Pretty much, and with a large spoonful of praying to the God of RNG. I haven't figured out a technique to beating it besides pure read and dodge, and I usually capture it better if I focus completely on dodging every ring one at a time.... err, that doesn't make sense! :wat:

At the moment my history with the spell is 96/402, which is just under 1/4 I guess. I do fail it 75% of the time :V

this is hilarious. Kandata's Rope at 90 fps, attempted pacify. just for the heck of it. I didn't even survive for 20 in-game seconds, but I still pull 2 or 3 crazy dodges.

but yeah, this stuff is really awesome and fun. I actually wouldn't mind trying this for months. I fucking laugh at how I see nothing and still dodge a whole lot.

but I believe that timing it out would be inhumane. not impossible, but man...crazy stuff.

More EoSD stage 5 fun. Awesome pre-midboss spam fairy action (two waves before the wallfairies) followed by one awesome walldodge. A shame I died a few seconds after, but that's still pretty good.

In this I pull a few lucky dodges before Ran and during Yukari's last three spells, mostly Humans and Youkai, and Danmaku Bounded Field. Also, Curse of Dreams and Reality seemed like I was fucking around and TRYING to die.

the lucky dodge occurs against shikieiki. third round around the 2.20 minute mark. everything just falls down on me and I prepared myself to get hit. came out unscathed because I didn't move :v

some other sick dodges happened in that run, against Reimu, too. but that was the only one where I can say it was lucky. ERRYTHING ELSE TOTAL SKILLZ :V well. not really, but I knew what I was doing, at least. this is also my closest I have ever come to a 1cc lunatic in PoFV. since I only play komachi, I automatically lose a life in stage 6. I screwed up against yuka bad. Else I might have won :v

Oh man, this was ridiculous. I really wish I was recording when it happened... Anyway, I'm playing LLS Hard, which I haven't really done much practice on, and I get to this attack of Elly's. Well I tried to go left to loop around it but I knew I didn't have time so I sorta just parked myself between the bullets - the red dot is a rough estimate of where I stopped moving. Then the second wave came and I was fully expecting to die right there. Then miracles happened.

It's really not impressive compared to some of the other dodges around here, but I'm still glad that my intuition on bullet hitboxes was right this time. It's amazing what wonders can come from sitting still and praying! (Of course, I died seconds later, but, well...)

Stage 5 streaming bunnies. I ended up trapped at the top of the screen and made a last ditch effort unfocused dash downwards...and didn't get hit. The section right after has some nice hitbox abuse too.

There's at least one really good one in this replay. Kogasa's final. Just zipped right in between 2 4 amulets at the bottom. The whole run is no focus so of course that lends itself to some crazy stuff. Stage 4 might have something good, and maybe something in Byakuren's final since I did manage to cap it. I'll post a screenshot of the one on Kogasa if I remember tomorrow but im going to bed right now.
