>"Um Reisen, I'm sorry..."
Edit: >"Because we're gonna skedaddle on outta here!" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7aW0Uj3778)
>Snatch Mokou and skedaddle back into the other room.
>Specifically make sure that we are skedaddling back to the other room.>"It's fine... I was just about to write up her discharge papers anyway..." Reisen replies.
>Give Mokou a little push toward Keine.>You attempt to nudge Mokou but-
>She's probably already running toward her.
>Initiate the first Ponder of the new thread and Ponder how Koishi managed to get her into the middle with such unorganized rabbits...>Knowing her abilities, it's very likely that she just made it so that the rabbits didn't notice them.
>Watch out for any projectile rabbits.>You raise your guard in case some of the rabbits are sent flying, however this probably won't happen.
>Probably wouldn't hurt too much. They're all so fluffy.>They aren't fluffy when they're in this form, though. So they'd still hurt, regardless.>Unless you get hit in the face with a foot, that's probably hurt. You'd be pretty lucky because of it though...
>Follow Mokou into the dense fluff, maybe apologize to a few of the rabbits.>You pursue Mokou into the rabbit crowd, apologizing as you go. Their responses vary greatly, with some being an annoyed grumble, while others are a simple "Oh, it's fine..."
>"Koishi, I think we should leave Kiene with Mokou. We need to find Eirin."
//Don't worry, we've all done it.>"My name is spelled Keine! Go back to school!"
//Don't worry, we've all done it.>You push your way out of the rabbits with Koishi following close behind, and find your way back to the hallway that led to the room Reisen was in. You're glad it's relatively simple to get there, you feel if the hallway was any farther, you'd get lost in the maze of hallways just trying to get there.
>Navigate back out of the fluff labrynth.
>Find that hallway again, this place is confusing.>WHO BUILDS A BIG CONFUSING MANSION IN THE MIDDLE OF A BAMBOO FOREST?!
>Collapse from realizing we have been Illuminati puppets the whole time.
>>Wondering where Mima is huh? Don't worry, the Illumimanati is still active in secret. Waiting for just the right time...>Spells Wakasagihime right. Misspells Keine... :colbert:
>Walk in, she's probably still there, and I don't know where Eirin is. I suck at directions.
>Knock on the door.>You take one step into the room, but immediately change your mind and step backwards.>"I'm both respecting your privacy by knocking and asserting my authority as an incident resolver by coming in anyway."
>Keep knocking.>You continue to knock repetitively on the open door.
>Put on a nice big smile, as to say "Yes, really.">Reisen frowns.
>"I don't know where Eirin is, could you tell me please?">"Yes. Certainly. As soon as you stop knocking." Reisen responds, "In case you haven't noticed, we have some patients in here that need bed rest, and I'm sure they're really enjoying that loud, repetitive noise..."
>Bat eyelashes.
>>"I know I am, ever heard of ASMR?"
>Stop knocking>You cease knocking on the door.as much.
>"sorry">
>Motion Koishi to follow.
>I forgot Koishi was even there.>You gesture towards Koishi. Reisen gives you an odd look as you do so, before continuing on.
>Oh wait...
>Quietly follow Reisen>Reisen leads you out of the room and down a couple more hallways, along the way, you pass by more groups of rabbits huddling together of warmth.
//Ed Edd and Eddy jokes are the best.>"Hi there!" Koishi smiles.
>"Ummm, this is Koishi, she's been here the whole time. If you didn't notice her, don't think about it too hard."
>>"Look Reisen. Look with your special eyes."
>"I'd like to not have to explain this, but just know we want to see Eirin as soon as possible.">"Well, alright." Reisen replies, "Anyway, let's keep going. It's not much farther."
>"So how have you been doing Reisen?">"Oh, I've been fine. Everything's been pretty normal for me here..." Reisen answers as you continue walking, "...Well, aside from the obvious..."
>>"How 'bout that protag position in LoLK?"
>"Thanks Reisen, good luck handling Mokou...">"You're welcome." she replies, before heading back down the hallway you came from.
>Make sure Koishi is still present.>Koishi is still with you.
>>If not, panic. Wait, why am I panicking?
>If so, enter.>You enter the room.
>"Don't worry, she's probably seen a lot worse...">You take a step backwards and begin knocking lightly on the open door.
>Knock on the door LIGHTLY.
>Don't continue knocking, wouldn't do us well to anger the good doctor.>
>"Well, this is Koishi. We've already seen something worse than this and I think you should see it too, please.">"Well hello there, Koishi. I'm Eirin Yagokoro: Medical genius and pharmacist. But I assume you already knew that."
>Smooth Sanae, Master of Persuasion MODO, ACTIVATE!>"Oh, I highly doubt I've never seen it. There are almost no afflictions that I haven't seen during my incredibly long life... Now, what condition is it?"
>"It might be a kind of condition you've never seen before, I'm not sure."
>Shiver at being reminded of Satori's condition.>You shiver as you remember how Satori looked, with her severely burned skin, and glazed-over, cooked eyes... It's a rather vivid and unsettling memory.
>"I can only describe it as very severe radiation poisoning, on a youkai no less.">"Radiationing poisoning you say?" she replies, "Huh. I haven't seen a case of that since before I left the moon... Sounds interesting. Why don't you come over here and tell me more? It will be easier for me to finish this surgery that way."
>Conveniently leave out the fact she is a mind reader, don't know how the good doctor would respond to that.
>pull out random projector. It was like this, but realistically. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJTnsPZpBnI)
>Walk over and lean close to Eirin.
>Approach>You walk over to the operating table. As you get closer, you can't help but stare at Kaguya's leg. Eirin has made a large incision, exposing the muscle below, and is keeping it open with a clamp. You can't help but watch as the skin on either side of the cut seems to pulsate slightly, as if the sides are desperately trying to fuse back together. You also notice that the leg is strapped to the operating table. Overall, the sight is rather freaky...
>"Considering the circumstances, it isn't exactly safe to talk about too openly. I really don't want the details getting out right now. All I can tell you right now is that it requires immediate attention and has to do with the extreme cold."
>"It was really hard to look at. I think she was lucky though, it could've been worse. Much worse.">"So then, if it requires immediate attention, when and where do you plan on giving me these details?" Eirin asks as she begins to cut into the damaged muscle around the tree branch, "And no, they haven't been here yet. I'd see no reason why they'd come here anyway, aside from medical treatment, seeing as we neither have a connection to this incident, nor is there any evidence suggesting a connection."
>Whisper to Eirin: "Have Reimu, Marisa or the others been here recently?"
>"Her whole body looked roasted. Her eyes were fried and she could barely see. She couldn't speak well ether. We'd really appreciate it if you could help, she's someone dear to Koishi. If you came with us, I could tell you everything I know, and you could see it for yourself as well.">"I see... It sounds serious..." she replies, "Well, I'd be happy to come with you and see this for myself, but how soon does this person need treatment?"
>Step back... a lot.>You step back several feet.
>"Whoa Kaguya, what happened to you?" Try to look away from Kaguya or Eirin while this is about to happen.>You try to avert your eyes. You are now looking at Koishi, who's watching the surgery with curiosity.
>"I... it's extremely important. Said person is...someone many depend on and...my sh-...we...If she dies........ We're not sure how long she'll be fine for, but it definitely will effect many, not just her family, if her condition continues to worsen.">"Well, alright then. I'll come with you, just give me a minute to finish up here." Eirin replies.
>Girls are performing surgery, please wait warmly...>You wait and watch as Eirin sets down the bloody branch that was once in Kaguya's leg on the table, and begin pushing the pieces of Kaguya's femur back into place. As they near each other, they fragments suddenly fly together with a sickening bone-cracking sound and immediately begin to slowly mend themselves. It kinda reminds you of the magnet toys they give to kids in the outside world. Once all the fragments are in place, with the only evidence of them being apart being the slowly fading cracks in the bone. Eirin immediately removes the clamps. Almost instantaneously, Kaguya's muscle and skin rapidly creeps back into place, and all evidence of the incision disappears.
>"I think I might just stay here, wouldn't want to get lost...">"Oh? Well, alright. I guess you can just keep the princess company until I get back then."
