I wanna ask if any of you guys have already built a replica of Touhou items?
One of my friend, who's a Reimu-fan made his own gohei with a rotan and cut some white silk-cloths(?) into the shape of the gohei.
Another friend tries to make a Mini-Hakkero. First by cardboard but then decides to use plank woods instead. He already has the glass, but no skill or experience in carpentering.
How about you guys? I'm sure some had done it before.
edit: Wait wait wait, how was this a topic again?

Does pretending kitchen knives are Sakuya's knives count?
-
Actually, it kinda counts... If only I could say that earlier.
Just like pretending a thick book to be Patchy's.
-
I make Power/Point/Faith/etc items out of wax beads; I guess that counts lol.

This isn't a replica and it isn't something I built, but I had a set of Touhou dice made for tabletop gaming. They're all six-sided and there are two kinds: Red and white with a yin-yang symbol in place of the six, and black and white with the Hakkero trigrams in place of the six.

I didn't make these myself, I had them made professionally by Chessex, but they're still a unique Touhou item. Well, sort of, I had to have ten of each made to fulfill the minimum order size, but I've only allowed a few of them each into the wild, so they're mostly unique to me. Anybody else could have Chessex make them the same thing, but as far as I know nobody else has. At some point I intend to get a second set made, with a green one with Sanae's frog hairpin and a blue-green one with the ghost symbol from the hem of Youmu's dress.

Actually those would make badass dice too. Don't know why I didn't think of that before.

That's illegal.

That's illegal.
Care to explain why?

Once Yoiti finishes the Touhou Playing Cards series (only the King of Diamonds remain), I'll have them made into an actual deck.
What to do with any extra decks I'd have to think of later...

That's illegal.
Then golly, I suppose the banner of this very website is also illegal, considering it features a yin-yang symbol.
The yin-yang symbol is no more a Touhou invention than the christian crosses some of the characters have. The hakkero tigrams are in the same boat, although from a quick search of the wiki the design on the dice is actually different from the official artwork (http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/File:SSIBCH15Minihakkero.jpg) to begin with (unless I'm just blind a'course), so you'd have even less of a case.

Calm your horses and camels people. I think you shouldn't take some unfunny person serious who hasn't posted for almost 8 months and submits to a dumb one-liner.

The trigram symbols can be found on the Dharma logo in Lost as well, so it's hardly original anyway.

Pssh, no need to get on your high horse, I'm just foaling around. If I were any calmer I'd be camaltose. You can tell because I'm typing in my calm(el) font.
...I'd add a "gāmāl" pun stating that I'd better do so since people tend to humph or (eq)whine at puns rather than find them amusing, but I have no idea how it fits syntactically. Ah well, spit happens.

*Bloody religious chatter
And the thread took the WHOLE wrong turn. Time for a U-turn now.
