How clouded is your mind? - The Psycho-Pass Thread

So, what did you guys think of the enigmatic Psycho-Pass now that it has finally been released?

Personally, I always wait for a few more episodes before ever giving something as dark and potentially deep as Psycho-Pass a thorough analysis, though, so pardon me if I don't have much to say right now. But, I would love to read what you guys have to say about it~! ;)

Reminds me of Minority Report, but even more heavy-handed with the Big Brother aspect.

Very interesting show. Deals with some really heavy shit, even in the first episode. Great potential, I'll be watching this.

EDIT: Whoa, Urobachi (Madoka guy) is writing this? NOW I'M HYPED.

Minority report but without RITALIN IS NOT A DRUG. I like the whole thing concept, reminds me of Britain for some reason, you know those streets where every corner is a CCTV and if how they catch them scalies just loitering around and all that? Basically it is all I see for now, I think it has great potential. Also, thought crime arguments galore. this may just lead to some serious debates...

As for comparisons this vs K  is probably the two serious contenders toe to toe for awesome shows this season. (that is... if K doesn't descent into BISHONEN ONLY territory which it has all the dangers of becoming). Meanwhile, I am tempted to say this show mighhhhhhht be better than Jormungand Perfect Order, but probably less worthy of weekly anticipation than Jojo 2012. (simply out of HIGH TENSION)

It felt even more info-dumpy than usual first episodes and felt a bit too off the wall and too many baseline logic issues
Spoiler:
how again does the rookie lady who went to ~police academy~ and wrote a thesis on it be so clueless on how everything works and the pewpew guns?  This was bugging me the whole time
but unlike most modern moeblob pandering garbage I don't mind at all giving it another few episodes to get on track , the concept is really promising.

This is going to take a lot of proper execution, but it definitely has potential. There seems to be an aim to channel a lot of the OVAs that came out in the 80's and 90's that were really gritty and dark and commonly took place in a dystopian near future. Those could get really campy, but they could also be really fun. Definitely worth a handful of episodes.
