How long has it been since I was last on here? Ages, due to a computer dying on me again. This time it WASN'T my fault. My brother managed to put his foot through it and the desk. Wells, I'm back, for now. And it HAD to be right before school started again, too. :-\

YUKARI REVISITED

SEVEN FORCE

Returning from the early nineties, back to c-c-combo break your no-continue streak, it's the epic mech, the Seven Force!

Mmm... Lunatic Phantasm. Sounds fun. I'll get right to it, since I've a bit of a patterner's block right now. Expect the pre-spells to be different for the newer versions. Too much circles.

NORMAL MODE IS RE-UPLOADED. CHECK FIRST POST.

Made small changes to it, since I managed to remember a few complaints about it. Two, actually. Stuffman said that Yukari had too much life, so I upped the damage rate a little bit. And someone else was on about the Straight Xanadu not being wavy, fixed that. (Had it almost like Honest Man's Death at first. :V) Also, made a stage to go with it, for the life-extending points, and changed the BGM, now it's Charming Domination by DJShrike for Normal and Doomsday Zone by DJShrike for Hard. Lunatic's decided, but I'm keeping it a secret until I've hald the spellcards finished.

Hard mode progress: 8/8 Prespells, 10.33/11 spellcards.
Lunatic mode progress: 0/8 Prespells, 0/11 spellcards.

Anyone feel like a Hard mode Teaser?  :smug:

Also, I've noticed that the nonspells begin a little bit too quickly to grab the item points.
Oh, and I was completely excited for having captured border of Human and Youkai and then Yukari regains her hitbox and clips me. What. :V

I keep on forgetting to fix that. And Hard Mode, up to Boundary of Life And Death is uploading now. Check back in about five, ten minutes. Danmaku bounded field is being a bugger again.  :-\

Also fixed Yukari's cheap shot after Boundary of Humans and Youkai in Normal. Just let it overwrite spell10.txt in the Normal folder.

Whoopsie! Just noticed I accidentally deleted a line of code in Spiriting Away, which made the damage rate stay at 0,0 even when she wasn't moving. Here's the fixed one.

Oh, dearie. Three posts in a row. May as well say that I've started the player-versus-the-entire-Scarlet-Devil-Mansion fight. Most of the time, there's two enemies on-screen, and the last eight cards are one for each of the five main opponents, then two for the person you hit the least. And then on Lunatic, there'll be a final card, with all six onscreen, including Koakuma, or whatever you call the little thing. So if you hit, say... China the least, you'll fight her for two cards.

New project has been started: Scarlet Devil Assault. If you didn't know already, it pits you against the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Fair enough, you say. But they're not playing fair this time 'round. They're using tag spellcards, and they'll all jump in at different points in the battle. You'll be fighting one for the first couple of spells, then two to four for the bulk of them. The last few have all five in it, and then a final shot at you by the one you hit most during the battle.

Finished a rudimentary stage, probably be redoing that. But right now, you're fighting inside Patchy's library. Included "Phantasmic Killer in the Scarlet Mist", a joint Remi/Sakuya spellcard. Since it's only really Sakuya fighting, it's gonna be one of the very first cards. Also, updated one or two things in the other files, so I just lumped everything there, apart from the /sound folder.

Bad news everyone (I hope), school's started up again, and if the amount of homework I got on my first day is any indication of what to come, I won't be free to code for... God knows how long. I'll slip in a bit now and then, but don't hold your breath or anything, 'cause I spent three hours doing homework for English and Irish. Didn't even half finish English.

So... Yeah, don't expect me to be popping up any time soon.

There already is one. It's called Notepad, or something similar. Anyway, it'd take more calling on arrays and crap than I'm bothered to code right now. Under a mountain of homework, and it's not even the weekend yet. Worst thing is, all of it's due tomorrow. So no go tonight.

I haven't abandoned everything, I've just been... busy with stuff, mostly English homework. I've done more on both Yukari Revisited ~ Lunatic and Scarlet Devil Assault.

Also, just to test out how well I can do Object Effects, I've remade (through danmaku, of course) the Tails Force form of the Seven Force (through dboss in Gunstar Heroes. http://www.mediafire.com/?4vga4g2zkzd (http://www.mediafire.com/?4vga4g2zkzd)

Oh, and make sure to NOT take the files out of the folder, 'cause I've a shotdata set to /script/SevenForce . And a little heads-up, the beam bullets seem to have their hitbox stretched in front of them, making it about twice as long as the bullet, anyone know a way to fix that?

They're all just rips from Gunstar Heroes, so I just animated them. Not too difficult. Oh, and don't expect me on any more today, maybe even tomorrow. My English teacher gave us ELEVEN FUCKING QUESTIONS to do, EACH has to be OVER an A4 PAGE AND A HALF! AND ON TOP OF THAT, I'VE TO WRITE A FOUR-PAGE ESSAY! THAT'S ALMOST TWENTY A4 PAGES!

