Title: poFV question/request
Post by: Phoenix_lostarr on February 25, 2011, 05:24:55 PM
Ok, a few months back, I asked about setting up the controls for PoFV 2-player. I was told to change the control schemes to "Full" and "P1" and it would then work. It didn't. What am I missing? ideally, can someone send me a screnshot of the correct combination to use? I want to have the laptop keyboard as player 1, and a USB keyboard as player 2, since I don't have a joystick.

AFAIK, both keyboards will be considered the same thing.  So for 2-player PoFV you'll probably need different keys set for each player regardless of which keyboard you're using.

IIRC PoFV has two control setups for keyboard versus.

Right:
NumPad = Movement
Down Arrow = Fire
Right Arrow = Bomb
Left Arrow = Focus

Left:
F, T, H, B = Movement
Z = Fire
X = Bomb
LShift = Focus

Edit:  Your custom.exe should look something like this.

I have mine setup so that player 1 uses the left control scheme while player 2 uses the right control scheme.

Ok, I tried that, and there are 2 problems. One, both the numpad and arrow keys fire/bomb/focus, so I can't get player 2 to move. Also, both keyboards are using both control schemes. I don't want this.  Umm.. help?  :blush:

It'd be easier if you took a screenshot of your custom.exe and the key config ingame.  Make sure you set player 1 to left and player 2 to right.  Setting both of them to full won't work.

Just hit PrtScn and paste it onto paint or some other program.
