GOOD LUCK! (http://ggxx.wingdreams.net/)
-
...What is this even about?...
I mean it clearly has somthing to do with Guilty Gear but i would appreciate if you could elaborate more instead of just "GOOD LUCK!"
-
1. Download GGXX
2. Patch it with net play
3. Fight me
-
I'm in, whenever this finishes downloading :V
-
Never played with GG outside of Mugen, I'm giving this a try
-
Mugen
:V
-
Holy shit I had no idea how fun this game was :V
-
I've never given GGXX a try either. I'll give it a shot too
-
Oops I fail I forgot this was done downloading...
Well I've never played GG outside of a very lackluster DS game but I expect this to be good.
EDIT: My computer runs it full speed...
-
I have it, but I fail at Guilty Gear on a keyboard so no. :V
-
I mostly played Accent Core. I play Chipp but like with IaMP or BlazBlue I suck at comboing. Still, I owned everyone at work. I may give this a try if I like #Reload.

Playing Accent Core Plus on my PSP as I type this. If you can win with Chipp, you can win with anyone. :V

You may want to invest in one of these (http://cdn2.ioffer.com/img/item/114/425/717/5Q29.jpg) then.
By the way, if you like this game, buy it or die.
-
Do you know how to play Potemkin? I'm having trouble pulling off the Heat Extend and Gigantic Blind, when exactly am I suppose to input the move? Also I hate the story paths where Potemkin has to fight Dizzy. I do less damage and she does more, heals every second, and gets half tension just for dashing, it doesn't help that she is constantly spamming projectiles. I set the game to beginner to beat her, I'm gonna need to master the Heat Extend if I'm gonna beat her in less than 30 seconds for the last story path.
-
I've always wanted to try a game from this series. It always looked so bizarre. When I have a decent connection I'll download it and give it a try.
EDIT: Gee this is fun in an excruciating sort of way. The button layout is rather odd and I may end up changing it. Just got finished with May's story mode and I can't figure out how to do any specials or anything so I just end up running around like a maniac hitting buttons. Whee!
Also, Potemkin can go die in a fire. It took me forever to finally beat him for story mode. =(

What, you think I'm made of money? :c
Besides, I'm perfectly happy until the last 200 levels of survival mode holy fuck playing Accent Core Plus on my PSP as I post here. :V
-
Ok so this game is freaking addicting. I'm really enjoying it. Some characters are really bitchy to use effectively though (I'm lookin' at you I-No!). Also, doing some of the commands is a bit hard to pull off on a keyboard. Mainly those half-circle rotations. >_<
My Good Characters (In no particular order...):
Chipp
Ky
Axl

I was referring to those who are only trying out GG because they got it for free. If you like it, go out and buy it. Other wise, GTFO.

And I was referring to the arcade stick.
-
Okay, get a game pad then. Anything's better than playing the AI over and over. >_>
-
Faust is officially my favorite character ever. Seriously. His theme, "The Original", is concentrated amazing.
Also, if I ever find this game I'll definitely buy it. I imagine it would be so much easier to fight with a control stick compared to arrow keys.
Also, you aren't doing it right if you don't refer to I-No as "Mega Bitch I-No".
-

You are if it isn't boss mode I-No. She's pretty subpar at everything except okizeme otherwise.
-
Speaking of which, what the hell are you supposed to do when she spews danmaku everywhere in arcade mode.

Don't touch the stream that follows the path the warning signs go along.
Don't go behind her, either.
-

;__;
-
Seriously, that is such a cheap move, what with the danmaku. I only managed to beat her using Millia's instant-kill move. A cheap trick for a cheap trick.
-
BURNING FINGER is hilarious :V
Also GRAND VIPER

Nothing is greater than May's IK.
-
asdf I can't pull of IKs because my keyboard won't read four keypresses at once
-
I've never even seen May's instant kill. Probably because it's such a bitch to pull off. =(
Also, Megalomania can go die in a fire. Mega Bitch I-No just never ceases to make me rage. I guess it's okay though, "The Midnight Carnival" is just so damn sexy.
-

You can set one of the L or R buttons to all four keys in the in-game config. That's what I did
-
Nothing is greater than May's IK.
Testament and Johnny's IK's are the only things in the game capable of slaying Slayer. :V

Oh okay
-
I still say May's IK is impossible to do. And look here there's a mission that requires it. RAWR.

