Title: Mystical Power Plant not working.

I just get a lifeless white screen.

I looked it up, and a 2-year old thread mentioned renaming the folders that the lack of japanese locale name-mangled, but it doesn't say why or to what.

You aren't giving much information that pertains directly to your situation. Are any of your folders mojibake? The linked thread seems to conclude to just rename the containing folder to anything else.

Yes. 2 of them. The first folder, containing the .exe among other things, and the one inside said folder that isn't resource or script. Contains read me and another file.

Anything else...? but I tried it. I'll try again.

EDIT: didn't work.
2 text documents are also in mojibake.

Extract the archive in Japanese locale.