Woah... I actually motivated someone to take up danmakufu? Jaysus. Oh, and don't worry about not seeing any of the forms. Just... Don't expect Tiger Force to be incredible. I've Urchin Force half-animated, Soldier Force done, without danmaku, and Crab Force is started. Oh, and I think I'll do that big STAGE CLEAR after you beat all seven forms. Maybe even make Green throw you the Green Jewel... And if that all goes well enough, expect a stage portion. Based on the actual level with those a'sploding enemies. And the train.

Hah. If this version's Tails Force startled you, you're gonna have a heart attack when/if you fight the in-the-pipeline Lunatic Seven Force.

Oh, and I'm gonna base patterns on BOTH Gunstar Heroes (Sega Genesis) and Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA). They ruined it in the GBA version, but some of the attacks would make pretty nice danmaku.

Seven Force is starting to take shape (but I still don't have the flips down for Tails Force. o_o), and Scarlet Devil Assault is... Well... Y'know. Something's been done. That's all I'm saying.

Seven Force (Version 2.force) is now released. CAsercan3 suggested to use it as the security system for hell, so I did just that. Well, sorta. Can't leave out Gunstar Green, now, can we?

Yeaah. Nothing like the real thing, but that's a side-scrolling platformer 'splosionfest. This is... Well, my stage is a side-scrolling danmaku 'splosionfest... So there IS a difference... I think. Maybe I might make the whole mine stage, but I dunno how the hell I'll do the vertical sections.

And if ANYONE tried to make me recreate the proper changing sequence, I'll rip your spine out and beat you with it. Then I'll sic Lunautic Yukari on you.

Oh, and the danmaku for Skelly Jack's nearly done, now to try to make a Halloween Town bg... Eugh.

HAVING WANDERED BACK INTO THIS THREAD, I AM PLEASED TO FIND THAT TWO NEW FORMS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THE SEVEN FORCE SCRIPT. URCHIN FORCE HAS GIVEN ME SEVERAL SOUND THRASHINGS, WHICH I WOULD SAY REFLECTS MY EXPERIENCES IN GUNSTAR HEROES QUITE NICELY. EAGLE FORCE I CAN MOSTLY GET THE FEEL FOR, BUT IT THROWS ME OFF JUST ENOUGH. AND GREEN'S APPEARANCE IN THE BEGINNING IS SIMPLY MARVELOUS! I DECLARE IT A GOOD SHOW INDEED! AGAIN, I FIND IT IS THE SOUND EFFECT USE THAT REALLY BRINGS THIS HOME AND MAKES IT FEEL GENUINE.

ABOUT THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT THE MUSIC LOOPS INTO THE INTRO AGAIN WHEN IT COMES TO AN END, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA IF THERE IS EVEN A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE. AS WELL, IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE GREEN THROW OFF HIS CLOAK AND BRANDISH THE TREASURE GEM IN THE INTRO, BUT ONE UNDERSTANDS THIS IS LOW PRIORITY COMPARED TO MAPPING OUT THE REST OF THE FORMS.

ALTHOUGH YOU HAVE STATED YOU HAVE NO DESIRE TO ANIMATE THE TRANSFORMATIONS, I DO HOPE YOU'LL RECONSIDER ONCE YOU FINISH YOUR OTHER PROJECTS. IT WOULD BE A LOVELY CHERRY ON THE TOP FOR US FANS OF THE ORIGINAL. BUT ONE UNDERSTANDS HOW IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO DO IT WELL.

It's funny that you say that, 'cause I was going to get to that after I finished Blaster & Crab Forces. But for now, you'll have to settle with just those three, and the mine stage, which scrolls only horizontally, as opposed to what should be vertically during these three released forms. Oh, and I've made it so that REIMU_A does less damage to Urchin Force than the other characters, for obvious reasons. They'll all get through in roughly the same time now.

Also, I'll have the music looping fixed, most likely by the next release, which will have up to 5 forms, and they'll be appearing in a random order, and I'll have the vertical sections implemented by the release with the seventh form. And I might have Smash Daisaku show up on his little train beforehand, and fling soldiers at you. Maybe I'll make him a midboss, flyin' around on his little jetpack with his bravoo bustah and stretchy legs. And his awesome laugh. And his awesome music.

Oh, and I have hopes to have a shot at recreating Black's Dice Palace, but that will be awkward as hell.

Seven Force hasn't had an update here in ages, due to me having to restructure the scripts to keep the random-next-form part of the awesomeness intact.

I AM PLEASED TO SEE THAT THE SEVEN FORCE SCRIPT IS CHUGGING ALONG STILL. I AM NOW GETTING QUITE THOROUGHLY THRASHED BY SMASH DAISAKU, LET ALONE ACTUALLY REACHING SEVEN FORCE ITSELF. SUFFICE IT TO SAY IT TAKES SEVERAL CONTINUES FOR ME TO ACTUALLY GET ANYWHERE. THIS IS PRIMARILY BECAUSE I AM TERRIBLE AT DANMAKU. THIS RAISES AN IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE NOT SO GOOD, ARE THERE PLANS FOR AN EASY MODE?
