You have to put each character folder in the player folder, along with a copy of config.txt. You also need to change the include_script as the beginning to .\config.txt depending on where you put it.
They look awesome, but in practice they're pretty stupid. The player characters are centered around killing anything you fight extraordinarily quickly, bombing absolutely everything, deathbombing without need of input, absorbing all your surrounding bullets and never actually dodging anything.

EDIT: Oh my god hahaha they updated it within the hour, how coincidental. Changed links.
-
AHAHAHAHAHA, oh wow this is nuts. Damn good graphics though I guess.
-
Hahaha holy what
The damage of those bombs is so goddamn high they kill the DPS tester lol
Also I don't really get the point of that counter. :S
-
Is the sakuya one included? Because that one has FUCKWTFAMAZINGEFFECT bomb animation.
EDIT:
If you'll excuse me, I'll be in my room. ( Marisa and Sakuya's bomb ! )
-
Dang ... those graphics ... how could they put them in O_o
Nice script though. Makes me want to try Danmakufu nao :V
-
Lot's of sprites and lot's of effect behaviour I guess. While it looks extremely cool, it is also extremely useless unless your bosses have like the appropiate HP to withstand the major attacks. If you look how fast that dude pounds through boss HP it is just not fun anymore.
Also the bullet removing abilities and all kind of weird specials makes me wonder what the actual goal is behind these characters. I guess it is simply done to show the effects and amazingness, which succeeded. I am parsee mode for a moment.

So this is what Touhou would look like if it were Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu, huh? Looks like they did a pretty good job of imitating its look.
lol Genocide Spark
-
Yeah, it was pretty much made to imitate Daifukkatsu. I mean it's pretty awesome but I'll likely never use them ever lol
-
Gah, I can't get this damn thing to work. I fixed it so all the filenames were in Japanese instead of Unicode gibberish, I put all of the player folders where they should be, and since I don't know exactly what to mess with to redirect it to config.txt, I put a copy in every player folder, and that 穰磧磴糀鬥禮祚粨穽稟鬥 folder that I assumed was some sort of stage script... which it apparently isn't. Using any of these characters causes an immediate crash.
Help?
-
In each player character script (Reimu.txt, etc) there should be
script_player_main{
#include_function".\src\LocalData.dnh"
#include_function".\..\config.txt"Change the last line to
#include_function".\config.txt"
-
Hm. Say if I wanted to have a single config.txt in the lib folder, what would I put then?
Hm. The video is showing all sorts of moves and abilities that I can't seem to use... bleh.
-
Just taken a look at these. They destroy any challenge, but my god, they look awesome

This.
Really, these players look ingenius, but they not only are overpowered, their bombs can slow domn my PC WHICH I JUST BOUGHT LAST YEAR.
-
I assume these players are meant to have their own set of stage scripts made for them, not just be used for all the existing ones. I'm sure having some stages custom-built for them would be awesome.
-
I don't suppose there's a youtube version of that video for us バカ外人that can't be bothered making a nico account?
-
Copy-paste entire title into Google (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPuMSWkqm4w)
-
huh. Now why didn't I think of that? Thanks.
...whoa. That was crazy.

Some of the stages shown in the video came straight from Phantasm Romance... Maybe It'd work there?
-
Jeez. The ending with the character going up against CtC Phantasm Reimu was absurd. The survival card made up half the goddamn fight. And did the player honestly have to dodge once?
So yeah. Very pretty, and very broken. :V
-
FUCK DODGING IT'S NOT LIKE I'M PLAYING A SHMUP OR SOME SHIT
-
Jeez. The ending with the character going up against CtC Phantasm Reimu was absurd.
Uh, it was Phantasm Romance, but yeah. It was fucking ridiciouless.

Was it? Did they just steal the CtC sprites...?

Phantasm Romance indeed uses the CtC sprites.
-
thanks for the link to the youtube video, Drake &...
...wtf is this unbalanced awesomeness that feeds my eyes? I cursed repeatedly through the entire video...they blew like two & a half spellcards away with one bomb like it was one attack. They straight up disrespected those scripts in a laughable way...I'll try them out much later then...never again...
-
Nyagakiya's the guy who made the sprites. He did more than just those in Concealed the Conclusion.
-
all I have to say, for now, is: Once, I've heard this sentence, in a shmup review (that wasn't about the Pachi series): "if you want firepower, go play Dodonpachi instead".
I'm not seeing chain hits on it, though, and Max Bombs bonus is likely not implemented, too. Hypers aren't supposed to eliminate all types of bullets, and they're normally not spammable. I'll look forward for a script that can properly support these characters :D
-
Nothing can support these characters, they're too bullshit. Such a waste of a really cool looking script.
-
By the way the same person made another version of the players(Includes ReimuX, SanaeX, and EikiX) but not as destructive as the DonDonPachi ones(ReimuZ, SanaeZ, SakuyaZ, and MarisaZ).
-
this is a sample of how the original game looks and plays like (except that I'm using the Black Label test version as an example, because it's newer)

edit: forgot to mention this detail too, the "autobomb" feature gives you less invincibility time than the regular bomb, and bombing (automatically or not) breaks the hit chain. Dunno if the reduction in the invulnerability time on autobomb is implemented in these custom characters as well.

Could someone tone them down some? Or is the code too complex?

No code is to complex!!!! for Naut

Could someone tone them down some? Or is the code too complex?
I can do it. But I won't, because as Naut said, these characters, they're too bullshit.
