i fiddled around a bit more with this and i managed to make it so when the host collects the quest item everyone gets their flag set, and they also get their reward money+cutscene.
Oh man, that's pretty fantastic. Though, does this at all mess with who is able to accept requests from Nazrin? (The host should be the only one who can)

as for there being 2 translations i'm not sure what you want to do, my translation might have a few missing pieces but is otherwise complete, but i'm pretty sure it has quite a few errors in it.
Well, you could send me what you have and I'll try to integrate it with my translation script and merge the translations.

I went ahead and did the first text of the op
One thing would be making the outer white border slightly yellow to match the original (if feasable). Also, like you mentioned, making the black outline slightly bigger. Other than those things, it looks fine.

I'm still trying to figure out how to maneuver the menu... I keep closing the game accidentally.
Ingame menu:

Change Equipment
Switch Characters
Status
Return to Ship
Quit to Title Screen

(You press "H" to use medicine now, by the way)

OK sorry to make a double post but just thought I should to get some more attention to this.  I went ahead and did the first text of the op, had to go into google to get a text form of the image and then went on to different places to get a better translation.

I tried to remake this as close as I could, I do see now that I could make the outlines a bit bigger to match the old ones but I'd like others opinions on it.
You just need to make the outer outline (the white part) a little grayer (like the original Japanese) and you're set IMO.

So it is normal that when I try to switch my characters, the game closes?

OK I believe I fixed it, its a bit hard to find what the normal color of the outline was so I picked and and darkened it a bit to match the over all look of it. I also thickened the black outline by 1.

only the host can open the quest menu, and from what i see there is no side effects of doing the quests out of order, just unlocks things out of sequence
ok i'll pm you the script BUT, you will need edit nazrintalkcore to match mine and integrate all the points where i add the custom syncing: "MailType.QUEST"
So it is normal that when I try to switch my characters, the game closes?
do you have your game patched(1.04 is the current i believe), what does your stderror.txt say?
the characters might still switch even when it crashes as it saves when you do so

Yeah, it switches, but the crashes are annoying. I think it's at 1.01, so I should get updated. Link?

I'm quite interested myself. Also, what are your game progress guys?

I haven't heard from anything yet, so i don't know what progress has been done for either the script or cutscenes.
i sent my messy completed script but it may take awhile for ryason55 to finish.
and we don't have anyone to either transcribe/translate the cutscene text AFAIK so editing the dialogue would be alot more difficult, but I'm just rehashing info.

Just up to what mission number is the game anyway? I already hit page 7 and no new stuff. I guess it's over then?

I have to admit that this game was far more challenging than the first one. Also, did anyone unlock Kanako? She doesn't seem to appear anywhere.

You're right, I thought she was at the bottom of the ship with Suwako, but she isn't available.

Oh well. At least I have a handful of unique stuffs, yet I'm still fond of the bow and sniping enemies while my partner uses a melee weapon (specifically Flan's Laevtein (sp?).

Time for a new game, this Suika and the 100 oni sounds promising.

Yeah, no Kanako either.
But to be honest, I find this game to be easier than the previous one. Mainly because of the reduced damage and HP.
Just upgrade your armor to increase your defense up to 300(it's easy) and you'll be nigh-invincible, no-selling everything but the attacks from the final boss and the bonus bosses.
I use Byakuren to further emphasize it. "Superhuman passing through~"

As for weapons, I think the unique ones is way easier to get than in the previous game and you'll get to use them more than normal weapons. The only downside is lower stats, but the options it gives you more than pays for that.
For your partner, best weapon without a doubt is Sakuya's knifes. They're good at aiming them and can trigger the special attack almost every time.
As for you, that varies.
For bosses, Roukanken and Hakurouken is good because other than being a twin sword, its special attack grants invincibility(and it looks like I'm using Byakuren's SC in HM).
For mobs, Suika's horns with its spin attack, that sucks enemies in, is great to soak a lot of damage while keeping yourself mobile. Also works fine on bosses too, if you know when to dodge.
Once you got these weapons, just breeze through the game while keeping them upgraded to match the enemies' strength.

But now, with a level 495 Laevanteinn, I just wipe everything that comes close. It works like the Sword of Hisou(delayed strikes has guard frames). The Four of a Kind special attack is pretty neat too.

In short, it's easier, but it's more fun to play, since you can last longer and going melee actually worth it now.
Hoping for a more challenging quests now. Maybe in some future patches.

Actually, I have question for this game

How do you manage to play offline 3-4 people multiplayer in this game? When I', trying it with my friends, we only manage for 2 player game, and when we add another save data for player 3, the game just crash like that
And how do you play on-line in this game? I'm confused how to make it working

Thanks in advance

the 3rd box is the IP in the ttg2net starting window, the host must be the first game opened(joining an unstarted game causes a crash is why) in order to host just set it to blank, then after you get the host running open more ttg2nets but this time make sure they have the IP of your machine(or just put 127.0.0.1 into the IP) and then they will connect to the hosting game, but something to keep in mind is that the message the game displays at the title screen before you can choose the options is the spot where you choose your input device, answering the message with a click causes that window to use your mouse, but pressing a gamepad button assigns the specified gamepad to that window.

It's still not working for me, even tough I've left the IP box empty and while I input my IP Address in that box, the game just crash without any message,
so I can't make the host and the client running the ttg2net.exe
Does it has something to do with my pc specification, since I'm using Windows 64bit?

My spec is Windows 7 SP1,
Processor : AMD A10 5800K APU
VGA : Ati Radeon 5770 HD
Ram : 8GB

My Gensokyo Treasure Hunting program closes whenever I press ESC.  Oddly enough, the original Gensokyo Treasure Hunter G game now closes when I press ESC, too, even though it didn't when I played the game a few years ago.  Anyone know how to fix this?

That's strange, ESC is used like a save a quit function, maybe it was in a later update? I've always been able to do that. I don't know about the second one but the first one doesn't have a rebindable key for that iirc.