>"So, uhhh, how's surgery?">"Well, besides having my leg painfully smashed with a sledgehammer, I'd say it was rather boring..." Kaguya replies.
>Ponder immortality,>You think for a moment about immortality.get headache.
>"I'm kinda interested in what happened in your latest battle. Last I saw Mokou, she didn't look nearly as bad.">"Well, we sorta managed to knock each other out at several thousand feet above the forest. They told me I landed in a bunch of dead trees and shrubs... But hey! At least I knocked Mokou into a frozen pond!"
>"...">"Wha? What explosion? I don't remember there ever being an explosion... Well, I was unconscious for a while... That would be amazing if she exploded though, it means I won't have to see her ugly face for the next few days!"
>"SHE WAS THAT FREAKING EXPLOSION!!?"
>"No she didn't explode. People exploding is not okay.">"Damn." Kaguya grumbles.
>"Yes, everything is fine, don't worry about it."
>"Sorry, I was just remembering something. Please carry on.">"Oh... Okay..." says the rabbit before she continues on with her business.
>Back to Kaguya: "Well, her face is actually pretty alright. I was near the lake and when I went to investigate it, there wasn't anyone inside. Maybe she exploded, I only heard the noise anyways.">"What lake?" Kaguya frowns, "I didn't say anything about a lake. I said I knocked her into a pond. Does it look like there's a lake anywhere near here!? You know, when you're talking to someone, it helps to pay attention!"
>"If you knocked her into a frozen pond, then gee, she must've had to put on a whole bandage.">"Don't be ridiculous. She's immortal. She doesn't need a bandage any more than I need a cast... Besides, I'm pretty sure she either froze to death or drowned while she was unconscious..."
>"Guess I'll just have to ask her what happened before I leave. Anyways, so how are you feeling Koishi?">"I'm a little cold, but I'm fine. What about you? You look a little tired..." Koishi replies.
>"I'm not used to this yet, that's all. Reimu and the others have so much stamina to do all of this. I couldn't rest even if I wanted until this whole thing gets finished.">"So... Does that mean you're going to pass out from exhaustion or something?"
>Proceed to pass out and require to rest.
>"Okay, let's make haste. We can't afford to linger around.">You head out of the room, Koishi follows you.
>Head for the nearest exit.
>"Koishi, can you do your invisibility thingy again?">"Done." Koishi smiles.
>"Okay.....How do we get through these halls again Eirin?">"Just follow me." Eirin replies.
>"Okay.">You begin to follow Eirin through the halls of Eientei.
>Follow Eirin.
>"Has anyone else tried getting past the blocked areas Koishi?">"I don't think so..." Koishi replies, "But I don't know for sure, because I can't be in several places at once. Unless you count being in your head and next to you. Does that count? Maybe it does count... I wonder what else could count. What's the longest someone can count before passing out from exhaustion? That's a good question... Maybe I can ask Okuu to do it. Oh, wait... but she can't count well unless she's in the reactor room... Maybe I can ask Orin. Can she count well? Am I saying all this out loud? Are we there yet? If I am saying all this out loud, I'm sorry. Are we at the lobby yet? Look at these cute rabbits. I wanna take one home with me... Are. We. There. Yet? I hope the weather outside is at least a little better... Are we-"
>"Don't worry, you'll forget she's even there soon enough.">"Only if I let her." Koishi adds, "Or if I forget what I'm doing... Or if I space out... or if I lose focus... wait, I think those last two are the same thing... Are they the same thing? Are we there yet?"
>"You're starting to remind me of Flandre Scarlet, Koishi. You both are fairly carefree and you also move around a lot by yourselves. Speaking of which, are you just allowed to go anywhere you want?">"Well, I guess so. Unless it's a place I instinctively avoid, in which case, well, I just don't go there. Also, nobody really tries to stop me when I space out and let myself wander, anyway... Unless it's my sister or what's-her-name-buddhist-monk-woman..."
>"Um, Eirin, she probably doesn't actually know you're even there.">"Come again?"
>"Yeah, that's Koishi's power, I don't know how it works but they can't see or hear us. I wonder if Reisen could?">"Oh..." says Eirin with a slightly embarrassed expression, "Well, I guess I must've looked quite foolish just now..."
>"Anyways, could you uncloak Eirin for a bit Koishi?">"Sure thing." Koishi replies.
>Touch Tewi's ears, who knows when we'll get another chance to do this?>You sneakily tiptoe up to Tewi and give a light pet to one of her ears. The rabbit fur feels very soft to the touch.
>"Uncloak us too for a moment please Koishi.">Koishi nods.
>"Yeah, we're still here. By the way Eirin, who's do you think is better, Tewi's ears or Reisen's?">"Well, I don't know... I'd say Udongein's ears are better... They're far longer..." Eirin answers.
>"Touch your ear? Whoa, I wouldn't do something like that without consent first...">"Then explain why you suddenly appeared right next to me, because I know I didn't just imagine that." Tewi glares, "You're the only person here who could've possibly touched my ear."
>"Hey Eirin, can I pet Tewi's ears? Or her tail? Just a few pats won't hurt. If not, then what about Reisen's?">"You'd have to ask permission from them individually, and I doubt they'll let you. Rabbits, no matter where they come from, are quite sensitive about being touched in those places. I think Udongein might let you touch her ears if you ask nicely, but don't even think about grabbing her tail. Udongein has military training from when she was still in the Lunar Corps, and she will likely pin you to the ground as soon as you lay a finger on it. Don't try it on Tewi either, while she may not have Udongein's skill, I've seen her give people a nasty black eye..." Eirin replies.
>"Well I'm sorry for touching your ear then." Pout. "But it's not fair you guys get to be so soft while all I have are frogs and snakes.">"It's fine, just don't do it again. Okay?"
>Equip Winter Outfit.>You extract your bulky winter clothes from your hammerspace sleeves and equip them, eliciting a couple of perplexed looks from Tewi and Eirin.
>"Come on, let's go.">"Alright then," Eirin replies, "I assume Koishi is going to do that thing of hers?"
>Begin flying away.>The three of you leave the lobby and take to the air. The blizzard seems to have died down a little, but it's still bad enough to impair your vision.
>"I hope we haven't wasted too much time. Her condition might've worsened or not, but if it got really bad, someone would've been sent. The worst thing that could happen on our way there is either a massive blizzard, or meeting Reimu along the way.">"Well, if we ran into Reimu, she wouldn't notice us." Koishi yells over the wind, "Trust me, I know."
>"You didn't take anything from Eientei, did you Koishi?"
>"You didn't take anything from Eientei, did you Koishi?">"Of course I did." Koishi shouts back, "I always pick up souvenirs when I go places."
>"If you stole a frying pan, give it to me. I need to upgrade my gear."
>Sanae became the Koishipan! HP: 7342/7342
>"Will you apologize to those two this time around Koishi?">"Which two?" Koishi says as she gets closer, "There were lots of people back there. Unless you mean two other people from somewhere else. But what other two people? I've been lots of places. Unless, of course, you mean apologize to the two souvenirs I got today... but who talks to objects? Well, non tsukumogami objects, but that's not the point. The point is that would be silly."
>"I meant the bridge girl you smacked with yo- My frying pan.">"Oh, Her... But she's just one person, you said apologize to those two! Unless she has a split personality... Does she? I need to look into her mind later and find out. Mental disorders are fun places to be!"
>"Her and the Oni that was comforting her earlier.">"Oh, yeah, I know who you're talking about now... I'll do it eventually."
>"How far are we from the entrance Koishi? We might get caught in the blizzard if we don't take shelter soon.">"Judging by how long we've been flying I'd guess that we're at least a quarter of the way there by now." she replies, "Unless we've been flying the wrong way... But you're not the kind of person who would do that... right?"
>"Let's grab hands. I'm not 100% sure on how Koishi's ability works, but if one of us goes to far, I'm pretty sure they'd be out of the cloak.">"That sounds like a good idea." Eirin responds.
>"TRIANGLE DIVE TIME. BORN IN THE DARKNESS TO LIVE IN THE DARK-NESS. THAT IS THE NINJA CREEeed!"
>Get on one of Koishi's sides and grab her hand. "We're grabbing yours Koishi.">You fly to Koishi's left and take her hand.
