I didn't see anything like this around... Basically, post when you've done something in a video game that you're happy about. I'll start.
YES! YEEEESSSSSSS!!! Chapter 6 of Sacred Stones on Hard mode completed first try, no casualties! I've always hated this map... But just getting through it so quickly like that... YES!
-
I finally poached that goddamn Adamantite so I can make a Bubble Belt. Took way too long :V
-
I somehow managed to get Lance to his last pokemon on HearGold, and that's good enough for today :V

Nice. Stupid cavaliers in the fog.

Pansy. I solo'd the entire game with Feraligatr, including the E4 rematches and Red. Then again, I'm not sure if that's much of an accomplishment seeing how easy the original games get when you use just your starter for the main battles (with HM slaves as meatshields, of course). Better than nothing, I guess. :3

I know a good triumph of mine. Two, actually.
One: Beating the original Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! Mike Tyson was...ungodly difficult. And I was...what, 10, maybe? Viciously, horribly difficult...but I did it.
Two: Beating Battlefield 13 of Yggdra Union. And I mean "beating" as in I actually managed to fight my through instead of just escape. HOLY HELL that took a lot of tries.
To clarify: Battlefield 13 of Yggdra Union takes place in the mountains. At first there are some chump bandits coming after you that you pound into the ground, no problems here. Then the fog rolls in. Your army takes advantage of this to sneak past the two Imperial platoons that were waiting to ambush you in the mountains. Two VERY VERY POWERFUL Imperial Platoons, one led by Baldus, the other Aegina. Baldus is a unique Guardian Knight and a hell of a tough customer, but he's doable. Aegina, on the other hand, is a Valkyrie; not THAT tough, except for two circumstances in play.
One: All enemy units on this map have the HIGH status, which does two things: it starts enemies in Rage mode, which makes them do more damage and halves the amount of time they need to use a skill, and it means that they recover up to full Morale (like health) at the beginning of each turn. In other words: to win, you have to beat them when they attack you on their turn (in which case they have a significant advantage) and on your next turn, one after the other. If they're not dead at the end of your turn, BAM! Full health.
Two: Aegina is a Valkyrie, as I mentioned before. That means that the skill she uses in battle is Revolution, which can only be used when she's the last one standing on her side of the field but instantly kills off all enemies except the leader, making it a 1-on-1 match. This would be bad enough by itself (the computer has a disgustingly high success rate in 1-on-1 battles, even when at a weapon disadvantage and with less attack), except for the second circumstance: Aegina has a rapier named Zolfy equipped. Zolfy's effect is that the wielder automatically wins a 1-on-1 fight. And, with the HIGH status, Aegina will almost invariably be able to launch Revolution before you can kill her - and the moment the skill goes off, you've lost.
Also keep in mind that they both have fittingly high stats for bosses anyway, and their goons with them are also tougher than anyone you've fought up until this point in the game. It takes absolute precision with the placement and equipment of units and the usage of skills, and a whole lot of luck on top of it...but I've done it.

Well, I think you could get rid of the Zolfy with a well-placed Steal from Milanor. But either way, congratulations on KILLING EVERYTHING on the BF. I always escaped it. Btw, do you play the GBA version or the PSP version?

Milanor has to kill Baldus. No one else can reasonably scratch him, much less come remotely close to dealing the FIVE THOUSAND Morale damage needed to kill the bastard.
And this was on the GBA, though I've played some of the PSP version. Suspend would've saved hours.

Just went 3/4/26 as Alistar in League of Legends.
Never have I been so happy being a tank in solo queue.

I got past that accursed Desert Temple in 3D Dot Game Heroes...And now I have to start a new game because I missed a bunch of stuff up to this point. :V GO GAMEFAQS!
Maybe we should we make the FFFFFFFFFFFF and Triumph threads into one thread, called the "Hall of Win and Fail." Or something like that. I think it would be a bit easier, but that's just me.

Take that unusually difficult early game Fire Emblem map!
So, chapter 13 (but only chapter 3 of Hector's story). I need to recruit Guy with Matthew, get both out alive, and clear away a large amount of enemies as normal. Now, I had an idea, which was to get Matthew close to Guy, recruit Guy, then take Matthew away with Marcus and deal with the enemies from there. To get rid of some stragglers near the boss, I split the team in two and sent Oswin, Eliwood, Bartre, and Rebecca to the upper path.
This all seemed to be going fine, until Guy started going after the top team. This left me up a creek without a paddle, as now I had to go into a purely defensive game with the upper team, blocking the enemies with Oswin and taking away his weapons so he won't counterattack Guy, with Rebecca and Bartre taking potshots from behind. On the other side, the enemies all ganged up on everyone else at once, with me being outnumbered. Through lucky RNG and using everyone to their fullest, I dealt with all those enemies, and got an idea. I took Guy with Marcus, made my way to the top, killed the final enemy that went towards the top team, and recruited Guy. \o/
Finally, the boss. Since Eliwood is still only at level 2, I wanted him to kill the boss. This was not easy, as Eliwood could only do 2 damage and the boss would leave him at 1 HP with only one attack. Cue softening him up with Hector and Marcus, and I decided to at least try with Eliwood. He only has something like a 65% chance of hitting and the boss still had 6 HP. He attacks Eliwood and leaves him with 1 HP, and...
Eliwood criticals?! Huzzah! Cue a great level up, map complete with everything done right.
Ah...this is what Fire Emblem's all about!

