I discovered Steam has another badge to earn. You need to do 4 out of 6 "achievements" to earn the badge. I had three done already before I even noticed it.

Here's the fun thing;

One of the 6 "missions" is to buy a gift on Steam. Note: It's just buy the gift. Afterward, you can simply gift yourself whatever you just bought.

Hmmm humble bundle 7 has 3 additional new games. That is Cave Story+, The basement collection and offspring fling. Most happy with cave story, since it had a graphical makeover as well as new sound track. Also if you've already bought the bundle before they had those games then you automatically get the games as listed for free.

Steam had some nice deals today! Purchased CS bundle for about ?5.60 with CS source and CS:GO included and some other ones I can't remember. Also bought left 4 dead bundle too for about the same price as CS bundle.

I've been waiting since the start of the sale for DMC4 to drop in price. I budgeted for it to hit $5, like it has in the past. What happens? DMC4 gets a flash sale... that only applies to the 3+4 bundle. 4 is still only 66% off.

...but aren't these all just flash games you can play for free on the internet anyway? I know for a fact you can just play Abobo on Newgrounds.

It's not so much an indie bundle as it is a select picks of freeware [indie] games compiled on a different website for download... which can lose the author revenue if he was hosting it elsewhere that pays for pageviews (like Kongregate), not that I'm sure the bundle-maker didn't already get permission to do this from the authors, but it makes a point. It could be more beneficial to the author to just play the game on the internet.

But I digress.

That is the very definition of a bundle.

If you read the website you'll see that all that was addressed.
They're all playable offline, flash-based or not(Nitronic Rush is most definitely not a flash game rofl), and yes they're all downloadable from their respective developers' websites.

Actually they have a whole pack of stuff that happens to include it, though the individual titles are also on substantial sale (Mark of the Ninja was the only one I was interested in so I just bought it alone). Man I'd've dropped the link here when I found out about it a few days ago if I'd thought of it. =X

Note: the bundle totally just gives you Steam keys. As the friend I heard about it from said: "I just bought a set of games on Amazon from Microsoft that are just a bunch of Steam keys. And even going through three companies it is easier than installing Dragon Age 2 was last night (stupid EA)." :V

I knew about the bundle, but I didn't bother mentioning it because the games in the bundle could be broken down into 'game I already own and highly recommend, two games I don't care about, and two games that look kind of interesting but are also saddled with the festering cancer that is GfWL".

Also! In addition to the mentioned deals on the Steam frontpage, AI War: Fleet Command and its expansions (save the most recent) are all 75% off on Steam for the next week! Must-get if you're an RTS fan, IMO.
