>Not memories of Nitori, so much as memories of things we've recently done. Tragedy and self betrayal does a number on one's desire for food.
>They probably would, if that's what you did. But saving your friends, and the world besides, is hardly a tragedy, and turning off a weapon is hardly a self betrayal. Not easy things to do, perhaps, but you still done good.
>Have we told the others about what happened yet?
>Not as of yet.
That's something else I figured you'd like to take of that yourself. You've been unsure whether or not to tell the girls on a one-on-one basis, or tell them all when you're all together.
>There's little better to do, let's go check that shrine like we meant to before this all started.
>On the contrary, there's plenty you could do in addition to that task. All you had to do was ask.
>1) You could bring that gold ring to a jewelers, to have it appraised or examined, whichever term you prefer. Conversely, you could take it to Patchouli. She speaks more languages than you, she might be able to translate the inscription on it. Conversely, if you brought it to one of the four shrines, they might be able to tell you if there's any lingering magic left about the thing.
2) You had a brief conversation with Utsuho on saturday, as you passed each other in the halls. She's scheduled the MRI she suggested for you on friday coming. She would have liked to have had it done sooner, but she alluded to some inter-hospital buerocracy with some irritation. However, she also mentioned that the hospital is looking for part-time workers, if you wanted to make a few dollars. Just ask for her at the front desk, any day, and she'd find something for you. It wouldn't be a 'regular' job, you could work basically whenever you have an interest to, but the beautiful doctor noted that you might pick up a few tidbits about the medical profession along the way.
3) You also have a similar standing offer from Koakuma, the manager of the Blue Lantern cafe that Rin works at as a waitress. A couple weeks ago, you covered a shift that Rin couldn't make, just as a one-time deal. Your presence at the place was, shall we say, very good for business, and Koakuma's been trying to recruit you ever since. In more ways than one, the flirtatious little thing. At the time, you weren't interested in a steady job as such, but if you wanted to work today, or any other day, then you'd be more than welcome to. It was kind of fun working there, plus you'd be working with Rin, which is also good, and although you're not a material person, the 'uniforms' of the place are very cute. Although calling the store to find out if they have sufficient staff already wouldn't be a bad idea, just to be polite and to save yourself the trip.
(Parser's box: Probably should have mentioned this in episode one. Sorry about that.)
4) As mentioned previously, you still have the prospect of telling your friends about what happened that day. Nitori's already up, obviously, and knowing Reisen, it won't be long before she's up and around, making breakfast for her and her mistress. You could sit down with them one-on-one, or wait till they're all awake. You're just not sure if they'd believe you. It's a fantastic story, after all, and you're not sure how you could prove what you say is true. There's no evidence of the fight with the Youma, and you don't believe you can demonstate your new power without transforming. Transforming into your 'Magical Lotus' form would go a long way to convince them, you're sure. However, given the physical repurcussions you experienced the last time you transformed, you're not in a hurry to do it again without provocation.
5) As Nitori alluded to eariler, there's still Tokiko-sensei's math exam tomorrow to deal with as well. Despite everything that's happened, you feel you're quite adequately prepared, but you suppose it couldn't hurt to go over your notes and equations once more, if you really wanted to.