>"Hey, what happened to your purple eye anyways Koishi. Did you poke it too much or something? Is that's why you wanted to poke Kogasa's?">"Oh..." Koishi replies, "Well... If you must know... I sorta sealed it shut..."
>"You sorta sealed it? Was it an accident?">"No... I did it on purpose... By the way, you still haven't told me who's leading..."
>"You can lead. We just need to hurry and get there before anything worse happens.">"Okay."
>"Hey Eirin, do you understand how Mokou's powers work?">"Are you asking me about what was granted to her by the Hourai Elixir, or her pyrokinesis?" Eirin asks.
>"Her pyro-kinesis. I already gave myself a headache thinking about the former during Kaguya's surgery"
>"I also got to see that in action when her leg sealed itself shut.">"Oh, well then I'm no expert about it, but I'm pretty sure she can conjure heat just by concentrating, and it can vary from just a rise in body temperature to an all out inferno." Eirin replies, "But honestly, it would be better to ask Mokou yourself, since only she truly knows how her powers work."
>yuck...>The thought of seeing Kaguya's leg healing itself makes you feel disgusted.
>"Uh huh...Koishi, you see any of those annoying orbs around? I'd like to avoid them for once.">"I don't know. I don't think we can see any in this weather..." Koishi answers, "They would be much easier for me to find if they had some kind of subconscious. But unfortunately, they don't. So the only way we'll find some is if they see us first. Do you think they can see through the snow? Actually, do they even see at all? I don't recall ever seeing eyes on those things..."
>"Uhh, I'm not sure... let's just hope for the best."
>"If I find out who's sending them or in charge of them, I'd like to give them a piece of my mind!">"Well, that's assuming they even have a master..." Koishi adds.
>"I miss fighting Fairies and their blocked-aids. Speaking of Fairies, what's in Cirno's subconscious?">"Oh, her? I'm actually not sure. I never really bothered to look. I don't think there will be anything special, though. Most fairy subconsciouses tend to look the same anyway... Eh, I might as well look at it when I have time... Unless I space out and forget about this whole conversation before I do..."
>I'm not sure if she would even remember something like that. Probably sounds like white noise anyway.>You honestly doubt Koishi's ability to remember this conversation. But it's probably for the best.
>"We're going to the entrance at Reimu's Shrine right?">"If, by that, you mean the way we came out of, then yes." Koishi replies, "Unless you're saying that Reimu's Shrine is directly liked to the underground, but I don't ever recall there being an entrance there... Maybe we should check it out just in-"
>Eirin probably just realized how awesome an entrance to the underground under Eientei would be. More business.>Yeah, that's totally it.
>Stop>You stop.
>"What is it Eirin? Are there any annoying Yin Yang orbs. Pleease tell me there aren't any orbs.">"Be quiet!" Eirin snaps, "Listen. Do you hear that?"
>Listen, particularly for the horrible noise of spinning.>You listen.
>Listen>You continue listening.
>"I vote earthquake, how about you?">"In the air?" Koishi asks, "That would be silly!"
>Try to figure out where it's coming from. Direction-wise at least.>It seemed to have been coming from the direction you were flying towards.
>"It's definitely something coming this way. Just a thought, but maybe we should move.">As soon as you begin to say that. You see a bright flash, followed by a loud bang.
>"What in the-!?">The three of you begin to descend, however, as you do so, the wind picks up considerably, and the sound of thunder begins to reverberate around you.
>Descend rapidly
>Regain our posture as much as we can and try to locate Koishi and Eirin.>You manage to stabilize yourself in the air and begin searching for your companions.
>Try to Descend again.>You begin descending head-first towards the ground.
>Toto? Toto!?
>I've got no idea whether to call out or stay silent.
>"...?">You just sit there, utterly perplexed by your situation...
>Examine self. Are we still our normal,>You check yourself.more-buxom-than-Reimuself? Did we lose anything?
>Well, nothing better to do than start pokin' shit.>You fly up to one of the black and white vein orbs and gently prod it with your gohei.
>Prod one of the weird veiny orbs. WITH THE GOHEI, mind you. Ain't touching this weird crap with me mandibles.
>>Keep knocking.
>This prompts further inspection.>You fly up the the wall and prod it with the gohei.
>Poke the walls.
>Do a faith check>You check your faith, and to your surprise, it's all gone! Which is very odd, considering that you should have enough to perform two small miracles.
>Oh dear...
>I don't want to antagonize potentially thousands of unidentified orbs of what power I do not know, evasive action!
>Back away.>You back away from the wall, the artery orbs fall into a wall-like formation and appear to be corralling you towards the center of the corridor.
>"S-Suwako-sama h-help. What's happening?">"HOW PITIFUL. THE WIND PRIESTESS CALLS OUT FOR HELP, YET NOBODY COMES." you hear a sinister, monotonous voice call out from seemingly nowhere.
>GOD DAMNIT, FLOWEY?!
>"Okay, guess I have to help myself then!">You point your gohei at the artery orbs and fire a massive, steady stream of danmaku.
>FIRE ALL THE BULLETS!
>"Well what else do you expect me to do?!">"SHE SPEAKS TO US AS IF WE WERE A VOICE OF GUIDANCE. SHE IS GRAVELY MISTAKEN."
>Back away more.>The orbs continue herding you towards the center of the corridor.
>"How typical. Of course there'd be a mysterious voice that uses fancy words. Wherever you are, you should be more original. Don't you have anything better to do than mock me?" To our self. "Now how do I get out of here...">"SHE BELIEVES WE ARE MOCKING HER. SHE RESPONDS WITH CRITICISM. WE TAKE OFFENSE TO THIS. SHE NEEDS TO LEARN HER PLACE. LIKE HER COLLABORATORS, SHE MUST BE TAUGHT THE ULTIMATE LESSON."
>"Wait, collaborators? Where are Koishi and Eirin?">"SHE CONFUSES HER COMPANIONS WITH HER COLLABORATORS. THIS IS UNDERSTANDABLE. PERHAPS WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LESS CRYPTIC. WE REFER TO THE ONES SHE WORSHIPS. THE DEITIES, AND THOSE WHO ARE CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH HER SHRINE. A DISGUSTING FACTION. ONE THAT IS A FESTERING DEFECT ON REALITY. A DEFECT THAT WILL BE CORRECTED."
>Douman Seiman
>Doesn't seem like we're going anywhere soon.>After you finish asking your question, you suddenly feel a wrenching sensation, and your body is forcibly jerked to the center of the corridor and rotates so that you are once again looking out towards the star-filled horizon.
>"What do you want from me then? I don't know what your problem is with my Goddesses, either."
>"My goddess help those in need. All we ask for in return is faith. We've been helping out some people while I've been trying to resolve this incident as well!">The central orb glows a brilliant blue, and the featureless silver becomes a shimmering, cloud-like pattern.
>"What mistake? We've done nothing wrong besides the recent incident. And even so, the original purpose was intended for a good cause.">The central orb glows blood red, the shimmering pattern disappears.
>Dodge, 'nuff said.>Don't get hit.
>Avoid being damaged.
>Evade.
>You attempt to move, only to find that you can't!>Graze for score
>Fly onto the platform. If we're up there, we shouldn't be able to get hit by the lasers...right?
>"Gensokyo has been getting along just fine with my Goddess' appearance. Explain that as an imbalance.">You try to speak. But no words leave your mouth. You are forced to float there helplessly as the lasers close in on you. When the pits in front of you fire, you can only watch as the beams get ever closer until...
>>BECAUSE REASONS!
>"I don't feel lucky...">You look around.
>Look around the room.
>"Where am I now? Where's Koishi?">"I believe they call this place the Palace of the Earth Spirits." Eirin replies, "You're in one of their guest rooms. As for Koishi, well, she's with her sister."
>Check on our right leg.>You throw over the blanket and inspect your right leg. You also just now notice that your shoes and socks are missing.
>"Oh thank goodness, glad I can still walk. No way am I trying it now though, I feel exhausted.">"Yes, I've seen her. And I've already treated her. She'll..." she pauses for a moment, "survive..."
>"So, have you seen Satori?"
