Sorry for not reporting in, I've been trying to write up material for the next thread since this one is on the verge of reaching 1000 posts. So I haven't had time to put together any articles till now. But now that I have I'm going to go ahead and report what's happen to date....
E-4 Report
After facing the hell that was E-3, E-4 turned out to be a
BIG BREATHER compared to it! Mainly thanks to the less LOS requirements and easier chances to reach Midway Hime to battle her. Using a fleet of 2 FBB, CA, and 3 CV for the Carrier fleet and a CL, 2 CAVs, and 3 DDs for the escort team. I rarely got sent to the gutter nodes but on a few occasions and bauxite loss was much more manageable (about 300 per round roughly.)
So being sent home was rare and when it came to battling the Midway Hime she was a cakewalk thanks to the Type 3 shells which are a
MUST against her.
Of course she has a final form in which she becomes more dangerous, but it's hardly noticeable. thus she remained an easy kill.
My prizes I got from this:
Akitsumaru
Maikaze
And of course
Tokitsukaze
E-5 Report
For E-5 I used the same exact set up. Which actually helped me on E-4 and it worked on the most part. The only real issues that surfaced from this place was the night battles along the middle and north route (ESPECIALLY the NORTH ROUTE)
The CV hime herself seem to pose a little thread during most of the early parts of the match, however once she was on her last leg, she became harder to take down so I simply resorted to a support to cripple her defenses. Which then made the final blow easy! I didn't earn anything notable from this place, but I did of course score...
UnryuuWhile her stats are not the best, the advantage point I see to Unryuu is she is an economically efficient Carrier. She cost less than any other CV in terms of fuel and ammo so while you may not do nearly as much damage as other carriers, you will be saving fuel and ammo in the long run, she also comes with awesome planes upon upgrade.... and also she's has very lewd damage art. >_<
With that
Operation MI is over! Everyone can go home and rest now!
...

I guess not...
E-6: Extra Mission - Counter Attack on Operation AL / MI
Just when you think it's all over, one more surprise occurs, the abyss decdied to launch a counter attack in retaliation to what happen in AL and MI while you're fleets were out in battle! As a result you now must engage the enemy fleet that's invading your HQ! To top it all off...
You can only use fleet members that
DO NOT HAVE THE AL or MI TAG FOR THIS BATTLESo it's best to save what you have for the last battle if you haven't exhausted your supplies of Kanmusus back sometime ago in the other campaigns.

This mission is not for the sane, nor is it easy to do, you will be tested to your limits with this map. And I'm already feeling quite tense from what I witnessed of this map.
Summary of E-6
If there's anything I learned about this map, it's
pure luck that's going to be the deciding factor wether or not you win it. This is especially true if you do not have YAmato class ships in your team.
There are two routes you can take to reach the boss nodes, both with thier own sets of dangers...
The north route requires 2 CVLs which will garuntee you a route to the boss node under the condition you... meet the insanly high LOS requirement. From my aanalysis if you have 3 Saiuns and 3 Type 0 Observation planes, you can reach the boss node with an LOS of
364. which is by no means easy to get since you need to have crafted said items and have a batch of highly trained Kanmusu. (Around the 70s at earliest)
The north route has a standard fleet, a sub fleet (best to line ahead and ignore it) and a CV Hime Fleet....
The CV hime is the node that will most likley wreck you since her planes can do high damage and have great accuracy. If your CVLs take a hit, you'll most likely get sent back home. But if you make it past her, then you still have the boss...
The South route invovled having CVs in your team and you have a random chance of going in several directions once you enter it. It could take you to gutter nodes or even to the CV hime but you will face two major roadblocks...
Two night battle nodes... both with enemies fleets fully capable of using cut-ins and double attacks, Bring Star shells and search lights, you will be needing them if you use this route. And above all else... pray... if you make it through both night battles, then you have a chance to reach the boss node... which then you fight against....
The
Symboitic Battleship Hime...
Once again the familair elite abyssal ship returns again as the final boss and like always... BBhime hits like a tank and is tough as one too... The only way you can ensure you can defeat her invovles being able to bring a CTL in your fleet. So Kiso, Kitakami or Ooi will be sufficenet for this case. The rest rides on hoping they don't wreck your CTL before they have a chance to fight back in night battle.
If you CTL hits the hime, she's almost garunteed to be heavily damaged or sunk. Beware though for the final battle with her invovles her bringing her own clone (making the final kill
INSANELY HARD)
Best of luck to anyone who dare tries this... and your prize if you succeed...
IsokazeAnd yes, I want Isokaze... so I'm gunning to beat E-6 and I'm doing nightly streams, and I'm losing my sanity in the process....
Also heads up for you Teitokus, the event ends
August 29th! Be sure to get what you can completed before the event ends!
There will also be an update for that period coming as well...
A CVL will be getting a Kai 2 upgrade. Who? No hints have been given yet.
