The most interesting 5 minutes of the day passed reaaal fast for me. I snickered at some of the artwork too, and the music is awesome as always.

Oh thats interesting... its like a touhou radio station with flashes lol.

I like the counting and elegant yuyuko one.

This'll be going back on in the background when I get to university today to work.

Beautiful time-waster, and I love the music. It's really relaxing, and the ticking isn't the least bit irritating.

I hope it is still possible to send in stuff for this (or a version 1.1.1 ^^")

EDIT: Just noticed that the time is based on the computer clock.
It?s kinda confusing when you see the time without ":"s

It's pretty hard for me to decide which one I like, though I think it's pretty impressive how most of those songs were built around the clock ticking. If you notice, there's a few songs that change it up or doesn't have the ticking, but most of em do.

yeah most of the stuff happen exactly on seconds. I really like the Idea.

Are you just supposed to let this thing run? I hear no ticking and music plays for a little bit and a little clip of animation repeats itself, or is that supposed to happen?

Post by: Nat Tea on May 24, 2010, 07:42:39 AM
Due to the Twitter updates making the clock desynced, I have a good solution for that.

Add "thclock.swf" to the end of http://boxell.jp/clock/ . Don't hotlink it or I will kick your butt.

Oh god, this thing is too cool. For some reason i'm reminded of the little mini-commercials they had in Pop'n Music 7.

It's based off a promotional thing for some obscure asian band that was popular a while back, it had a clock ticking with that color block swoshing up/left/right/down and then a random scene of some kind.
As the album got closer to being released some weird stuff started sneaking into the scenes, iirc

I think there are many different version of this "clock". The news log links to one called "Japan / France" or something like that.

I had the same problem, I reloaded it a few times and it seemed to work after that.

I hope the flash would load different animations and song every time it starts up/gets loaded... I mean seriously, some of the stuff gets annoying when it comes over and over.

If Google Translate it reading things right, then I get the impression they are still accepting music and animations. I hope they get more stuff myself. :D

I certainly don't mind if they add in more material. Or remove the Sinbag animations. Ugh. I just want to set that shit on fire.

According to this video (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm10661325), TOHO clock will be released as 5 MP4s/SWFs of the animations and 1 WAV of the music at 5/30. I do not know further details without translation.

This is really neat, although for having so many songs and videos supposedly, I seem to keep getting certain ones over and over again. There's supposed to be a Hatate video but I haven't even seen it once.

The one you're viewing is the fifth rendition which, I think, will come with the other four swfs when it's released.

The video I linked to does contain the release date info and details, so yeah!

Herm... The thing stopped working for me. Now all there is is the counting number. No clips, no sound/music... There's not even that cool color-change animation whenever the number moves up.

I'm really curious if anything special will happen if you have it open when it counts down to zero. :3

I doubt it would explode into confetti right at that moment, but if you refresh it after it hits zero, it'll probably have the TOHO Clock animations and music ready for download. I think.

Touhou 13 will be released.

That, or ZUN's secret "e-beer" technology will be revealed, and a firehose-strength blast of lager will come booshing out of your monitor. I recommend having a bucket handy, or putting some plastic down now.

While you wait for the community to upload the files (it's not 5/30 yet), you may view previous animations in these videos.

TOHO Clock Part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OV9fTk4q6IU) 第1回更新時公開(4/13~ 4/24)
Note: Spinning Patchouli, running Suwako, Chireiden counting, NEET Kaguya, bouncing Kogasa, and Youmu slashthrough are all part of the Test.ver公開(3/27~4/12). They were still in during 第1回更新時公開 but were placed in storage afterwards.

TOHO Clock Part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra0MVzZY4Uk) 第2回更新時公開(4/25~ 5/5)

TOHO Clock Part 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPo1o0ghtYI) 第3回更新時公開(5/6~ 5/20)

TOHO Clock Part 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzZ_Rm7_mbU) 第4回更新時公開(5/21~ ※現在サンプルで視聴できるのはこちらの作品のみです。
Note: This is the version that I linked to in the opening post.

Well, now it works again! I just have to wait about a minute before it actually starts doing what it's supposed to do.
I got this thing with Patchy reading a book a number of times in a row.

I liked the one where the Marisa and Reimu hand puppets beat the Sanae puppet, and one with Letty, who gets cooler and cooler (ha!) as the difficulty increases.

Also, is there any archive of the animations and music, or is it possible? There's so much content.

Sorry for the double post, but has anyone noticed that TOHO Clock now has "regions?"

There appears to be different color, animation, and music themes based on what "region" you're in, including, from what I've seen: Eientei, the Moriya Shrine, Mugenkan, and Youkai Mountain.

... Or is this known? That would be bad, considering that this is already an older thread.

Is it just me, or has the clock stopped showing animations...
Title: Re: TOHO Clock
Post by: KrackoCloud on June 23, 2010, 04:12:46 AM
Do you have the same symptoms as I do? - That is, No music, the color doesn't switch between white and another color, and all that happens is the number changes.
If so, then all you need to do is let is sit for a while, and it'll eventually start working. Sadly, you have to wait every time you open it up, and the waiting process can take quite some time.

Before I'd only have to wait like a few seconds before it started playing music but now I wait for 10 minutes and still nothing happens :/ Nevermind :3
