I know I've seen it answered before, but I did a few quick searches and couldn't find it.

There's also AutoHotkey. Just open the sample script it gives you, and write in keys like this:

a::z

would make hitting a type z. It has the advantage of also offering a billion other uses if you learn how to script it.

Special keys are written as Capslock, LCtrl, LWin, LAlt, and so on.
