>But before that.. "A word of advice, try the fries, and make sure to ask for them to be lightly salted with Garlic Salt. Quite nice really."
>"I prefer cinnamon, myself." Lynx smiles in response. "But thanks for the advice."
>Smile, and back to our meal!
>There's not a tremendous amount left to your meal, as you've been talking around bites. Much as you enjoy a conversation, you were quite hungry. And it's not hard to make short work out a meal when it's a good one, let alone when you're quite hungry to go with it. You'll be finished long before Kiku is. Not that this is hard, she eats at a rather measure pace, fitting her disciplined image. She seems to be pulling herself back together, no longer concerned with exchanging dirty looks with Dragonhawk. She did look at you a bit sideways once or twice during your exchange with Lynx, but said nothing.
>Despite the initially icy reception to the Manari, the other patrons of the restaurant return to their own affairs, seemingly content to leave the gang to their own affairs. Perhaps seeing them get along with the Morning Star helped but the people at ease, for one reason or another. The pregnant woman and her companion did stand up to leave, but a glance at their table revealed they were finished their meal anyway. Stephanie comes out from the back to settle up their bill with the child-bearing one as her companion departs the building.
>As your remaining offerings dwindle, the next person to stand is a bit tenser. One of the oni, the one with the bright blue streaks in her red hair, comes to her feet. Despite yourself, you feel a touch of apprehension. Every oni you've ever known loves a good fight, and the Dragonhawk seems to be the kind of woman who never turns one down. A bad combination. Fortunately, the table she moves towards is not the Manari table, but rather, the one with the green-haired school who had joined her before. The two of them exchange a friendly smile as the oni joins the trio. You note the tall one seems a bit stern in the face, but she keeps her peace. Not entirely unlike Kiku, that.
>Dragonhawk, you note, seems almost dissapointed.
>As you polish off the last the coleslaw, you consider the lone remaining carrot and couple bits of meat left. That was good. And filling, too, which is very satisfying. Although, you could definitely go for some dessert.
