Two new Ghibli movies announced for 2013

One is about the designer of the goddamn Zero, the most badass airplane to ever fly over the Pacific Ocean.
The other should be of interest to us Touhoufags, it is based on the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

Both premiere at the same day it seems, though the article doesn't say when that is.

Either way, I'm hype

I don't care if Ghibli is "entry level"; they make gorgeous, well-written movies. My daughter has seen probably all of them, and tends to like the more thoughtful films (e.g., Whisper of the Heart, The Cat Returns). So glad these guys are still making films.

How is Ghibli 'entry-level'? I've never heard that

And I've yet to see all of them, but not once has a Ghibli movie disappointed me.

Oh fuck yes, another incoming Miyazaki masterpiece. He's like, my idol. I've watched every single movie he's scripted (bar the newest ones which have yet to be dubbed) and I've been blow away every time.
In fact, I rewatch them every couple years (one round being right now if you've heard me talk about it on IRC). They're just too good.
Kilga is this right; like is this person seriously the player, and it's not some alias or something that's designed to be deliberately obfuscating? NekoNekoRex. Who the hell is that :C   ~Poya Aaaa (Serela), Bunny Must Die Mafia

Haha sounds like the right time for us to organize some local MoTKer gatherings to go watch the film together. Make them come in Kaguya costumes too lol

Looking forward to Kaze much. Less to Kaguya, though. Story's had so many takes I'm kind of sick of it.

it's entry level because of it's popularity, basically. doesn't mean it's bad, just accessible.

I've been waiting for the Bamboo Cutter film for what feels like years, so glad to see it is finally coming soon.
