I'm always up for co-modding, just don't expect me to do anything once the game starts (doesn't mean I won't do anything :V )

(I don't really need any help to run the game itself, just someone to review my setup and to share my thoughts with)
I'd glady accept, but to be honest the fact that you've promised that your game "won't be as bad as the last time" makes me question if that'd be a good idea wwwwwwww
I guess I'll play and see for myself how everything goes. Anyways, thank you very much for the offer <3

Reviewing goes under co-modding :V

But hey, I have a sense of balance. I just have too much fun making my set ups

Chances are you're probably going to find forum mafia to be a lot more challenging than IRL mafia.

There's probably still a little time left before somebody signs up for the last slot, so I recommend that you check stuff around in the mafiascum wiki or read at least part of an earlier game before the game starts to get used to the terminology, it'll help a lot and you'll be a lot less confused when the game kicks up :D

I have read up on the entirety of mafaiscum wiki of all roles, and that I have followed a few games by Abert B. Rampage, whom I find as a current favourite of mine with his aggro style. The recent Mirai Nikki mafia is probably what drew me in to pull such a bold action as to sign up for my first net!mafiascum. The occurrence of actual, well organized role-madness mafia games in real life are rare due to coordination difficulties, but it is undeniably one of the most fun.

Btw, anyone wants to try somewhat not-a-mafia, as we usually call them on my native forum, here? If yes i'll make a setup and sign up for a queue.

Well it's is somewhat not-a-mafia. Not sure. Actually i don't think that our usual setup will work here at all. I.e. open roles, mostly no role-flips and some of the ingame night actions are somewhat cryptically revealed in the day's post. For example, there was some unsual activity near the hospital" It can indicate that something happened to the doctor. For example doctor saved someone's else life, doctor killer was redirected, so doctor survived, doctor was roleblocked and the like. But maybe it's worth a try, On other hand i remember one really fun setup with closed roles. I won't say what it was, since it will ruin the setup, but overall rating was like 4.7 out of 5.

I think I'd like to play such a game, or at least see how it goes. Even if I prefer usual mafia games, I'd be interesting to see how everything turns out to be.

no role flips

Is this the forum equivalent to face-to-face mafia with no flips whatsoever through the entire game? Probably the most frustrating game of mafia I ever played. I didn't even know we'd lynched scum day 1 until we got randomly endgamed.

O_O I appreciate the compliment to my modding but have you considered picking a scummer a little more.. interactive? Like coughanyoneelse but in all seriousness we always welcome new players with lynches as long as you're willing to commit enough time to play and post!

I can't think of a mafia setup I would want to play less then no-flip mafia. Surprise you won! too bad no one told you and you kept killing each other until only one remained!

If the problem's not knowing when someone is scum, what about making the flips about alignments but not roles?

Admittedly, some of the role madness games that only flipped role names (Kilgamayan's Moriya Shrine Revolution) were practically no-role-flip games because the names tended to not help so much :V It led to a few silly shenanigans at the end.

Anyway, that'd be okay. You're still getting the roles of all the townies you lynch anyway because ~*~claims~*~, but it means scum are able to deny town the roles of those they nightkill (and their own). And it'll CUT DOWN ON SETUP GAMING

I know, I was bringing it up because they were talking about not flipping roles but flipping alignments, silly!

I think I didn't add enough words into my explanation to make it clear that the alignments were also flipped though `-` I meant to say "instead of their role description too" somewhere but I forgot

The sticky thread in Mystia's Stored Games (called Mystia's Archive) has the Mafia games seperated into one post. They are in chronological order.

Separated. Seperated. This phone spellchecker is bogus.

Dormio also has us covered with a more in depth record of the mafias of yore.

Oh.
In that case. /in for the queue or however you do it.
Also i'm not sure how to name it, since it will spoil main specialty of the setup, so i'll leave it "Nameless" for now.

Alright, so I technically have 14 players right now. I'll allow one more day of sign ups if anyone wants to take Dormio's spot, but I'll start it if it doesn't happen.