>"I'm guessing you know why it's so cold now, don't you?">"Hmm? Why would you ask that? Does it have something to do with whatever your goddess is hiding? I've questioned her a few times about how Satori ended up in her condition when she came to check on you, but she always dodged my question before heading off somewhere. I was actually about to go try and track her down to demand some answers, but apparently you know something. Would you care to enlighten me?" she smiles, "Oh, and speaking of your goddess, I'm sure she'll be relieved once she finds out you're awake."
>Oh crap face.>Tears begin to stream from your eyes.
>Start crying. "You weren't supposed to find out. This shouldn't have happened!"
>Stop crying.>You sniffle and wipe away your tears.
>Eirin is super intelligent. If anything, she can help, even if she's just medically talented. She won't tell anyone, probably.>You think for a moment, about Eirin's intelligence, and how she can be useful. Even though she's more knowledgeable about medical practice and pharmaceuticals, she might be able to assist with coming up with a solution. If so, she could be a valuable asset, especially if more accidents like Satori's occur.
>"I don't really know how to explain it. Lady Kanako was doing an experiment with the reactor and something went wrong. Now it's pulling heat from Gensokyo and they're trying to revert whatever they did."
>"You can't tell anyone. If everyone knows, we'll start to lose faith, then Kanako and Suwako might not survive, and... ">Eirin stays silent for a moment.
>Wipe face>You wipe your face once more. It feels dry now.
>"Eirin, you're old right?you know some of Gensokyo's history right? Have my goddesses do anything...severe, in the past?"
>"It was about the nightmare I had. Something involving my Goddesses creating an imbalance or something...">"Oh... Well, it's was just a nightmare, after all... It probably held no significance."
>"Can I see how everyone's doing?">"Certainly, if you're confident enough that you can walk on a numb leg without injuring yourself."
>"I guess I'll stay put and wait it out then... How's Kogasa doing?">"Who's Kogasa?"
>"Annoying umbrella girl, can't miss her. Tries to surprise people always.">"Come to think of it, I did see a karakasa with heterochromia when Koishi and I were dragging you in here. Is that who you're referring to? She looked rather shocked when she saw you. And after I finished Satori, she asked me if you were going to be okay. I haven't really seen her since, though..."
>"She means well, but she is very persistent in surprising people. You're probably scheduled for a spookingspoopingreal soon.
>"Eirin says my right leg will be numb for a while, but otherwise, I'm okay. Is everyone alright down here?>"That's good to hear." Kanako gives a relieved smile, "Everyone's been doing fine down here."
>"Any progress?">Kanako turns to Eirin, "Can you leave us for a moment?"
>"Well, it should be easier with an extra brain around, right?">"I suppose so..." Kanako replies.
>"I'm sorry Lady Kanako. When I woke up she said she already saw Satori, and I assumed you already told her...">"It's fine. At least it was only Eirin and not someone like Reimu or that Magician friend of hers..."
>"Maybe a miracle can work? I don't have enough faith for a strong one now, but anything's possible with miracles, right?">"I thought of that, but it's impossible. The size of miracle that would be required to shut down the reactor would be obscenely large. As in, you'll need an amount of faith equivalent to that of nearly everyone in Gensokyo in order to pull it off. And even then, I'm not sure that would be enough."
>"It'd be all over the second Marisa decides to come underground. There's no way she'd stop when she starts something and even if she is stopped by Yuugi and Parsee, she'll just come back with Reimu.">"You are correct." Kanako answers, "All the more reason to resolve this thing before either of them come snooping down here."
>Check our leg. Is it better now?>You firmly apply pressure to your leg.
>"Well, I'm glad I could help you even a little, Kanako-sama. Is there anything else you need done? Preferably not too strenuous?">"Well, there isn't anything that comes to mind. So I have nothing else for you to do at the moment."
>"I guess I'll have to... do nothing then...">"Well, I'm sure you can find something to do..." Kanako replies, "Once your leg regains feeling, of course..."
>noooooo...>Nothing is scarier than the thought of doing... NOTHING!
>"I guess I'll have to... do nothing then..."Relevant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iREL5UYByd0)
Relevant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iREL5UYByd0)>"Certainly." says Kanako, before taking a few steps towards the door, "I'll leave you to rest now. Do you need anything from me before I go?" she asks.
>"Could you tell everyone that I'm okay. Eirin said they seemed worried about me."
>"I had a dream about these orbs that claimed you and Suwako-sama created an imbalance in Gensokyo... Did they mean anything by that?">"An imbalance?" Kanako looks puzzled, "I don't ever recall us ever doing that... And if we did, surely that boundary youkai would let us know... wouldn't she?"
>"I hope...">"Is that all you wanted ask me?"
>"Wanna play Truth or Dare?"
>"Um, yes. Take care Lady Kanako.">"You too, Sanae."
>"I should be fine. Thank you.">Eirin walks out of the room. Leaving you alone.
>Try to see if we can open the wardrobe from here.>You can tell, just by looking, that the wardrobe is much too far away to reach from the bed.
>Not really much else to be doing right now.>Yup...
>I wonder where Kogasa is.>Knowing her, she's probably hiding somewhere predictable, waiting for the right moment to strike...
>Internally panic at the prospect of dealing with Kogasa, who may very well be under this bed, or inside the wardrobe, waiting to give me a heart attack.>You begin flipping out internally. You really don't want to have to deal with Kogasa's shenanigans right now. But you stop panicking when you realize that this is Kogasa you're thinking about. Giving you a heart attack is one thing she isn't good at.
>And played that sick game of truth or dare.>Play truth or dare with yourself to pass the time.
>Replace our paranoia with relaxation. We haven't been able to unwindall daysince we visited Reimu.Nah, we were still talking about the incident and had to deal with her Hakurei intuition suspicions. Since we stayed at the Scarlet Devil Mansion with Wakasagihime.
>And played that sick game of truth or dare.>You relax. It feels great. As you do so, you reminisce about the time you spent in the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
>Play truth or dare with yourself to pass the time.>You consider playing Truth or Dare with yourself, but that would be silly! Not to mention boring.
"Oh, her?" Reimu begins, "Yeah, she's popped up once or twice over the last couple days. It was mostly just to say hi, though. As usual."
>Ponder why Yukari hasn't done anything or told anyone about the incident yet. There's no way she doesn't know already.
>Yukari is a schemer, maybe we'll be able to fix it and nobody has to know. She probably won't let that happen without sticking her nose into it just a little bit.>You wonder why Yukari hasn't taken any action yet.
>Maybe she's still sleeping, I hear she hibernates.>Or she could just be sleeping right now. But that is very unlikely, considering Reimu mentioning that she dropped by the Hakurei Shrine a couple times.
>Well, at least she hasn't said anything about it to Reimu. She's probably up to something though.>Again, she probably has her reasons.
>I wonder how Suwako-sama is doing. Probably very worried, seeing as I've been gone for quite a while and there is probably a storm going on the surface right now.>Suwako is probably worried sick about you. You don't even know how long you were out. Therefore, It could've been many hours since you last checked in with her.
>Maybe we should ask Kanako to include Suwako in this. It will probably affect her as well if things go badly.
>I don't know if Suwako would be able to help too much. I get the feeling that nuclear physics isn't her strong point. The more people who know about it, the more likely it is to get out into the public.>You feel morally conflicted about Suwako.
>I suppose I could do that when walking is feasable again.>You look around.
>Look around.
>Maybe I should try walking? Don't know how my leg is doing.>You consider walking. Maybe walking on a numb leg isn't as difficult as it sounds.
>You consider walking. Maybe walking on a numb leg isn't as difficult as it sounds.
>_
>Wait, what are we doing? Can't we just fly?>You nearly facepalm at this realization.
>Fly out of bed and go find Kanako. I want to know what she thinks about Suwako knowing.>You float out of bed, hovering above the ground. And exit the room.
>Watch the vases, she definitely nudged one of them, I know it.>You watch the vases. She has done nothing to them, unless you count the one she's currently sticking out of.
>There is no way she didn't knock one over.
>I refuse!
>"Umm, hi Kogasa. I'm not feeling too well so please take it easy.">"Oh, okay..." she replies "...so... were you surprised at all by that?"
>"Um, yeah, actually I was.">Kogasa's jaw drops.
>For all the wrong reasons.
>Surprised that all of Satori's valuables remain unbroken...>You're still perplexed on how she managed to not break the vases.
