Title: [Music] Coin Spire's Music Corner (Chinese Teahouse Piano Arrange Update)
Post by: Coin Spire on May 02, 2010, 02:16:36 AM
I've been playing around with Midi sequencing. It's not perfect, but I hope somebody likes it.

Strange Reasons.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/r150hdh0gny/strange.mp3)
Tried to make it sound like a stage theme, but kinda got messy.

EDIT! EDIT! EDIT!
Shanghai Teahouse (http://www.mediafire.com/file/mzzzmtm2mmy/china tea.mp3)
It's a piano arrange of an old favorite. I hope someone likes it.

I was bored so I decided to make a recreate in Midi a certain Theme from a well-known classic Touhou game (not really)--Touhou Rei iden.

It's too close to the original to stand out, but I was just practicing the tweaks of MIDI controllers, and my head is starting to spin.

Positive and Negative.mid (http://www.mediafire.com/?nmgwwjmdwmg) =  The midi file. I used the standard Microsoft Midi Table.
Positive and Negative.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ij1tmcjjggt/positive and negative.mp3) = Recorded Mp3. Sounds muffled because my hardware sucks.

Practice makes perfect I guess. I'm far from it.

Playing around with soundfonts:
Hourai Illusion~Far East mid (http://www.mediafire.com/file/unni3zzznid/fehourai.mid)
Hourai Illusion~Far East wma (http://www.mediafire.com/file/jygavjtukwn/fehourai.wma)

From ZUN's Strange Works. It's the 6th track.
Yay. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5O9Qr9OKDU)

The Midi was taken from ZUN's site (http://www16.big.or.jp/~zun/html/music_old.html) (thus, I'm officially stealing bandwidth?). I just changed the instruments a bit because I hate the contrabass sound, or whatever it is.

I don't think many knows about this composition, so I guess I should promote it, no?
I used wma, because midi to mp3 is too lossy in my converter. : /

It's Positive and Negative again!

I played around with panning and soundfonts...then this happens:

Positive and Negative.mp3 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/czygdmywrom/pnn.mp3)

If it sounds awkward, it's because it does. :/
Well, so much for my musical talent... :ohdear:

It's the same midi from an earlier post above, but with different soundfonts. Maybe I should've edited out the last part, but then again, nobody actually listens to my stuff. Hah! XD

Cookies to the one who can guess the soundfont. It should be blatantly obvious... :3
