Title: What can I do to save my run when a direction gets locked?
Post by: Chainsaw Guitar on August 17, 2010, 08:00:14 PM
Fucking Christ. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZFqfhjXt8k) The only thing I could think of doing was unplugging the keyboard, but that did nothing. I've only ever seen this shit in one other game, and that was LLS. >_>

Nothing really.  You're using a keyboard?  I've had this happen to me, but only on when running EoSD on Wine.  Basically, something in the system thinks the button is still pressed.  Sometimes hitting the button again will reset it's state, but generally it hasn't worked for me.  Nothing you can really do about it.  =/

What OS are you using?

I'm going to throw a guess out there and go
-Press the direction you're locked in, pause
-Unplug/disconnect keyboard
-Go to another window
-Replug keyboard, type some stuff, use arrow keys
-Go back to game, hold same direction and unpause.

There should be a pinned topic addressing this or something :V
Did you try pressing the four directional numpad keys? That always fixes it for me.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure mashing the keys is what everyone does when they suddenly lose control of their character. It didn't work for me . >_>

This started happening to me when I switched to 7. Never had that on Vista, though.
And nothing seems to work, other than closing the game and losing everything :<