wait wait wait
you're using Marcus
???
(I'm currently playing through Hector Hard mode. I'd forgotten how BRUTAL it could be.)

All units are compulsory until False Friends.

Plus, good luck killing Kishuna without Marcus in 19x. >.>

Yes, but he's using him. I mean, getting experience and stuff, by the sound of it.
I assume you're playing Hector Normal? Killing Kishuna is a breeze, notably because his goons don't move, so you can melee the snipers for oodles of experience, and the Knights ain't bad either. Only on HHM does Kishuna actually leave on his own.
-
I used to be able to speedrun Metroid Zero Mission and beat it in 35 minutes. I can also max out the score counter in Endless mode of Panel de Pon (Tetris Attack) in about 15 minutes, probably because I can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't playing some variation of that game. As for a non-time-based achievement, I beat Mega Man 10 without taking damage (using saves though, not single-segment).

I'm not sure which paragraph you're reading... I see him rescuing people and softening up Boies so his Eliwuss could level up.

There's nothing breezy about killing someone who has THAT MUCH Avoid. Although you don't need Marcus to do it.

I got the last Star on Super Mario Galaxy 2 last night.
Now I need to do it again and better because I took so long that the game couldn't record my clear time :V
-
Yeah, I'm no newb to Fire Emblem. I use Marcus just for softening and rescuing, as well as a bit of killing dangerous enemies.
I also recall Kishuna running away after you attack him. That's why I use Marcus. >.>

One of my crowning achievements, reproduced in video form just for the masses. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOxALHJpX8w) I originally pulled this off some time mid 2007, but I did it again last year for video recording purposes.

Haha oh WOW. Playing Seiken Densetsu 3, with a party of Carlie/Kevin/Angela. All are heading toward Light/Light class, currently on just Light.
Anyway, fighting Dangaard, with Kevin in Wolf form, having used Pressure point. I have Carlie use Diamond Saber on him so that he does increased damage against the boss, since it's weak against earth. I happen to be six levels before the enemies in this dungeon, don't know if Dangaard himself is higher. Anyway, with this combination, Kevin is doing more than 300 damage per normal hit, and more than FIVE HUNDRED damage per hit of his level 1 tech. Note that this tech gets two hits. This means that at SIX LEVELS BELOW THE ENEMY, Kevin is doing more than a thousand points of damage with a single tech. In a game where the max damage any attack can do is 999. Now THAT is awesome.

I lead the Moriyan Shrine to victory...

Congrats!
How did you get those Playstation icons in your profile, and how can I put them in mine?

Finally finished Anju and Kafei's quest in Majora's Mask. Seriously, what were they thinking when they made this.

It took a few tries, but I finally broke a two-minute clear time in Purple Coin Flip 'n' Sprint (SMG2, Flip-Swap Galaxy) with 1'54''. I screwed up the last part a little, but I finished well ahead of my expectations.
The big time-eater (and the hardest part of the run anyway) is the second part with the electric gates. If you go absolutely as fast as you can on the first part you can just barely make it by them without having to wait, and the rest falls into place from there.
-

Oh, derp. :P My bad.
As for SMG2, yeah, those purple coin missions can be brutal, but it's the time trial ones that are a real doozy. Specifically, the ones with those Crash Bandicoot-style stopwatches...I FREAKING HATE THOSE. I'm not looking forward to doing the Bowser castle speedruns.
-
Beat Prototype on Hard without any deaths...
Course I learned right after doing it I already did the achievement for no deaths, so I kinda raged thar, buuuuut to make up for it I got another achievement that required a whole playthrough to be done that was just as hard as not getting any deaths, so I still finished! Finally.

Truthfully, those were my favorite Stars. (I like speedruns and Hurry! was one of my favorite bits on the soundtrack.) I hated the Romp stars much more.
The timed Stars are hard at first - I'm not telling how many lives I lost - but as you keep trying them you'll get comfortable with the level and eventually find quicker ways to go through them. That and the timed version of the first Star is probably the second-hardest of the bunch (the hardest being Bowser's Big Bad Speed Run).
