>The banks are much easier, you can just hover about halfway and reach down. Your bucket is water tight.
>You take the knife in hand and  wash it off, using the edge of your blanket as a rag. It takes a little work to get some of scum marring the blade off, but by the time your done, you feel that the kitchen knife is clean enough to use for its intended purpose.

> Look around.
> Inventory

>You look around. You are perched on the river banks by the main bridge of the ancient city. You can still hear the city's music pretty clearly, but it is noticeably more faint than it would be within the walls. There are a few oni finishing on the river in the distance, but otherwise you are alone. Looking across the river, you can see the bridge princess' little house, tucked under the bridge. You don't see any signs of life around it, leading you to suspect either she is not home or taking a nap.

>That might not have been a bad idea. Oh well.
>As far as you know, she's not royalty of any sort. She probably feels differently about it to some degree, of course.
>Thinking on it, it is possible to circle around the city using the tunnels on the western side. However, that is not a direct route by any means and involves a lot of doubling back and going further away before getting closer. You suspect it may be possible to take an unattended boat and cross the river to one of the other tunnels that opens up to it, but that would still leave one with a lot of spelunking to do before getting back to the path that leads to the surface. As far as you know, that exit is the only way to leave the underground, save for getting through the recently formed geysers.

>You pack away your possessions how you like them, then make your way back up to the bridge, and follow the tunnel toward Yamame's Chamber.  It's not a hard trip on the worst of days, and you make it there easily.
>Walking into the web chamber, you find Yamame is hanging from the ceiling, fiddling with a web. She glances over her shoulder a moment after you walk in, then calls, "Hey, buddy!"
>She lowers herself toward the ground. "Hey buddy! That guy you were after? I think I saw him!"

>Your eyes light up.

I heard someone walking, and I knew it wouldn't be you, so I hid and waited til I could get a good look at him. And it was just like your said, he was dressed up like a farm guy, and had the hair and everything buddy! And he was looking at the ceiling a lot, so he was definitely looking out for you."