I finished that mission, I just smashed the arrow keys randomly and got it :V

*coughbridgetcough*
lol Shoot the Moon
Edit: Holy shit
I knew Faust was kinda messed up even before I played but... somehow he has far surpassed my expectations.
Seriously what
-
Welp, after 1 day of having downloaded the game, I managed to do this:
Takes real skill to do this on the first try, yo. :V

My survival runs in order:
Order-Sol: 320
Jam: 420
Faust: 668
Ky: 760
:V
Granted, I played for 2 days in arcade first.
-
So I found out that they released Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus for PSP. Even more reason for me to want a PSP now. @_@
-
AAAAAAAARRRRGGGG How the hell do I beat I-No? I can't avoid the attack that covers the whole screen and I can't block it either. Perfect blocking eats my tension immediately and I can't jump over it...
Also is it just me or is my damage reduced for this fight?
EDIT: FINALLY AFTER 6 CONTINUES. Landed one IK when I had 0% and then spammed 6HS because it always seems to hit her derp derp
-
Boss I-No is a MEGA BITCH.
All I can say for one of Dizzy's story paths: K have fun lol.
-
That huge attack I-No does is called Megalomania. It has three modes:
Sine: Fills the screen with a sine wave. Get to a safespot and carefully move closer as the wave moves. This is a good opportunity to declare your IK if you're doing badly in the round.
Wave: Makes a huge wave that dips down then upward. Get to the far corner ASAP and duck.
Spread: This is a short burst that fills the whole screen. You need to get right up against I-No and double jump over it right as she fires it.
She can also Roman Cancel any of these patterns into any other, forcing you to switch. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISRUPT THIS ATTACK. There is absolutely not a single thing you can do to evade it except in the ways described above. Hitting her, jumping behind it, etc will just make it go insane and hit everywhere and kill you.
-
Also worth noting is that IKs won't work on I-No during Megalomania. You'll just waste your Tension meter.
After knowing how to properly deal with it, Megalomania can serve as a breather for you to gather your wits about you for the actual fighting after the dodging. I don't know how it is in this PC version, but I-No would use Megalomania whenever 25% of her life bar is taken. It's possible to cheat a bit by making her life bar jump from just over 75% to just under 50% with a high-powered attack, but it isn't worth risking a lost round over. This also means that getting to each Megalomania is harder as the fight goes on and I-No's defense increases with life loss. It's much easier to get her from 100% to 75% than from 25% to 0%, which is why the 25% Megalomania is a great time for a breather.
-
As a side note, I think it might be impossible for Potemkin to avoid the sine pattern since he's so huge. The wave pattern isn't easy to get away from either, since he lacks any way to move backward quickly.
-
I just IK immediately after she finished the Megalomania with Potemkin. She dashed towards me both times I did it.
-
You kids still struggling with I-No? wusses. The lot of ya.

Ahahahaha her super does like 20% on BLOCK, what the hell
-
We actually have that game back home (my sister asked my mom to buy for her on Christmas a few years ago). I will attest to the fact that the IK system is incredibly broken and that boss fight is pretty hard to win without abusing it yourself.
-

Not to mention what a godly SPECIAL move Imperial Ray is. Christ, she wasn't so much an SNK boss as she was a shmup boss.

Or, you could pick Chipp and try doing this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uglHrlKeMqY&fmt=18) for major bragging rights.

Oh how Chipp combo vids have changed. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIoKA7zzFos&fmt=18)
-
Just as planned.
Also, my copy of the first Guilty Gear finally shipped yesterday. this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8QyeiybTmE#t=3m34s) sums up my feelings nicely.
-
Like Jan says I got that game as a Christmas present like 4 years ago.
I had it beat with like half the cast but my memory card disappeared... I don't think I'm going to even try to do that all again... >>;
-
Playing older GG games will just make you worse anyways. But then again, you play Sol & Ky, and they haven't really changed that much. Sol is just Terry Bogard with a toy sword, and Ky almost always deals lolReimu damage. Unless he's up against Testament at which point well... *sigh* (._. )
-
Got to level 930 in survival with A.B.A today before being destroyed by Gold Dizzy. :)
... :(
-
You know you're addicted to Guilty Gear when...
Playing Castlevania: SotN, you encounter the Phantom Skull enemies and leave the area immediately fearing that the next boss is Testament. :V
