>Better be safe than sorry, good friend!
>Try to remember if you have lighter in the pockets of your spare dirty robes, if so make a mental note to create a Molotov cocktail as an emergency weapon. You don't need no alcohol anyways, that's for hedonistic weaklings. After all we can't forget you are a beautiful strong youkai who don't need no booze.

>There is something to be said for that, but you'd need time to let your hair down, and that thought is kind of irksome.
>You are your own source of fire! Conjuring Demon Fire is what you do!

> Are those salt crystals moist?
> How quickly can we use our demon fire and how far does it reach?

>The salt is a bit moist and grimy on the outside. You intended to wash it off while getting it ready for sale.
>You can summon up a whips of demon fire with a thought. It reaches about as far as you can through it; which is a good several yards on the ground.

>Let's not go towards the poorman's anti tank weapon here, it's a danmaku duel not a war . < .
>What areas appear immediately open?

>Going lethal would definitely end poorly for you. It's not as though danmaku battles can't be won with just danmaku, people do it all the time. You just have to either wear her out out run through all her spellcards...
>For right now, below you (Which was formerly to your left) should be open. But you are aware there is another shot in that direction waiting to burst. If they are anything like your own danmaku, being close to them would make them practically impossible to dodge and probably be enough to take you down.

Absurd idea time, preemptive absorption of the orb danmaku before it bursts by ramming with bucket, anyone with my insane plan? . < .

I'd assume the orb will just explode when we ram it. Which would mean we'd be very close to it when it bursts. Doesn't sound too good. :V

Assuming we can evade that bubble somehow, I'd go with trying out the salt-explosion tactic if we're certain that no bystanders will get hit.
If it works, we could either use up the rest of our spellcard or give her a few more whacks with our bucket which would hopefully be enough to end the fight.
Using the spellcard would be preferable I guess.
Otherwise I'm out of non-escalating options.

>There is, but if you dropped directly you think that you would miss it.
>You can drop and stop yourself before hitting the ground. You have to start breaking your fall a bit early, so the last part of the drop is a bit slow in comparison.
>The crowd is gathered in a large ring around the building where your opponent was playing music. You don't think they will have much to worry about from danmaku right now, it shouldn't have enough range to be a problem.

Well then.

> Grab one salt crystal.
> Start falling downwards.
> While falling, throw the crystal in the oni's general direction, then immediately follow it up with some demon fire. Throw the crystal in a rather high arc and the demon fire in a lower one aimed so that it will hit the crystal somewhere near the oni.
> Now if only it actually hits...
> Close our eyes before the fire hits the crystal.
> Stop our fall in time to avoid smashing into the ground.

>You toss the salt into the air and drop.  As you to, you conjure some demon fire and toss it toward the crystal.
>The two meet in midair...and nothing really happens that you can see. Maybe a fraction of a second isn't enough to heat a crystal that size...
>The fire continues its arc, however, and comes reasonably close to the oni, enough to make her dart out of the way before it burns out. "You tryin' to set the whole place on fire?" she calls out.  >The salt crystal falls somewhere into the alley behind the tavern, you don't think it would survive the impact.
>Stopping close to the ground, you can see the other bubble shot explode, far enough away from you now that it shouldn't be a matter to dodge. You also note a few more are sailing through the air now, broadly to the left and right of you.

>Wait for her to fire another bubble shot, then charge.
>Move slightly to the side so that we hit the shot on one side. Keep our bucket towards the center of the shot to shield from the shots it explodes into. If this wouldn't work, then simply graze past it, but going through the shot would be more unexpected.
>Once we're past the bubble, head towards the oni's face.
>When the oni moves to block or counter, flip over her and bucket her in the back of the head.

>You wait for her to fire another shot, it does not fly directly toward you, but it comes close enough, and fly directly at her!
>You hear the shots burst around you, but moving away from them as you are, you don't think you're going to be in any real danger for at least a few seconds. You fly directly toward the oni, aiming for her face. She watches you come.
> As you close in, the oni waits, then she suddenly ducks aside. Committed to your maneuver, there is nothing you can really do that that; you are busy trying to come to a sudden dead stop and swing your lower body around alright. The oni's arm shoots out to grab you, but you are already twisting around in midair. Then you come down and slam right into into her elbow, bringing a loud and pained swear from the the oni's lips.

>You not really managed to make it into a good danmaku yet.
>So instead, you just unload shots at her. She tries to recover and back away, but she is not fast enough. At this distance, she cannot hope to dodge, and numerous danmaku slam into her.  The oncoming shots from her spellcard fade away, as she backs away as fast as she can.

>You back away, and the bullets keep coming. They don't overtake you just yet, but they are certainly moving faster than you can back away.
>The bullets are a variety of yellows, oranges, reds, and greens. As you watch, they twist to and fro in a horizontal S-shaped pattern. One or two would be simple to dodge, but with so many overlapped, you would have to be careful.
