Considering just how many doujin mediums are devoted to Touhou, the content of much of Nico, and a festival in the thousands also devoted to Touhou, it's hardly surprising.

Why? I don't see this as something to worry about really. It just goes to show how many folks are willing to put alot of time into their Touhou shit. Like Tengukami, I'm not all that surprised that ZUN was listed as one of those types of people since...you know given all the shit people pump out that's Touhou related. It's a good thing to get into for a little extra scratch too, if your a doujin artist. Although I do wonder if anyone's ever put out a novel on Touhou. I'm sure someone has somewhere, but you just don't hear much about those compared to the comics and shit.

I will write the Touhou novel, and funnel 60% of any proceeds to ZUN. The other 40% will go to 3L.

I think you took my post tat too serious. I meant it more like a joke as in: If ZUN is influential person, it means a lot of virgin minds will be touhou-fied. =V

The thing is, individually he IS small-time. It's just that he lets his fans do so much, and gives them so much space to do it, that the fandom has taken off on its own in a huge way.
But this has been gone over a hundred times.

It occured to me that ZUN would probably be at least 10X as rich if he did his games in english as well (fan translations are done, but lets face it, alot of us just bit torrented it), I'm not actually sure if he even knows english.
