Copy pasted from the forum used Yesterday :V
Recently I decided to pick up Blazblue Poratable for PSP and I must say that it's pretty fun. The characters and story are amusing but not really great besides the characters remind me to much of Guilty Gear which I need to go and play. The controls are pretty nice in my opinon due to it only using 4 major buttons so it doesn't feel weird to play the main reason i've not touched Guilty Gear at all for PSP.

I went to an arcade a few days ago and I go to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Hilariously fun game, even though I had no idea what I was doing the entire time.
-
Only played Tekken 4(and 2cc'd it on the second hardest difficulty). I suck at fighting games, period :V
I'm completely incapable of memorizing AND executing button inputs and I'd rather get rabies than learn how to counter every single character.
-
I used to play Super Smash Brother's Brawl competitively at my university.
Yes. Competitively.
Its not a f*cking party game. Its serious business. :V
-
Everyone here needs to get GGPO. Right now. >:<
Online Garou? KoF '98 and '02? 3S?!
Also it has Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Metal Slug X, SF Alpha 1-3, etc. etc.

And the worst of all bottom tier characters is Yoshi!
Yoshi is TRASH!

There is a reason for that. Arc System Works developed BlazBlue and Guilty Gear.
I'm waiting for Fedex to deliver my stick since their site says it is out for delivery :ohdear:

Hell yeah I love mah fitegaem...I need to get a new console/computer though :V
Too bad none of my friends 'like to play/know how to play' fighting games.
I have to sandbag like hell.
I mean seriously, what's so hard about a 623 input...

The 360's d-pad.
-
The 360's d-pad.
Yah got meh.
But they can't even do it on a psp/ps2 d-pad :(
I show it to them...two seconds later I smell button mashing.

You misspelled melee. :V
-
Hey, when I first learned DP's I thought they were really complicated!
Of course, I was like 7 at the time, but still!
And Melee really is srs bsns. >:<
-
He's played street fighter for a bit, not new at all to fighting games.
He mashes to get specials out :(
Also SSB as competitive I can never see myself thinking of it as.

That's almost worse :V For the record, I despite the PlayStation d-pad as well. Actually, the Dual-Shock itself is an abomination for a myriad of other reasons, but I digress.
TE-S arrived about half an hour ago.
-
I want a stick badly...
But I need a new console before I even think of getting one.
But what kind of stick would be good :O I know next to none about most sticks.
-
What is a TE-S? The only TE I know of is the SFIV TE stick. :S
Edit: Yado, which system(s)? You can get people to build sticks that are compatible with multiple systems for you, or you can just buy the stock sticks. For PS2 I usually see people use HRAPs(Hori Real Arcade Pro, I have one too!), and for 360's and PS3's I usually see SFIV TE sticks or HRAP3's. If you play on PC, you can get a PS2 stick and a PS2-USB adapter, or just use a 360/PS3 stick out of the box.
Edit 2: :<

That made me laugh

I have no clue what most of the Number commands acronyms are. I know them as QCF, HCB and Ect.
WHY DOES TAGER HAVE TO USE FULL CIRCLE BACK IN BLAZBLUE?!!?

Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition, a.k.a. the TE-S (or TE S if you prefer).
-
just look at the numpad, 5 is neutral to where the stick is
Lol Tager go look at Bang's astral :(
Also how much do sticks generally cost?
-
Button execution in Melee is mind-boggling
when you compare it with a simple game like SFIV.
Thats why I prefer Brawl. :V
-

I'm to lazy to buy the Astral Finish for him. I haven't actually used Bang at all yet.
-
Oh, that's what a TE-S is? im so dum :<
Also how much do sticks generally cost?
Depends, but high quality ones are usually around...150-200+shipping?
Also, Melee execution, mindboggling? I'm sorry, but Melee execution doesn't really compare to something like GG FRC combos or 1 frame links, IMO. Unless you're playing Fox and you ABSOLUTELY MUST WAVESHINE EVERYTHING, or playing Samus and you really like the super wavedash, execution in Melee is L cancels and wavedashing, which really isn't very difficult. Spacing and edgeguarding are much more important. :S

Sana you lost me. All I know about that is press B to Falcon Punch after Jiggypuff uses sing on the guy me and a friend are teamed up against. (I'm joking but I have limited skill with SSBM)
-
I see that much eh...
Also lol comparing SSB execution with GG?
...I would love to see what *GG character* would do in SSB if they kept their moveset and executions.

Nah. $150 is MSRP for the (S)SFIV Tournament Editions, but you can get them cheaper. Amazon is carrying the older sticks for about $130 right now, but there's still a cheaper option.
I guess I'll go ahead and give you guys a heads up if you have the cash on hand: right now at the Gameshark store (MadCatz) there are valid discount codes for their products. There's one for the new Super Street Fighter IV stuff (20% off), and another for the other gear (30% off). So if you're cheap and want the Round 2 TE stick you can pick it up for $105 + shipping (shipping was $7.50 for me). The new stick is $120 + shipping.
20% code for the Super Street Fighter products: SUPERWCWZ
30% code for everything else: WARZONE
I picked up my stick from a similar deal but for PAX East (PAX = Penny Arcade Expo). If you can't afford it before the deal expires (on the 5th, IIRC it'll actually be at midnight so literally as soon as it's the 5th it will end) they might do another one if there's some other gaming conventions they plan on using for promotional purposes. For all I know they might do one for EVO as well even though SSFIV should be out by then (IIRC).
Another thing you should know about the PS3 version of MadCatz sticks is that they won't work except on PCs with Intel or VIA chipsets. You'll need a USB adapter if you want to use it on a machine with a Nvidia or AMD chipset, like this one (http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-VIA-5U-5-port-Card-Chip/dp/B000JFJZGG).

I have GGPO. But I've given up on it completely because port forwarding is just such a pain in the ass. >:(
Plus, fighting random people online just isn't very motivating. I need to start playing live sometime.
-
I have ggpo, and normally play Garou/98/2002/SFA2/ST/3s/Magical Drop 3, however, I'm from South America and most people would have latency if they played with me :p
Port Forwarding.. hmm.. I may have problems playing the Touhou fighting games online (iirc), but ggpo works fine. Iirc, I didn't even have to forward ports to use ggpo, just make sure that ports 6000 to 6009 are open in your router/firewall.. (normally, the router is accessed by typing 192.168.1.1 in your browser window, but I may be wrong.. however there should be a guide in the manufacturer's website..)

If you're doing that at the router then that is port forwarding.
