Title: Top Gear!
Post by: Edible on December 20, 2010, 03:54:16 PM: It's back tomorrow with a new special. Stay tuned for awesome.

For those not in the know, Top Gear is a British motoring show that reviews and abuses cars new and old, from Alfa Romeos to Zondas. It's well worth a watch even if you're not a big fan of cars, however, because the production quality is through the roof and the three hosts (Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May) are easily the most personable and endearing on television today. Also, it's completely hilarious.

... Also, Top Gear America is airing, but I can't find the time to watch it. Oh well.

Yeah, I hear it's actually pretty good. I just haven't gotten around to watching it.

Seen the last one on TV where they made Top gear theme song out of engine sounds and commercial for the Volkswagen. Top gear is ace and got hooked to it thanks to my brother in law. The jerk :V

If you didn't got bothered, then you shouldn't even try to bother. Also way to go to follow people's advice blind without actually trying it out yourself first. Or do you always take people's word for it? :V

TG:US is starting to gain its own footing and is getting slowly better. I really hope it'll be like TG:Australia and change up the hosts because I can't stand Adam Ferrera. TG:Russia I've heard isn't as good, but I'd like to give it a shot some time.

That said, we've got the East Coast USA special coming up and they drive the Blue Ridge Parkway (NC!) and the Middle East special 5 days later, with a new season starting in January. Oh happy day!

... or maybe I trust a friend and his opinion on things?
Not like I had time to breathe until last month either, now that I'm on vacation I might check it out.

The problem with TG Russia is that it lacks several things to be good as an exact copy of the British one, and at the same time it fails to introduce something new to compensate for that. Consequently, while it might be an ok show for someone, who is not familiar with the original, it just fades in comparison with the British version.

Otherwise this episode was kinda meh, the specials were better in my opinion.
