Pay what you want for $80 worth of indie games. Decide whether it goes to the developers, charity, or both.

Some videos:
Penumbra Overture:

In my opinion, one of the best horror games to come around recently.
Frictional Games is throwing in some of their own deals to add to this bundle. If you buy this bundle you'll also be able to purchase Penumbra: Black Plague and Penumbra: Requiem at 75% off. Also, pre-orders for their upcoming game Amnesia: The Dark Descent are going to be 50% off.
World of Goo:

A puzzle game with some interesting gameplay, art style, and atmosphere.
Aquaria:

A nice side-scrolling action adventure.
Gish:

Haven't played this one, but it appears to be a platformer where you play as some kind of blob.
Lugaru:

Haven't played this one either, but apparently your a bunny that beats the crap out of other bunnies. Sounds fun.

Aquaria was hot shit a couple years ago. I may throw some money their way to play it.
-
Fufufu, time to add more games to my ever-growing indie collection. :derp:
-
Just got it for $20 and used the coupon code for the Penumbra Collection as well.
Awesome. 8)
-
I got the bundle just for Penumbra, always wanted to try that game out.

Replace that with Aquaria for me. I played the demo, and it was freaking sweet. World of Goo isn't bad either. I suck at Gish, tho. I'm going to buy this pack soon.
-
Penumbra crashed on me for some reason. Right when I got to the scary part too.
The only game in the pack I don't really care for would be Lugaru.
Oh yeah, Aquaria is pretty damn awesome.
-
I don't know any of the other games, but World of Goo is worth it alone.
-
Aquaria and Penumbra are more than worth it in my opinion. I already have the Penumbra series, but having another copy that doesn't need the disks is nice.
I hope you guys have been paying a decent amount for it and not just a penny. ::)

That's a nice idea but I already have the games I care for in this bundle(Gish, Goo and Aquaria). If this happens again with different games I don't have I'll support it.
-
Oh hey they added another game into the bundle
-
Yup, Samorost 2 has been added to the bundle.

Oh say, I read about this on the Wesnoth forums and think it's a very cool project, although I question if this little proof of concept will be as valid as it purports. Even though it shows people are willing to pay more than they must, it's not industry standard pricing, much of it is charity and the fact that it's a time sensitive offer spikes the sales volume.
Also, I find it quite sickeningly humorous that people still pirate the bundle, since most of the traditional conjecture as to why people bootleg does not apply here. (http://blog.wolfire.com/2010/05/Saving-a-penny----pirating-the-Humble-Indie-Bundle) It rises to question what other reasons people might have to pirate software. There are quite a few enlightening answers given, although I'm personally of the opinion that there doesn't necessarily need to be a reason, since people will do whatever they want. I can definitely sympathize with "no way to pay" though since Touhou has such a barrier imposed upon it as well, although that still doesn't make it right.
By the way, they reached 1 mil. today and as a result of reaching this milestone, several of the games have been open sourced and the offer has been extended by a few more days. I just thought you guys might like to know.

Thanks for the update.
To be fair, a 25% piracy rate isn't anywhere near as bad what you can usually expect if the games were being sold for the regular price. In this case I think it's not too much of a stretch to say a good portion of those might be due to people who really can't pay for whatever reason.

I nabbed a bundle for myself yesterday (with three hours to spare, before the open-source thing) for $30. I can't wait to play all these cool games~ Thanks for telling us about this, Prof!
