I decided to start a lets play of Fire Embelm 8 to pass my free time i'll be playing Normal mode without any huge Tower/Ruins/Arena abuse (Might Abuse to get Supports unlocked quicker but thats it.). Because I don't have time for that stuff or hard but i'll do one run of each once they are fully unlocked. I'll leave several aspects up to the readers like which character's i'll use, promotions, Main Lord and Supports. This lets play won't explain much because I suspect most will also be following Fightests LP of FE7.
Now please start Arguing pointlessly about who i'll use and what supports while I type up Part one. :V

We must reach Frelia to ensure the day of your happy reunion.

Alright this is a typical first mission with a low ammount of units. It shouldn't be difficult at all but lets look at what the Stats of Erika and Seth. We'll start with Erika

As you can see Erika is a Lord and her stats seem to focus on Speed and Skill but very low strength this can make her a frustrating lord to use if she misses strength to much but at least she dodges alot. It's dissapointing all she has is a Rapier though.

Seth is this games Jeigan like Marcus in FE7 although unlike Marcus Seth has much better growth. His growths are high enough to the point where he can apparently tie with most unpromoted Cavaliers after they promote. I've not really used him to often on previous playthroughs though. One thing some readers may have noticed is that Paladins cannot weild Axes in this which while dissapointing is acceptable. I shouldn't be using him much early on so I should give Erika that Steel Sword.

You play with all females and no Tower, you play with less-than-base-level Amelia and underleveled Marisa.
Then again there's still Myrrh, so the last two Chapters would be taken care of.

Ross is useable without tower abuse, Amelia is possible (Although very difficult), Ewan has almost chance at all. The one run I do through the Tower won't be enough.
FE8 All Females is actually remotely difficult, but I don't know if that's the intention of this run.
It isn't if it was I would playing on difficult. I don't want to be stuck with Erika, Vanessa and Neimi for the first few chapters and after that my prospect's don't get any better.
So far it seems Seth and the Lords are confirmed for useage. And were taking Erika's Route which i'm very familliar with due to me taking it on most playthrough's. As for Neimi vs. Innes neither one is too bad but I didn't use them to much seeing as I only used Innes on Hard mode and Neimi for my very first playthrough.

Gilliam: I've stronger armor then you do. I'll take the lead. Watch my back.
Now we get Gilliam the Knight and Franz the Cavalier both of them are good unit's that i've used on multiple playthroughs.
Gilliam is a typical Knight but he isn't ridiculously overpowered like some upon joining and he can get slightly injured by enemies.

TBH every one of my runs had Amelia ending up as a General. A general that can double most enemies that is.

Peg. Knights actually tend to have decent Avoid in the GBA games, even while getting weighed down.

Y'know, I was playing this last night, and I thought that for a laugh, I'd have Eirika attack Breguet, because she had the Rapier.
And I distinctly recall that one guy saying that both Rapiers and Armorslayers can take down Heavily-Armored foes.
And as luck would have it, she one-shots him with a crit.
Levels off of it too.
I'd say that I was damn lucky, but maybe she had the advantage due to the rapier?

But due to experience with games like this, I do fairly well.
Eirika (assuming one point above base stats) will die in two hits to Breguet (attacking him on the player phase + him attacking you on the enemy phase) with Breguet attacking at ~76% accuracy. Eirika will kill Breguet in two hits at about the same accuracy, plus she doubles, plus she has a 12% chance of critting with either hit.
It's a roll of the dice but the odds favor Eirika.
I don't have the stats available offhand but Hard Mode Breguet probably won't die in two Rapier hits, so Eirika is probably toast unless she crits.

Now that I think about it, she had scored a level earlier on in the map, nothing much to write home about on the growth aspect though.
I could've save state abused to get a good stat growth if I felt like it, but I'm a lazy *bleep*.
...I may start over again to get good growths though, just so I can get through easier, and have better stats when I give my units a PRRRRRRRROMOTION (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c65V4hg5WMk&feature=related).
Also, she only needed to hit once, as her first hit was a crit.

Mine had like, 90 dodge, and maxed str, spd, and luck. He never died, ever.
Although an assassin is fine too. Those 50% chance of instant kill on critical hit is great fun to play with.

But she seems to lack a bit of power for me, so Franz support and access to the whole weapon triangle ftw.
Yeah, General is my favorite choice, but she ends up capping her speed really quick though. Not sure about Franz support though.

Amelia boosts Franz's somewhat lacking evasion and defense. And both parties get a 15% critical rate, which is delicious.
Either way, Amelia will double EVERYTHING. Except those demon dog things, but they usually do zero damage to Amelia anyways.

Sadly though, Innes had fallen to a lucky hit shortly after recruiting Colm, so I hit reset.
Haven't touched it since.

Ewan is second-from-last.
At least he uses magic, meaning he can hit enemies indirectly without Javelin accuracy - making him remotely trainable without the Tower.