>"Kogasa, how did you get in there?">"It wasn't hard. I just sorta squeezed in."
>That is also mildly surprising, but I don't wanna inflate her tiny ego.>"Sure. I have no reason to be in here anymore anyway." she smiles, before grabbing onto the sides of the vase and attempting to push herself upward... only to find that she couldn't.
>"Ooookay, maybe you should get out of Satori's stuff, literally."
>The most I can do for her now is pray.>You don't pray for her.
>Don't pray.
>Attempt to justify my cruelty mentally.>You attempt to justify your cruelty.
>I'll be really surprised if she doesn't break anything.>That would be jaw dropping.
>Maybe I should help her out, just out of appreciation for the integrity of Satori's fine ceramics.>If you were to assist her, you'd do it to save Satori's vase. Not for her.
>"Okay, maybe you should try being a bit more gentle with that case."
//Autocorrect can suck my>"Why are you talking to the vase!?!" Kogasa gives you a look, "And I-I don't need your help! All that was just an uh... Act! I was just uh... rehearsing...! for a... play...! Yeah! That's right! A play called uh... Struggle: The Musical! Yeah! Surprising, huh?"++++
>"Okay, vase, let me help you get that Kogasa out of you."
>"Okay then, seeing as you don't need my help, and you're busy rehearsing, I suppose I'll leave you to it.">You begin floating away.
>Hover away, I've got better things to be doing.
>Moral conflictions.>You are morally conflicted on whether or not to help the poor girl.
>I mean, she IS really adorable, if not annoying as hell. Her outfit clashes horribly with her umbrella half, too.>Even though her outfit and umbrella clash horribly, she is quite adorable... In an annoying way...
>How dare I judge someone on what they wear. I'm so cool.
>"It'd be really straining for me to help, especially with my leg like this. If I help, you'll owe me. A lot...">"Okay, whatever. Just get me out of here..."
//You've probably heard about the hype, I've beaten it 3 times. Good game and better OST.>Kogasa remains silent.
>"Okay, let me see what I can do with my one good leg."
>We could probably pick up the vase and have Kogasa pull onto something while we try to pull the vase off of her. It'd be safer than trying to pull Kogasa herself out... for the vase at least.>That might work. Provided you can find something for Kogasa to grab onto.
>Look for something, maybe a doorway or a large pillar. Palaces should have those.>You spot two possible things nearby for Kogasa to grab onto: The door to the room Satori was being kept in, and the banister of the nearby staircase.
>Oh dear, both of those choices look suicidal... Something's bound to break.>Maybe if you did it gently and carefully, you won't break anything, but extricating Kogasa would be much less effective that way. Either way, you decide it just isn't worth it.
>"Maybe if you got really sweaty you could squeeze out of there more easily?">"W-What!?! How would I get sweaty!?!" Kogasa exclaims "I can't exactly do jumping jacks in here, you know? ...And wouldn't my clothes just soak up the sweat and defeat the purpose?"
>"If I remove your clothes and put you next to a fire upside down, you should eventually slip out.">"Wha- remove my clothes!" Kogasa blushes, "H-How are you going to do that. Half of my clothes are in the vase anyway... And how are you going to put me upside down by a fire? I don't think this vase was meant to be hung from the ceiling, after all..."
>"Or I could have you hold onto the bed in the guest room while I try to pull the vase off of you.">"Um... Okay... Let's try that first..."
> Try to lift the vase. If we can, carry the vase and Kogasa back into the Guest room.>You attempt to pick up the vase, and manage to do so with difficulty.
>Set Kogasa and the vase down gently on the ground.>You do so.
>"Hold on, you and the vase are kinda heavy. I'm not sure I can even hold the vase and get you out.">"Oh..." Kogasa frowns, "Do does that mean we're going to have to do that other plan..."
>We should probably consider a miracle. But what would be useful?>A miracle could work, but you have no idea about what use it would have right now... You might have to improvise if you can't think of something.
>We are NOT using faith on this purple eggplant.>But then again, this is Kogasa we're talking about. It isn't worth it to waste faith on her.
>Pray for any sort of liquid, I can't find the bathroom sink around here...>Opens Wardrobe. "SNAAAAAAKEEEE!!!"
>Hey, while we're back here, we can check that wardrobe.
>Surely Satori has some sort of lotion, he skin is so nice!
>Pray for any sort of liquid, I can't find the bathroom sink around here...
>Opens Wardrobe. "SNAAAAAAKEEEE!!!">"There's a snake in the wardrobe!?!" you hear Kogasa shout in surprise.
>...>"Then why did you scream SNAAAAAKE at the top of your lungs? Were you trying to shatter the vase with your voice or something?"
>"Kogasa, you do realize that one of my goddesses has a snake in a lot of imagery relating to her. I'm even wearing one in my hair. I'm not afraid of snakes."
//Oh dear, it seems I've gotten mixed up, I thought Kogasa screamed snake in an attempt to scare me by claiming there was a snake in the wardrobe ^^;>"Reminiscing...?"
>"Uhhh, just "reminiscing", don't mind me."
>"Yes, about... something">You search the wardrobe again.
>"Anyway, let's see what's in here..."
>Search the wardrobe.
>Investigate the vase & Kogasa more. There's gotta be an important detail we're missing...>You examine the vase and the trapped Kogasa.
>"I've still got no idea how to get you out of there, nor do I know how you got in so easily.">"Well there was that other plan you mentioned a while back... I still have no idea how you'd pull that off though."
>Wait, if she got IN the vase using gravity, maybe she can get OUT using gravity as well!>Eureka!
>Flip the vase upside-down if I can hold it up like that.>You rush over to the vase and pick it up, you attempt to flip it upside down.
>Is she out of the vase?>No.
>"Uhh, I was just thinking that if you got into the vase downward, that you could get out of the vase downward as well?">"Well couldn't you have found a way to keep the vase in the air? That really hurt..." she rubs her nose, "I think you almost broke my nose..."
>I mean, it was kind of funny.>You were tempted to burst out laughing back there...
>"Umm, the vase is pretty heavy, I don't know how that'd work.">"You'll think of something..."
>Wait, if she got in with her legs first, maybe she can get out with her legs first!>It's possible, but you doubt she has enough space in the vase to turn around in.
>Is there enough space for her to turn around in? Access your inner cat physics, Kogasa!
>"Oh, if we put something slippery on the umbrella, you should get slippery as well, right?">"It... doesn't quite work that way... sure, I can feel pain and temperature through the umbrella, but anything that's actually physically applied to the umbrella, like a liquid, won't transfer to me. I'll only feel the drop in temperature... it's... kinda hard to explain it in detail..."
>We still need to find>Even if it won't work if you apply it to the umbrella, finding something to use as a lubricant would still make this much easier.Satori's lotion orsomething.
>"I don't know. Maybe you'll have to stay like this until we can get time to safely get you out.">"No! Don't leave me like this! It's starting to get uncomfortable in here..."
>"There's always plan C! We just ask that Oni we fought earlier to pull you out.">"And risk getting a beating? Yeah... let's not do that. I mean, she nearly creamed you earlier..."
>"I'd appreciate it if you'd stop pairing us together. Anyways, have you apologized to Parsee yet?">You turn to Koishi and speak.
>"How do we look anything close to perfect?">"Wouldn't you like to know..."
>"Ugh, just get the butter.">"Alright then. I'll be back before you can learn to pronounce lopadotemachoselachogaleokranioleipsanodrimhypotrimmatosilphioparaomelitokatakechymenokichlepikossyphophattoperisteralektryonoptekephalliokigklopeleiolagoiosiraiobaphetraganopterygon!"
>Copy pasting actually counts as pronouncing/saying it in text games*.
>>"I can't, I have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia!"
>Stand the Vase and Kogasa back up. Then sit on the bed.>You stand the
>"So this means you'll owe me for saving your butt from freezing and from helping you out of that vase you somehow got in.">"Yeah... It seems I'm owing you for a lot of things today..."
>"Not really. You just stayed at my shrine and pretty much mooched off of us while Suwako took care of you.">"Oh... Well, I guess now's as good a time as ever so... um... thanks..."
"Yeah, it's been tough today. Saving 3 people just in the nick of time... Was it really worth getting stuck in that vase, just to surprise me?">"Well I did finally manage to surprise you... so yes... I guess it was worth it."
