Hi
This is really weird , I was running the games perfect on a comp befor with windows XP , but after switching to a better comp and Vista 64 , ive lost all shooting sound effects , its driving me crazy .
The music works and I can turn it off and on , and the sound of all overt hings like power up , enemys dying and capturing stuff works .
Ive tried to update directX and other stuff , reinstalls and still no good ,
not sure wtf is going on here , and its in all the games 6-12.8
any help would be great , thanks

So is what you're saying is that you can't hear yourself shooting?
If it's a new computer, it may be a problem with the audio card, for whatever reason. I've never heard of anything like this before. But, if your computer has an alternate speaker jack, try using the other one and see if it works. If not, someone else come help this person as I have no other ideas, besides a bad audio card.
Sorry... :(

Try running it in Compatibility Mode.

Yeah , like a idiot when switching comps , I forgot to make some setting changes , basicly I was trying to play the shooting sound effects through a speaker that the computre didnt know was there

Ahaa! Something to look into for those with multichannel speaker systems. Glad you figured it out. ^.^

I'd like to know how to configure this multichannel speaker stuff for hypercam3 on windows 7. The only way I can have hypercam record sound is to move the speaker cable to the mic jack and sound jack, but if I plug in any other form of speaker, it doesn't record sound. (I have 2 speaker jacks btw, and one working mic jack)
