Title: Need help on running Hoot multisound emulator.
Post by: MaronaPossessed on March 30, 2010, 04:31:00 AM
You know the Hoot multisound emulator (http://snesmusic.org/hoot/v2/)? I'm having trouble with playing the files. I did as the FAQ said and yet I couldn't get HoRP and SoEW music to play.

Does anyone have Hoot working and have been using it? If so, help?

If you have the zip files containing the .M files, just put them in c:\Program Files\hoot\pc98\.  Hoot will automatically load and categorize them.

I can't seem to get the Touhou rips to play fully; some instruments are missing, etc. Maybe I have an option set up wrong (maybe it's something to do with stereo<>mono).

Which instruments aren't playing?

Also, did you get hoot from here (http://snesmusic.org/hoot/v2/)?  They include the OPNA Rhythm Sound System samples, along with an updated .ini file.