"Well, does that mean your done trying to surprise me?">"Maaaaaaybeee..."
>Grab butter.>You grab the stick of butter.
>"So uh...you can do this yourself... right?">"I think so..." Kogasa replies.
>"Here. Don't screw up and break her vase.">"I'll try not to."
>Hand Kogasa the butter.
>"I'm going to go see what Koishi wants.">"Alright."
>Head for the room Satori was held in.
>Now there's gonna be butter all over the vase...>Well, at least the vase won't be broken....
>One of the pets will thank us, I'm sure.
>"Are you feeling better now?">"Huh? Well I'm certainly relieved to know my sister is going to be-"
>"It's alright. I'm glad I could help.">You find a spare chair near the bed and sit down.
>Locate spare chair.
>"Thanks for the butter Koishi. And for helping get Eirin here... And for saving us earlier.">"It was nothing." Koishi replies, "I actually should thank you for convincing old-snake-lady to let us bring that doctor down here... I don't think Satori would've made it if it wasn't for that... That's actually what I wanted to see you about. Can you come with me for a bit?"
>"Sure. And Lady Kanako isn't that old...I think.">"I'll be back in a little bit, Satori. Will it be alright being alone for a few minutes?"
>Follow>You follow Koishi out of the room and up a nearby staircasethat little rock.Koishi
>"So, is this a good surprise, or a>"It depends on your perception. Sometimes surprises are seen as good. Sometimes they're seen as bad."Kogasabad one?"
>Koishi is also way more useful than Kogasa as a sidekick, if slightly more painfully honest.>If you had to choose, you'd choose Koishi over Kogasa any day...
>"Are all of these your souvenirs?">"Yep. Do you like them?"
>Look out the window.>You walk over to the window and look out.
>"They're nice, I guess. Your bed looks really large and comfortable too.">"Thanks!" Koishi replies, "Okay, turn around."
>"Uh, okay.">You turn around.
>Turn
>"Thank you. But, you probably shouldn't have taken this from Reimu, of all people. It looks like something important.">"It probably wasn't that important. I mean, I took it over a year ago... And when I found it it was buried under tons of junk and collecting dust. Besides, she never showed any sign of noticing that it was gone. I mean, if she really wanted it back she would've taken it back by now... wouldn't she?"
>Take it.>You take the odd staff.
>"If this was something Reimu had, then it's probably something dangerous or powerful.">"Well if it's powerful, maybe it can help you! And aren't all dangerous things powerful and vice versa? I don't think it's dangerous, though, I mean the only time it ever hurt me was when I tried to peel that ugly paper off, but even then it was only a mild shock... Maybe you can touch it without it zapping you...? I don't know. Maybe if you can't find anything to do with it you can sell it for something. I mean it looks pretty valuable..."
>"I really think that's a bad idea. These things are usually put on certain objects or places to ward off spirits. Who knows what could happen if I remove it?">"It can't be that bad... I mean, if it was really meant to ward off spirits, then why does it only react if I try to remove it? I mean, If I wanted to protect something, I'd make sure people couldn't even get close to it..."
>"Maybe we should ask Lady Kanako about it.">"We?"
>"It could be a tool Reimu once used. Well, we won't know unless we try. If anything bad happens, warn Lady Kanako.">"I will."
>Try to take off the ofuda.>You attempt to peel off the ofuda...
>"I didn't know it'd come off so easily. What's it doing!?">"I have no ide-" is all you manage to hear before the staff begins glowing uncontrollably and you are enveloped in a while light.
>"Koishi?">Nobody answers you.
>Examine the staff.>It's no longer glowing. It appears to be just as lifeless as it was when it had the ofuda attached to it.
>See who's voice that is.>You turn around and notice a Green Haired woman on a hill looking down at you. She's wearing a dark-blue outfit, and a pointed hat with a yellow sun-like pattern on it. But her most striking feature are her legs... well she actually doesn't have any legs... In place of her legs is what appears to be a transparent, ghost-like tail. It kinda reminds you of Youmu's phantom half.
>Graze the familiar attack.>You graze flawlessly and get closer to the mysterious woman.
>"Great, I must be asleep again. Last time blood orbs, this time, ghost Marisa.">"Huh!?! Did you just... call me Marisa!?! But... my hallucinations never call me something I'm not..." the mysterious woman stops attacking and flies closer to you, "You're... You're a real person aren't you...?"
>>Oh the lack of humanity!
"Well that's because I am real. I swear you attack the same way as Marisa-er, someone I know. Who are you anyways?">"Who am I? Who am I!? WHO AM I!?!" She exclaims, "I am the one who would rule the world with an iron fist! I am the one who would've taken revenge on humanity! I am a vengeful spirit driven insane by years of isolation! ...But you may call me Mima..." she frowns, "And there's that name again... Marisa... I knew a Marisa once... Anyway, you don't know how glad I am to see another, real, person." tears begin to form in her eyes, "I haven't had anybody to talk to in years!"
>"Spirit huh. I take it you were sealed in this rod then, right?">"No. I wasn't sealed in there... I was trapped here by a shrine maiden. If I was sealed in it, we wouldn't be here, would we? No. That staff is actually something I lost a long time ago. That loathsome shrine maiden shattered it with her yin-yang orb... It also just so happens to be my only way out of this forsaken hell-hole. So, if you would be so kind. I'd like to have it back." Mima holds out her hand.
>"Shrine Maiden and yin-yang orbs. You're definitely talking about Reimu. And if Reimu put you here, she must've had a good reason for it. And that 'vengeful spirit whom would've ruled the world and taken revenge on humanity' talk doesn't seem that nice. Not to mention were already going through struggles at the moment.">Mima clenches her fists.
>"Right now, Gensokyo's a freezing land, probably in worse condition than here. If I give you this staff, you're staying with me and helping me resolve the incident going on, got it?">"Me, helping to resolve an incident? Man, I haven't done that since that whole Makai fiasco- how many years ago was that...?- Ah, forget it, I've lost track... Anyway, that idea doesn't really appeal to me, either. I already know you know the Hakurei Shrine maiden, or at the very least know of her... How do I know you won't just immediately turn me in to her? Oh, and I also don't think you realize that you're in no position to bargain. You see, that staff is pretty much the only way in an out of this realm, and in its current state, it's completely useless without its missing piece, which I just so happen to have. Besides, I doubt you even know how to use that thing properly..."
>Don't give her the staff just yet.>You don't give her the staff.
>"Well, I'm avoiding her for reasons as well at the moment. Turning you in wouldn't benefit ether of us, and I'm sure she doesn't have time to fight with you anyways. I'm also fairly confident that I could figure out how to use it given enough time, but to make things quicker...">Mima smirks.
>"Wait. How do I know you won't just leave me here?"
>"Alright. I'll try to convince Reimu to back off if you two meet on bad terms, and if push comes to shove, I'll do my best to stop her, or at the very least, stall her.">Mima takes the staff from your hands.
>Give Mima the rod.
>Follow Mima>You begin following Mima towards the blue structure in the distance.
>"So, about how you used similar attacks as Marisa. I'm curious about your relation with her?">"Similar attacks, eh? Hmph. It warms my heart to know that dirty traitor still uses my teachings even after backstabbing me all those years ago..."
>"Oh don't worry, she's using a bunch of other people's techniques and giving them her own flavor all the time. I fear she might take mine too.">"Really now? How disappointing, I had hoped that she'd perfect her own style of magic eventually... Oh well, at least she's still using what I taught her, meaning she hasn't forgotten about me, even after her betrayal..."
>"Ah, I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Kochiya Sanae. I'm the wind priestess of the Moriya Shrine.">"Moriya Shrine? What's that? Is that a new Shrine? Sorry for asking, but I've sorta been out of the loop for the past... I forget how many years it's been... in case you couldn't tell..."
>"It's sort of my Shrine. We came here recently and tried to gain followers across all of Gensokyo, but she wasn't going to lot that continue.">"She? Are you talking about Reimu?"
