Okay so I made an art thing here before but it's buried under loads and loads of people who can actually draw and I only put up one crappy picture anyway, so here's me trying again.
Criticism is always appreciated! I'm not going to get better unless I know what I'm doing wrong, so feel free to point out any errors or mistakes I make!

this started as just a silly little request one of my friends had but then i forgot to make it silly after i got done with the face so that's why her expression is so derp

Well, this is coming from someone with no sense of proportion at all, so take it as you will, but your proportions don't really seem bad at all. The only thing that really bugs me is her right leg. It seems too small to me especially compared to her left leg.

Anyway, if you've read my non HME-posts in the past few days you can probably tell I've fallen in love with the Silent Hill franchise. After documenting my progress in the second game with this masterpiece (http://i36.tinypic.com/1zqezab.jpg), I got bored and flipped over the page and started doodling until I got this (http://i33.tinypic.com/2n87sj.jpg).
One of these days I will learn proportions.
And perspective.
And clothing.
And hands.
And hair.

The proportions aren't that bad, thus, the overall style of your art is quite ( or maybe too much ) good for a beginner.
One hint: pay attention to the legs. The legs are the point where you miss the proportion the most... I mean, I think the legs are the only thing you don't draw well. You know the right proportion of the hand's height ( the middle of the thighs ), but you MUST remember that thighs are veeeeeeery long if you properly notice. Look yourself on a mirror, and see how long your own thighs are. Remember, as well, that the length of all the way from the knee to the soles is equal to the thigh's lenght.
Oh, another thing. To make your characters look young, make their legs correspond to at least 40% of their height.
Your hair-drawing style is almost like mine.

My friend asked me to redesign one of her characters. Her only condition was that I keep the hair antennae from the last design she had (which I also made :V). I actually pretty like the results overall, though I think some more accessories would be nice.
