Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

My guess on this part is she's been around long enough and had a strong enough sense of self to evolve from an ice fairy to an ice YOUKAI, but that's just me.  Will be interesting to see what the actual result is though.

The problem I see with that is that fairies are a type of Youkai. Not 'made from humans' like Alice, but they're still a supernatural creature, and hence, a Youkai.

Fairies aren't youkai. They're manifestations of aspects of the natural world, IE, trees, grass, sunshine, rivers, etc. Not entirely unlike the Shinto beliefs of Kami.
At least, that's how I see them. Of course, I could be wrong.

> [Aggress] Cirno: Go all out.

Unfortunately, Cirno is not a designated playable character, and if even if she was, she has not had a formal introduction which culminated asking what she would do first. She is therefore incapable of accepting commands. You're stuck being the nine-year-old (and the eight-year-old and the ten-year-old, who ... have also not had formal introductions, so you still can't be them and there was no point in bringing them up in the first place, never mind, d'oh).

The bottom line is that instead of being Cirno, you get ready to dodge while she sends out a simple bullet pattern.

> [Aggress] Sacchin: Backdash, 5B 5C

This isn't a video game, this is an audience-driven webcomic thingy! Instead of pushing buttons, you zip backwards and launch out a homing amulet combo, which is what those buttons would have done. This reduces Cirno's Health to Pretty Good.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: Bounce Yin-Yang Orb around.

THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA!

Your Health is reduced to Kinda Okay, and Cirno's goes down to Not Very Good.

Quote
> [Aggress] -=->

This is her cue to whip out a Spell Card. You've heard of Ice Sign Icicle Fall, of course. This is not, however, the "legendary" version.

Many apologies for the delays; I hit some REAL sleep-problems over the past week, and those are REAL motivation-killers.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: Go through the upper gap, and aim right for her as a counter!

You go through the upper gap, and scream like a little girl (which you are) as Cirno starts to fill it with more bullets. This brings your Health down to Meh.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: Nine years old vs. first ever spellcard? PANIC BOMB!

You are now too busy flipping the fricking-fricky-frick out to care whether this is supposed to be some kind of literal recreation of Bullet Hell shoot-'em-ups (which have "bombs" as a gameplay-mechanic), or something which is more closely meant to resemble an actual Spell Card duel (for which "bombs" wouldn't really make sense). Uh ... this counts as aiming right at her as a counter, right?

If anyone's surprised by the way this turned out, you have a bridge in The Demon World you'd like to sell them.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: Back up, graze, and focus shot.

Unfortunately, this game does not have a grazing mechanic, so there is no utility to getting really close to bullets, although it does make you feel kind of charged-up. You're also stuck using your Spell Card now that you've started it up, so you can't go back to using normal attacks until you bring Cirno's Health down to Kaput.

Quote
> [Aggress] -=->

You bring Cirno's Health down to Kaput. (Your own is still at Meh.)

All the bullets (including yours) shatter into harmless green sparks.

Quote
> [Aggress] -=->

And with that, she's back to Just Fine, ready for her next round.

> [Aggress] Sacchin: Bap Cirno with your gohei!

You bring her Health down to Not Bad, in addition to making her giggle uncontrollably.

Quote
> [Aggress] -=->

Unfortunately, you waste too much of your turn doing that, and you get danmaku to the face for trying to attack her at point-blank range. Your Health is reduced to Not Very Good.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: List Spell Cards.

Let's see ... yep, still Dream Sign Evil Sealing Circle and Dream Sign Duplex Barrier.

Quote
> [Aggress] Sacchin: Use the Ying-Yang orb again, but this time spin around wildly with the Gohei so it doesn't hit you.

You flip the fricking-fricky-frick out with that gohei, blocking the Yin-Yang Orb as it gets too close! It works, too, and brings Cirno to Not Very Good

Quote
> [S][Aggress] -=->

She readies her next Spell Card OW!