>"So you were Marisa's teacher, but she betrayed you? How so?">"Yes, Marisa was indeed my apprentice..." she pauses, "Her betrayal happened the day I was sealed in here... Though, in all honesty, I'd been seeing signs of it for quite a while before it happened. I just never thought she'd go through with it... It's all that Hakurei's fault. Ever since those two first met, she's been poisoning Marisa's mind, gradually warping her against me... until... well.. she finally turned on me..." Mima goes silent for a few moments, "It's funny. If she hadn't turned against me... I probably wouldn't even be here. The shock of her betrayal... it was what made me lower my guard just enough for Reimu to land the decisive blow..."
>"Well, I don't know your motivations, but the 'revenge against humanity' thing might be pretty persuasive in turning humans against you.">"Well, perhaps that was a factor in her betrayal..." Mima says as she pushes the door open, "But I doubt it. I mean, of all people, Marisa, the only person who was close to me, should've known that she would've been exempt from my revenge, shouldn't she?"
>"Well, if you proclaim revenge for what ever reason on all of humanity, humans might take that the wrong way. If you didn't tell her that she wasn't included, she probably didn't pick up on it. She's a very straightforward person; tacit implications don't really sit well with her.">Mima remains silent as the two of you enter the structure. The two of you are now in a large hall.
>Like all those love interests, or maybe they were just rumors?>You honestly don't know if they're rumors or not.
>"I think it's because Marisa's been fixated on her, probably competition wise. Ever since I got to Gensokyo, they talked about each other in a sort of rival-ly way.">"Well, good for them..." Mima says sarcastically.
>"Nothing really, my leg got struck by lightning."
>"Most of the people, save for most of the humans, can fly. We still walk when casual, but that's unrelated. I'm just flying because I was struck by lightning on my leg, and it's probably still numb.">"Oh, so nothing's really changed... And you say your leg is numb. Well... I happen to know a spell that can help with that..."
>Shrug.
>Check leg.>You shrug and check your leg.
>"Is there really no one else here?">"Nope. Just me, my hallucinations, and the inanimate objects I have tea parties with!" she pauses, "And don't bother asking why I have tea parties with inanimate objects... Let's just say spending years alone in isolation isn't really good for your mind, if you know what I mean..."
>"How long have you been here anyway?">"I don't know. Not because I lost count, but because I stopped caring after the fifth or sixth year... But I know it's definitely less than twenty... Perhaps less than fifteen? And I doubt that they'd become tsukumogami. Don't I have to abandon them for that to happen?"
>"Well, if you were for 100 years, those Inanimate objects might become Tsukumogami."
>"About that spell...">"Certainly."
>"Ow! Yes, I can feel it now. Ugh.>"Good! Now get back on your feet, we're almost there."Raggaflaggin black magic."
>Stand and resume following Mima.>You do so.
>"Is that REALLY how that works?!">"How what works?"
>"The magic, you have to punch me?">"No, but I forgot the proper way to do it. Besides, my way is quicker, and more fun."
>"I might take you up on that offer, had a long day already. I had to help a karakasa out of a vase, and I don't even like her.">"A karakasa in a vase... Sounds hilarious... It's like a giant umbrella-holder."
>Well, I didn't know hanging a shrine maiden was traditional tea party standard.>You find the obvious caricature of Reimu quite odd as a tea party standard, but then your remember that the woman next to you not only hates Reimu, but she's obviously gone insane at least once...
>"Then again, it's probably no good anymore if it's been saved for years." (The alcohol)>"Nonsense! Alcohol improves with age! It's going to be awesome!"
>Check the picture. "What's this of?">The two of you reach the fireplace.
>"I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with Youkai in a land apart..."
>"Do you think you two could be friends again, or something if you stopped all this vengeance business?">"Friends? I'm sorry, but the two of us were more then just mere friends... You see, she was like a daughter to me... The two of us were practically family... Perhaps that is why I eventually forgave her for what she did to me, despite what she did to me... Anyway, I'm not sure if we could ever meet on friendly terms again... Even if I forgive her, I honestly doubt she'll be happy to see me..."
>"I'm sure that if you explain to her about not wanting to exterminate everyone, she might want to hang out again...maybe.">"Perhaps you are right... But still, I doubt it would work..." Mima grabs the bottle of sake, "Do you want to take me up on my offer? If so, would you rather do it now, or after we get back to Gensokyo?"
>"No thank you. Maybe when things have died down some more I can enjoy myself.">"Alright, suit yourself." Mima shrugs, before stowing the bottle away, "Anyway, let's get out of here!"
>"Okay, I'm ready."
>"You're not gonna hit me again, are you?">"What? No! The only thing getting punched this time is the edge of this realm. I'm going to use my staff to make a hole in it, then we can pass through Genmukai to get back to Gensokyo..."
>"...Ookay?">"...So are you ready to go? Or do you need me to run that by you one more time?" Mima asks, "I'm only asking because you sound confused..."
>"Never heard of Genmukai or punching holes in realms, but let's just get this done with.">"Alright, then come with me." Mima quickly snatches the picture frame out of your hands and stows it in the same place on her dress that she stored the sake bottle, "We have to get to the edge of the realm."
>Continue following Mima>"If you mean Gensokyo, then yes." Mima leads you back into the hallway.
>"Are we going to end up at the same place before I was brought here?"
>"Just a warning, it's very cold in Gensokyo right now.">"Well, at least it'll better then it is here in Reimaden... At least Gensokyo is a stable realm that was meant to last a long period of time..."
>"I don't know your personal experiences with Reimu, but nobody deserves this kind of isolation.">"Thank you for your sympathy... Though I bet she thought I deserved it..."
>"Oh dear, how long do you think this place has left?">"Oh, it probably has about five years or so left... Then the Reimaden's core will rip the realm apart, and what's left will be absorbed into Genmukai."
>"Reimu and I are rivals too, being from different shrines and all. We're on okay terms though, but she can be kind of a jerk sometimes.">"By jerk, I think you mean bitch..." Mima snarks, before remaining silent for a few moments, "So, how much better is your shrine than hers? I want to know."
>She is very, very good at her job though...>If anything, Reimu takes her job very seriously... You reminisce on how much it hurt when she beat you up for the first time..
>Which occasionally includes beating me up.
>"Well, my shrine gets more faith, and my goddesses, Kanako Yasaka and Suwako Moriya, actually talk to our followers. We get more donations too!">"That's funny. I bet Hakurei is really struggling with you guys around... She's still poor, right? Please tell me she's still broke as hell!"
>Bragging rights, Moriya's got 'em.>You feel a smug grin creep across your face.
>"Well, if you wanna put it that way, she's broke in money and faith">"HA! That's hysterical! And you guys are still around?! Wow. I'd imagine someone like her would declare all out war on you for starving her shrine of badly needed attention."
>Starting to like this Mima gal.>You're definitely beginning to warm up to her a bit.
>"Well, that is one big shield...">"It's not a shield... It's the edge of Reimaden." Mima explains, "And behind it is Genmukai. We'll have to pass through quickly, so once I open a hole, you need to stay close... Unless, of course, you want to end up in Makai or the Dream World instead..."
>"Carry me pls?"
>"I'll try to. I don't want to know what happens if I get stuck in either of those places.">"But then again you might not end up in either of those places... You might just end up lost, floating in there until you either die of exhaustion or they get you... But anyway, just stay close to me and you'll be fine."
>Get close.>You get close to Mima as the two of you fly through the hole.
>But not too close.
>so tsun
>"I feel like I've been here before...">"You do...? How so?"
>"In a dream, or a nightmare I guess. Really cryptic and terrifying, spinning yin-yang orbs came from the walls and some abstract voice was saying stuff about me and my goddesses.">"Oh, then you probably did come here then. The boundary between this world in the Dream World is the most chaotic and unstable thing you'll ever see, believe me, I've seen it... Perhaps that's why people tend to confuse this world with the Dream World... Anyway, those yin-yang things you mentioned are the reason we want to pass through here as quickly as possible... The entities that live here really don't like foreigners..."
>"They've also been showing up in Gensokyo, is that normal?">"They shouldn't be... They can't maintain their forms properly outside this realm... They'll just crumble apart... Are you sure we're talking about the same yin-yang things? Spherical black and white, or sometimes pure red, things that look like a mesh of blood vessels?"
>Fly a little faster.>The two of you increase in pace.
