I had recently gotten Touhou Concealed the Conclusion, and when I tried running it, a box for the game shows up for a split second then dissappears. No error messages show up either. Any ideas on the source of the problem or what I can do to fix it?

Are you running Danmakufu in Japanese? Danmakufu won't work unless you run it in Japanese.

Ummm... How do I do that?

You can use Microsoft AppLocale to run programs as if you were in a different language environment (Japanese, in this case). Just run AppLocale, and it'll ask you to select a program to run using it (Danmakufu, in this case), and a language. In case your knowledge of kanji is limited, Japanese will be listed in the dropdown menu as 日本語 (assuming you actually have East Asian language support installed at all).
After you set a program up once, you can tell AppLocale to create a shortcut which will allow you to run the program again with those language settings automatically.
Here's the download link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8c4e8e0d-45d1-4d9b-b7c0-8430c1ac89ab&displaylang=en (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8c4e8e0d-45d1-4d9b-b7c0-8430c1ac89ab&displaylang=en)

Well... any other things on the Applocale list thingie that would show up as 3 boxes? :V
Thanks for the help, I'll try that.

Three boxes? Well, if 日本語 shows up on your end as three boxes, I think it's safe to say the font support isn't installed ^^;
However, it's the option at the very bottom of the list of the version I have, which I think is the same.
