Can't get vsync patch to work for EoSD

Pretty much what the title says. EoSD is basically unplayable as is.

Why do people make threads being as unspecific as possibly possible.

Post screenshots, does it give you an error or does it just not work, if it errors what does it say, are you running AppLocale, do you have japanese language installed, what is your OS, what is the name of your EoSD executable, do you have any other vpatch.dll files in the EoSD that aren't vpatch_th06.dll

UGH. The original post was three or four lines long (granted it wasn't as specific as it could have been, but nothing as bad as that). I don't recall exactly, but it was something like "Yes I'm running it in the EoSD folder, it says 'File format unknown'". I have no idea how only the first line got on there. Sorry about that.

Anyway, no, I don't have Japanese language installed. I'm guessing that's the problem. When I try to "click here to view binary data", I get a mess of completely illegible (I'd post screenshots but I highly doubt that'd help anything).

You need to install Japanese language compatibility if you're on XP. Vista and 7 have it installed by default. Only for EoSD, you have to run vpatch.exe through AppLocale, which if you don't have it can be found here.

A screenshot of your EoSD folder would be useful though it that ends up not being the problem. You also have to name your EoSD executable to 東方紅魔郷.exe or ??g?.exe if you haven't done so.

I'm attempting to do so and have installed the japanese support pack  (Windows 7 Ultimate)

Do I go and switch region mode to Japanese or should I still attempt to get applocale because it is NOT compatible with Windows 7.

I receive an error message when attempting to run Vscync patch.

I believe I've found the proper menu to do so (refer to image) But I'm just asking for confirmation

Click the administrative tab, and you'll see the Change system locale button. That is the one that should be Japanese. It'll require a restart though.
