Edit: Seems like the final boss switches to a different mask based on her emotions in her conversations with Miko, and from what I'm getting Miko was either trolling the boss or got spooked a bit.

What I meant is that's what they're focusing during the whole thing. Can't blame them, I mean, those legs...

And damn, Byakuren's spellcard is awesome! It's a counter move that activates with both physical and shot attacks, including boss spellcard.
