[Minecraft] MotK Minecraft Server - Server closed
Cadmas:
I started working today so funding is something I could maybe do, but if hosting requires a really good internet connection then someone else would have to do that.
Agent of the BSoD:
I would be willing to maintain the server. However, my issue is lack of funds right now. If I had the money, I'd be willing to do so. But until then, I can't afford it.
DX7.EP:
Found a fairly compelling host that I believe we can move to and can afford. Not sure about how much RAM to get though (debating between various 2-4GB options) - what's the current server have, out of curiosity? CPU info would be neat as well just for clarification, if it is available.
Also thinking that upon the installation and setup of the new server a testing and transition period (probably 2-5 weeks depending on pace) will be needed.
NegaZero:
I don't play much, but I would be more than happy to help financially. I don't know much about maintaining a server, so yeah :V

Our current server runs on 2 GB RAM. 4 would be overkill. I have no idea what the CPU speed is but I don't think it really matters that much. Connection speed is the real bottleneck.

I'll be happy to provide all the world files and plugins with configurations and whatnot. However, you'll likely need to come up with a new setup if you want to start on the most recent version, because many plugins are out of date, notably Multiverse. Bukkit's new policy of not running any "unsafe" code has hamstringed a lot of plugin development, but important stuff like lwc, dynmap, essentials is generally reliable in updating quickly.
