I hope it is the general topic. I'd like to give the normal DotA some love.

Here's the trick me and my friend performed today: pick a Huskar and a Shadow Demon. Huskar gets Aghanim's Scepter (but after he gets the usual Helm of the Dominator + Power Treads + Armlet of Mordiggian). Shadow Demon gets Ethereal Blade (I only bought boots before it because I am bad at farming as Shadow Demon and no additional gear can help me).

Level 4 Soul Catcher on an enemy followed by Ethereal Blade.

Now use Life Break on it.

It's impractical, but glorious. You should try it if you have a friend who plays DotA. Life Break on an enemy targeted by Soul Catcher and Ethereal Blade takes at least 100% of the target's current HP in magical damage after the 25% magic damage resistance that all heroes have.

In other words, it instantly kills anyone if they do not have additional resistance. A hero with 6 Hearts of Tarrasque and 8000 HP goes down in one hit. That's pretty scary.
Yes, it can be countered with Planeswalker's Cloak. It is still horrifying to see someone's health instantly drop from full to only about 15%.

I like to do the same with Necrolyte + Huskar. :V

It can be done the way you described, too. I just think that the eredar + huskar combination is more awesome. There is something psychological about huskar one-shotting you without even throwing his spear. Crushed by manliness.
If dagon is a shotgun, then eredar and huskar's combo would be an ion cannon. :yukkuri:
Oh and I forgot to say that we had a huge advantage over the enemy team from the start. Our ganks and team play were much better than theirs. That is why we were even able to build our ion cannon. It only fired twice (and both times with a huge success, commented by me in game as written above in large letters) before the enemy team surrendered. I do not think it can be gotten easily in a balanced game. It is just here mostly to overkill people who are already defeated. Or to scare them. And it really scared them a lot, because all of their barracks were still there, and all level 3 towers were standing at the time when they admitted defeat. They just... did not want to be instagibbed anymore, I think. It's not fun.

Um, <any high damage nuke>+Maledict is fine too, and much more practical >_> You also don't need to make the enemy Ethereal as well.
