That is my job, and if anyone thinks they can outdo me, I will sue, wack, oppress them, and jail them in a mental institution. With the straitjackets and everything. I will coat him (or her!) and sling them like a Shinki.

You have a weird accent. ;)
Well then, let's do this in order of games, shall we?
The fact that when we use puns, we all fail, is something we shouldn't debate. Sure, as a quick one-time joke, puns may wreak havoc on one's spleen, but where's the real sustenance? Mankind wears his hatred like a coat - oh, he may show what you may mistaken for kindness once in a while but don't be fooled: you can't ignore all the wars we've gotten ourselves into.
You keep on thinking there's something to be proud of when it comes to puns. But real humor is ingrained in the cruelty of man's history (millions of years old and still as bloody as the dark ages! Die, you say? We've done a lot of that.)
You don't gain anything from mere puns. The melancholybaaah, that was easy... of others is so much richer with humor. My german friend got hit by a car once; his knee? Tore it right off on impact. Now that's humor he couldn't quite experience himself, but I was in stitches (come to think of it, so was he). We're cool about it now btw; signed "Kiss me, I'm crippled!" on his cast and all; in his own words, "Un zhen, ve had a good laff about eet." So he found it funny too in the end.
Notice the buildup? Puns don't have that. I guess you could say god-damned awesome humor needs to come from something emotional and powerful at its source. Such as the pain and suffering of others. So quit acting like pun-mastery is something brag-worthy - it's a weak humor form. ;)
Well, nine thirty. Bar ah keep headin' down to, here I come! :V
