Reisen: Bun Eyra Bit (Buney Rabit, Bunny Rabbit)
Ran: Kite Sune (Kitesune, Kitsune)
Sakuya Izayoi = Jane Ripper
(Okay, that one was too easy.)
I like those two. Very clever. :3
But honestly, a lot of the names could stay how they are. Look at FF6, Terra/Tina anyone?Tina sounds foreign/unusual to Japanese people, but not to Americans. That's why they changed it.
Shikieiki = Siriso (Spell it backwards)

Well, 4kids
Suwako = Slippy
She drowned the children and then, after being rejected anyway, killed herself. She is doomed to wander, vainly searching for her children for all eternity

It had to be done...
And Hatate can be Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta
But it's America. What? Please fill me in .
It's probably 4kids.
THEY THINK THAT ARBOK EVOLVES INTO SEVIPER.
Apparently, they think pokemon works like Digimon.
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they called Nitori "Elly" or "Rika".
Gensokyo could also be renamed Illusia or Illusionasia. :3
Youkai would be called "bad guys", and they would strive for bullying good people
(Oh my, 4-kids ideas coming to my mind..)

Youkai would be called "bad guys", and they would strive for bullying good peopleIf the dubbed version of Inuyasha taught us anything, then it's that "Youkai" translates into "Demon". That's basically what Youkai means in the first place.

You all should read this thread (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=521.0). Don't post in it, for gods sake, but read it.
It is going to be worth it. >:D
Okay, okay, why would Yuka be named after a Milk fairy?
Also, doesn't Mugenkan(Yuka's home) translate to Garden of the Sun or sumthin like that?
I think you're mistaking 夢幻館(Mugenkan) and 太陽の畑(Taiyou no hatake). Mugenkan is mansion of illusionary dreams.
Taiyou no hatake is field/garden of sun.
Not that one >.> Yuka is a Flower loving Youkai with power over Flowers so Sunny would make sense. Also, doesn't Mugenkan(Yuka's home) translate to Garden of the Sun or sumthin like that?
Didn't 4kids go bankrupt and out of business?
Gensokyo - Phantasia, perhaps.Do you mean Rikako?
Reimu could probally stay, since she is a miko after all.
Marisa is already English(ish).
Kikako - Remember her? Anyway, Vidya. It's actually Indian, but it could be used as a pun since it looks like video.
Sakuya - Paige; it means servant in English :V
Chen - Sienna. Means (basically) the same thing.
Ran - Indigo. Yeah, that's actually a name. :X
Yukari - Viola or Violet. Don't think I need to explain this one.
Mystia - Sparrow. Yep. :X
Aya - Evangeline. Means good news, even if she doesn't always bring it.
Momiji - Guadalupe. Yeah, it's Spanish, but it means "River of the Wolf". Plus the tengus' music always makes me think of Spanish songs for some reason (i'm weird)
aaaaand that's all i can think of for now
Kotohime - Rachel
Kotohime - Anise (yes I'm using Tales of the Abyss names <_<)
Rumia ---> Lumia
Kotohime is suffering under the Department of Redundancy Department there, Prism.TVTropian to English translation: You mentioned Kotohime twice, with two different names.
I always thought Rumia was supposed to be Lumia, but by taking that in katakana and transliterating it into romaji, ZUN had a moment of epic fail.
Wouldn't be the first or the last time that happened...
Chen - Myau (props to whoever knows the game reference!)
Mieu, right?
Close but not quite. Although that's also a good name for Chen. :3
Youmu OR Yukari - Anna(Dancing Blade Chaos anyone?)In my head, Anna was always a transplanted Youmu x Reimu baby~
