I've played a few Mech games a most of them were terrible. I want a good one.
Are there any good chicken walker mech games for PS/PS2 or PC?
And if you say AC I'll hurt you over the internet. :)

Mechwarrior 4 will be getting released for free via battletech.net in the not-too-distant future. I'm certainly gonna grab it.

I like armored core!...mind you it hasn't really been the same since silent line imo. I haven't been to enthused about them after that.
One of the best for it though was master of the arena imo. I liked that one most because it felt like you had the most actually USEFUL variety of equipment to choose from. I notice future ones generally have obvious "best in slot" pieces for light, heavy, medium, etc that make the oodles of choices rather moot.
edit: Sorry forgot to tell you that...Well, no I don't know any sorry >=(
I tried mechwarrior 3 (or was it 2?) I thought it was horrible.

I hear Mektek will be meeting with the Smith and Tinker guys pretty soon to finalize the agreement. If all goes well it might be released before the end of the month.
Till then, feel free to try AT1: BT. It's a fan-made Mechwarrior style game that's still incomplete, but you can download the beta over at Mektek.net.

BattleTanx: Global Assault
It's tanks not mechs, but damn was it fun. Shame 3DO is dead. :(

Steambot Chronicles.
It's a very easy-going sandbox game, with a steampunk-ish setting and cars with legs called Trotmobiles. Personally, I love this game to death, and it's one of my favorite games on the PS2. Of course, I haven't played that many PS2 game, so it might be just me.

Looks like fun. Might be kinda hard to find at Gamestop.
