So I recently got UFO, and got the English patch too. I run windowed mode and everything was working perfectly.
An hour or so later, I try to run Windowed again, but I can't see the window for the game. It's running, but the window doesn't appear even if I click on its tab in the task bar. The only way I can play it again is to right click the tab in the task bar & click maximize, which is not the way I want to play touhou.
Are there any solutions to this problem? Many thanks to those who offer said solutions.

In your UFO folder, open config_e.exe. Change the video mode in that, save, and exit. Now windowed mode should work again; this fix worked for me.
And no, you don't need to change it in config_e.exe every time you want to switch between windowed/fullscreen, just this once should be fix it.

As in, it goes back to being invisible, or does it just not change window sizes?

I actually have this issue as well. It has nothing to do with the english patch, evidently, it's just a random thing that happens from time to time (at least for me).
Delete the .cfg file, then run the game as normal. That should fix it.
