Not sure why they doubled the very beginning of the song. I always thought of that as the only bad part of the song (which sounds good after the first loop though).

Holy hell, what is up with the quality of those songs? And I don't mean the usual lolyoutube quality--some sound completely off from the spc rips I have. It's a shame, I love the music from this game. Which reminds me, it's been ages since I've actually played this.
ETA: Never mind, I should've listened to the HQ versions. Man, I never realized how crappy LQ videos were.

For Byakuren it's more "Hope Isolation Pray" (this theme rocks)

That's pretty freakishly similar all right lol.
There's also a Myon Myon remix (I forget which one) that totally sounds like something from an Amon Amarth song. I know this is probably intentional, but everyone only notices the "emerald sword" one.

When I heard Patchouli's Theme - Locked Girl ~ The Girl's Secret Room (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdzFCwTr0ps) for the first time playing EOSD, it really reminded me of the Seiken Densetsu series. I don't know why...it sounds like the atmosphere or something of that song in a way...I can't put my finger on it>_<
