I think it's the first time I'll ever say this, but I'm... not that pleased with what Hussie's doing right now.

It was really nice to see Aranea coming back, but the whole deal with giving her a forced bad attitude just completely trashes/kills off the the character that we had seen up until now and just turns her into a Vriska who is not Vriska.

"bad attitude" was probably not the best way to convey what I mean.

I get the impression that Aranea has turned 180? from a selfless character into a selfish character with spotlight hunger.

One of her major character traits just completely disappeared for this to happen. Being a fan who really liked Aranea and heavily disliked Vriska for her narcissism what I see is basically turning a polar opposite into the other for this particular trait.

I think it's fair to say that some of Vriska may have rubbed off on Aranea, because the opposite is certainly true. So you're right that her personality has shifted somewhat. I'm just not entirely sure that's a bad thing; given how many of the future/past trolls are opposite spectrums, perhaps the "point" is to get them to interact and grow up a little.

I don't think Aranea is comparible to Vriska until she kills someone for her plan. I don't think what she's doing is bad either. She wants to be a hero. More importantly, she thinks she can do this, and is the only one who can do this, so why not take a chance to be a God Damn Hero like she's always wanted? At least she's not trying to create Lord English so she can have a showdown with him, like a certain ancendant tried to do.

Also holy shit she can DO that?
