> How long do we have before we'll need to start considering sleeping?
> Take a look around and make a mental note of the environmental layout of the immediate area. We will want to get back underground when this is all over, after all.
> Go west, young youkai!
>You've only been up a few hours. It should be awhile before you need to sleep.
>You take your time to memorize the area. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
>You proceed westward, passing through the bit of plain and heading into the forest. The trees overhead do not quite form a sheltered canopy, but it is definitely darker and less open. Thick, mostly leafless bushes cover the ground along with brown grasses and dead leaves, making it difficult to find any place to settle down without damaging the plantlife. On the other hand, you doubt any of it could really win against the bottom of your bucket if you had desire to settle down. The trees are reasonably close together here, but it should be easy enough to fly between them. You imagine some people would have a problem with head room here if they tried to do much more than floating here, but you doubt you'd encounter those issues and should be able to move freely. Snow clings to the ground, the trees, and the underbrush here and there, sometimes falling from the branches as the wind blows. Obvious exits are north, south, east and west.
>It's strange to be surrounded by trees; it's been quite some time by a youkai's reckoning that you've even seen one. It's also strange to see so much plantlife after so long, there are certainly verdant places underground, but it's rare to see them anything close to this large and wild.
