OH LOOK, IT'S THIS THREAD AGAIN
But hi everyone, I'm relatively new to this forum and Touhou itself (I've been playing 2-3 months at most), so I was wondering if some people could give me a few pointers.
I'm currently trying to 1cc EoSD normal, but I seem to be having the most trouble on stage 5, and beating Sakuya herself.

And yes, I did catch the stupids around in the earlier stages. I seem to have this habit of running into random bullets that would have no chance of hitting me otherwise. HURR DURR

Uploading on Gensokyo would probably be better. replays.gensokyo.org. It renames your replays so it doesn't conflict with those that we have.
Start with 3 lives first of all. In any situation where the attacks are aimed at you from more than one angle, only move horizontally. Moving vertically tends to get you killed :P I'm specifically referring to Meiling's non spell card with the 6 monsters firing aimed blue kunai streams.
Don't be afraid to bomb Meiling's final spell card. It can get rather hard.
For stage 4, you can actually tiny dodge your way through the aimed white bullet streams. It reduces the chances of random deaths.
Stage 5 - learn to stream more. On Sakuya midboss, she has a safe spot that makes her non spell card relatively trivial. It's directly above her. Check out some replays, you'll probably see it. Also, you're doing Misdirection wrong. You want to stick to one side, and tiny dodge her attacks. Every single one of the bullets are aimed.
Overall, you could definitely learn to bomb more. You lost a lot of bombs that you could have used, and you died a lot of deaths that could have been easily avoided by bombing.

Ok, thanks a lot! I'll really try to watch more replays.
I usually try to learn patterns before I resort to bombing, but obviously that doesn't work much.

I'd say don't worry about starting with 5 lives. Do it like that first, then after you 1cc with 5, push it down to 3.
Obviously, bomb more.
Up to stage 5 I don't see too many problems except for not bombing enough(if at all)
Don't be afraid to bomb everything Sakuya has, as her spellcards are awfully random and Misdirection is either glitched or badly designed. I'm still wondering how to capture it.
Her nonspells require a bit of reading or you could find yourself walled.
The first spellcard is consistently capturable, but thanks to the randomness the other 2 are never a waste to bomb.

Ignore moving to the top of the screen if you don't feel like it. Although, the spots I chose were rather safe.
Bomb "Princess Undine". Unless you're feeling really confident.

Did the same. (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=5035) Take a look at both and compare, what we did similarly, what I did stupidly, etc.
I demonstrated a few things that you could do, but not necessarily have to.

Oh yes. Undine. How i just love when Normal spells are far more difficult than Hard spells.
