Title: Desktop Dungeons - Be weary of the gods!

It's Desktop Dungeons! (http://www.qcfdesign.com/?cat=20)

This highly addictive (and rage inducing... but you'll see that for yourself later) game plays like a miniature roguelike. Most single games take around 10~15 minutes. The basic gist is that you pick your race and class and get thrown into a single level map. You get to run around and collect items and spells, find a god to worship and serve, level up, and hopefully, take down the level's boss. There's tons of unlockables, including special maps and more classes and races.

Really, you will be addicted to this game once you've learned how it works.

Experience the rage fun for yourself.

Oh hell why not? I got 371 free Gigabits and nothing to fill them with.

This only serves to further convince me that Derek Yu is the most radical man in the radical land.

Oh, he only did the tileset, I was confused by his name being on the main menu. (He's still a cool dude.)

This thing is cool and while not nearly as difficult or expansive as Crawl, it has its own charm.

Barely pulled off a success on my first attempt, only surviving the final blow against the boss due to the FIghter's Pit Dog ability (survive your first mortal blow with 1 HP remaining).

I'm scared about how addicting this is going to be.

Last time I played your piety was a hidden stat.

Oh man this game

It is awesome

In the span of 30 minutes I cleared it with Fighter and Thief o/ Working on unlocking all the stuff.

This is distracting me from what I really SHOULD be doing (updating Gauntlet Breaker) >_>

Oh wow.  I really didn't deserve that win in the Snake Pit, but all I care about is unlocking stuff right now, I'll come back for a "real" clear of it later.

If you want to know a glitch you can abuse for fireball-reliant magical classes,
find and worship Mysteria Annur, and learn the summon monster spell.  Defeat all monsters of your level, and attempt to summon a monster.  The spell will fail, causing no monster to be summoned, and no mana to be drained.  However, Mysteria will still grant you piety for having attempted to cast the spell.  Click the summon monster spell repeatedly to max out your piety, buy all of the available upgrades, and prepare to fireball everything in your path (you may want to max out your piety again afterwards, so it doesn't hurt if you start to piss her off).

Sorry about that link... that's what happens when you make these kinds of topics at 3 AM with hardly any sleep.  :V

For those of you that could use some help or just want to read up on how the game actually works, there's a Wiki for that! (http://www.qcfdesign.com/wiki/DesktopDungeons/index.php?title=Main_Page)

Despite my best efforts, I still haven't managed to clear a game since I did it with the Thief. It's said that the 2nd win is the hardest...

Try it with the priest, I did it easily with that one.

I find that Fighter + Taurog do a really good combination. Afterwards, Berserker + Taurog is even better. This is for the Regular dungeon and the Library.

Fighter is piss easy as is Wizard

Halfling Priest is godlike but for some reason I can never win with it lol

It must be my problem though like wasitng pots so I end up dying just before the boss will die =w=
