A good addictive old classic. Now with multiplayer mode and much lulz.

Get the zipped version, choose TetriNet server at molniya.ath.cx IP. Get 5 friends and jam away. A few of us are usually available for some games on the #meido IRC chan. IRC details given privately on request only

Ahh, Tetris, my old favourite game. I used to play a super-old Card Captor Sakura version of it and got addicted, and have been ever since (with thanks to Touhou Battle Gaiden <3).

Here, have tetoris.swf. /tg/ goes batshit every time this is posted.

super-old Card Captor Sakura version of it

Please, tell me more.

Tetris is pretty cool. I like playing TGM, too-- even if it totally destroys me.

Please, tell me more.

It was just a tiny little game I got my hands on when I was like thirteen years old. Here it is, if you like.

I came across this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4caZN5x0uEA&fmt=18) while looking up some stuff about Tetris. It reminded me of a game called Tetripz, which simulated what Tetris might look like if you were high/stoned/munted. The effects were way better than what's shown in the video. You could have the screen spinning upside down, or else duplicated four times, or only being able to see the top half of the table. And then that table shifted and swirled, dividing by zero like it was nobody's business. But it's old, and new computers hate it. Here's a link (http://users.telenet.be/mutefantasies/downloads.html) if you're interested anyway.

On the subject of Tetris, let us not forget the most embarrassingly bad and cheesy Tetris game of all time. :V

It's Kids' Tetris! Because according to "Blue Planet Software" as long as something has colorful/googly graphics kids will like it regardless of quality.

I have to give them credit for somehow getting the AOK to make a section with 2x1 blocks, though.

I never got too into this game, and hence, never became great at it. So when I was able to consistently replicate the "spaceship launching" ending thingie in Tetris for the Gameboy (original gameboy) I decided it was time to never play it again.

It's Kids' Tetris!

I kinda got that part, thanks.

I have to give them credit for somehow getting the AOK to make a section with 2x1 blocks, though.

Which automatically destroys the connection to Tetris, because as far as I know, Tetris either IS the Russian word for "Four" (that's why every block in Tetris is made out of four squares) or at least sounds a lot like it.

Because according to "Blue Planet Software" as long as something has colorful/googly graphics kids will like it regardless of quality.

Well the "Alvin and the Chipmunks"-movies are successful as well despite raping a part of my childhood/the 80s cartoon series (never saw the 60s one).

I have S4 in Texmaster's Normal mode (clone of TGM1). Pretty close to S5, actually.

Ugh, that version of the game really messes with my mind. I can't even clear 10 rows.

~TETRIS!
The few times I've played with some people via organized IRC games were fun.

Other than that I just play on freetetris.org cuz I'm lazy. Farthest I've gotten in one go is to level 12...
