Runs of note so far:

Splatoon was super good

The Super Mario Kart race apparently ended
literally frames apart.  Not seconds.  frames.  Followed by a race that... well, watch the timers on that too.
  Going to have to watch that later.

So the Crypt of the Necrodancer bonus run got met.  A Coda run - gold kills, missed beats hurt, you only ever have 0.5 hearts, and you're locked to the dagger.  And the beat's going at twice the normal speed.

What's the story with the echo? It really cut into the SMK race to the point that it was difficult to watch despite how close the race was.

Are you talking about the uploads on the marathon channel? Yeah, they have an echo problem. I've heard they'll be reuploaded when the event is over.

EDIT: Uhhhh, does anyone know what happened to the Metroid Prime run? It looks like something killed it.

Twitch was dying intermittently, so they paused the run.  It's still going on though.

I watched the replay last night, it was excellent.

Currently they're on the NES block, on Ninja Gaiden 2.  These are always top notch, because the combination of sheer skill and years of optimization have just made it great fun to view.

Watching the MTPO blindfolded race on my smartphone in the train back home was worth it.

(I'm actually surprised the stream never lagged, despite the train passing through areas (mainly forests) where there's only EDGE or even no data coverage)

The Pokemon Yellow run followed by the glitch showcase. This was a fun two and a half hours.

EDIT: Okay this is hilarious. They're doing arbitrary code execution in the bonus Final Fantasy run and it's 3+ minutes of going up and down a flight of stairs. And they fucked it up, so they're doing the stairs all over again.

EDIT: And they fucked it up again. Oh man. Victory for the stairs.

Love this TAS block. They tried starting the Brain Age TAS and after three times of the DS failing to register the game, they took the cart out, blew on it and it worked. Always works.