>"Oh, no. They look similar, but not nearly as, uh, veiny.">"Yeah, then what you're seeing in Gensokyo is probably not even related to those things..."
"How much longer?">"We're about halfway there... Oh look, there's the response team, right on schedule..."
>"Unkillable? Really? That's kind of broken...">"Hey, don't ask me. I'm not the one who made them... Maybe you should ask the... thing... that rules over this realm about it, but if I recall, it isn't much for conversation... No. It would rather destroy whatever it perceives as being either infectious to its 'perfect' world, or bringing imbalance to one or more of the worlds it's attached to... Man, speaking of it, you should've seen how pissed it was at me when I made Reimaden! It just screamed at me about how it 'disrupted the balance of the realms' or something like that, and then proceeded to hound me every time I tried to pass through here... At least it finally shut up after Hakurei wounded it..."
>"You made Reimaden?!">"Well, yeah... I used my staff to create it. It was meant to be a temporary pocket dimension from which I would have launched my assault on humanity from..."
>"So I don't have to worry about what it said about my goddesses and I being a disruption to' the balance'?">"Well, I wouldn't know. Usually if it sees something as an imbalance, it gets really pissed... And I mean really, really pissed... Though I don't think it can do much outside of this realm... It might find a way, though... It is quite resourceful... And intelligent..."
>"How did Reimu trap you here anyway?">"Well, long story short, it was one of my plots to take my revenge on humanity, and things were starting to go badly, so I opened a portal to Reimaden so I could catch my breath and think of a new plan... And then Marisa betrayed me, which gave Reimu just enough time to break my staff, the only way in and out of Reimaden, and kick me through my portal..." Mima chuckles, "...Ironic, is it not? That the one place I created ends up being my prison..."
>The lack of an emergency exit is apalling...>This is why, should anyone ever go down the path of villainy, one should always make an escape tunnel for their evil lair.
>"That really sucks...">"Gee? You think?"
>"I sure hope whatever lives here never gets out, but I feel like that's just asking for trouble. If worse comes to worst, Reimu will probably be able to handle it.">"Yeah, probably, I mean, she managed to wound it before... Though, I swear when she confronted me just moments afterwards, she was trembling. It was quite odd of her, she never acts like that after facing an enemy..."
>"Reimu must've really done a number on it to shut it up huh. It was impossible for me to get a second of silence when it started talking.">"Yeah, it must've been some good injury she gave it, too... I didn't see it for at least a year afterwards..."
>"I sure hope that white sphere up there is something we want to be seeing.">"Of course it's what we want to be seeing!" Mima exclaims, "That's Gensokyo!"
>"Well how am I supposed to know that a big glowy sphere is Gensokyo?">"Okay, you have a point there..."
>"Let's just leave this creepy place.">"Yes, lets!"
>Fly faster before the plot kicks in.
>"Fly faster before the plot kicks in!"
>"There's no guarantee we'll be fine!?">"I said don't think about it!" you hear Mima yell as the two of you enter the vortex.
>"Uh, this is someone who really, really doesn't like Reimu.">"I'm Mima, nice to meet you." says Mima, "I hear you guys are enemies of Hakurei as well?"
>I'll let her introduce herself.
>"And this is also the only reason I actually made it back here...">"Really?" Kanako asks.
>"My leg's all better now too. I guess I should tell Koishi I'm alright...">"Well that's good to hear... And yes, you should go tell her that you're alright. And while you're at it, tell Utsuho to get back here."
>"Alright, Mima, you wanna see the place?">"Sure, I have nothing better to do..."
>Go find Koishi and Utsuho.>You leave the reactor observation room with Mima and make your way back to the foyer. Where will you go first?
>Out of curiosity, check on Kogasa.>You make your way to the guest room and open the door.
>"I really am confused as to how you got in there.">"Does it really matter how I got in here?" Kogasa replies, "Could you uh... pull me out of here... or something... I can't get a grip on the vase, my hands are too slippery from the butter..."
>"Mima, can you help the poor girl, she's been in there for a while...">Mima is currently leaning on the doorframe, laughing hysterically, "AHAHAHAHAHA!! -Sorry I -AHAHAHAHAHAHA! - I just can't stop- HAHAHAHAAHA!"
>Actually starting to feel pity.>You... Actually feel pity for the poor karakasa...
>"Alright, arms up.">Kogasa holds up her arms. You wrap yours around her and begin pulling with all your might.
>Attempt to pull the karakasa free.
>Maybe as a gift for Kogasa, I can have her around when if Reimu meets Mima again, because I get the feeling Reimu is going to lose her shit.>Giving her a gift is the least you could do, considering how much she's suffered... You consider giving her a front row seat in case Mima and Reimu ever encounter each other, so she can watch Reimu go ballistic. But as you continue to think about it, you wonder if this would even appeal to her...
>Pull again.>You grab onto Kogasa's wrists and pull.
>Pretty sure Reimu would be very surprised.>She'll probably like it since Reimu's being surprised...
>"WAIT, IT ISN'T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!!">Orin slams the door shut.
>"Uhh, Satori will understand... I hope.">"heh heh heh... ahhhh.... Alright... Thanks for the heads up."
>"Oh, Mima, a mind reader lives here. So if you have a ton of super ancient evil secrets you don't want anyone to know, don't hang around her for too long."
>"So, I'm pretty sure what just happened left you pretty satisfied, Kogasa?">"S-Satisfied!?!"
>"Wait, not like that!">"Too late, you already said it..." Kogasa blushes, "Well... Um... This certainly feels awkward..."
>"Get off!" Toss Kogasa off of us already.>You unceremoniously toss Kogasa to the floor.
>"Wait!" go after Orin.>You bolt out of the bed and fling open the door. You spot Orin walking towards the room Satori is in. You immediately chase and quickly catch up to her.
>"Nothing started! I was just helping her out of the vase. The reason we were...like that, was because she somehow couldn't get herself free with the butter and I fell pulling her out. There was nothing else going on...">"Are you sure...?"
>"What do you mean 'Am I sure'?>"I just wanted to make sure that's really what was going on in there... I honestly had no idea how to interpret what I saw... And who was that ghost lady, anyway?"
>"Kogasa got stuck in a vase trying to surprise me. We struggle for a while to free her before Koishi came and gave us butter to make it easier. I assumed Kogasa could free herself, so I left and...stuff happened. Then I came back with Mima to see that Kogasa was still stuck, but somehow got her shirt off. That's all that happened.">"Oh... Alright then..."
>Calm down.
>"Now I- I have to go apologize to Kogasa for something..."
>Head back.>You head back to to the Guest room. Kogasa is just finishing putting her shirt back on.
>"Sorry for throwing you off of me Kogasa... Are you alright?">"I'm fine. It's not the first time I've been dropped on the floor today..." Kogasa replies, "Ugh... Do you think they have a bathtub or something down here? I want to clean this butter off..."
//I'm watching the yaoi episode of South Park right now. This is hilariously relevant.//lol I remember that episode, it was great. XD
>"Yea, but it is the second time I dropped you...">"Maybe I can ask Koishi or something then..."
>"I doubt asking Orin would help. She'd probably think it's something different."
>"I'll admit I was surprised, but that was immensely embarrassing...Don't pull something like that again.">"I won't... It was a pretty embarrassing experience for me too..."
>I sure hope I don't delevop a fear of large ceramics from this...>That would be silly, yet serious at the same time... It wasn't until today that you realized how much of a deathtrap those things can be...
>"Uh, we should probably clean you up somehow.">"Nope. I never really bothered to learn cleaning magic. Sorry." Mima replies.
>"Mima, you got anything for this?"
>Stupid Sexy Kogasa
>"Ah, I got distracted and forgot to tell Okuu something."
>"If we find Koishi, or, knowing her, she finds us, then we should be able to find the bath and Okuu.">"Oh, alright, I guess I'll come with you for a bit then..." says Kogasa, "If you don't mind..."
>"Well I'm not just going to leave you here.">The three of you exit the room.
>Motion for her to follow.
>Exit the room, try to find Utsuho.
>"She does like to collect a lot of random things...">"I bet she doesn't even know what half of these things do..."
>She doesn't seem to be here, at least.>You are honestly uncertain if she's here or not. Thanks to her ability...
>"Koishiii">You call out, but receive no response.
>"When have you last seen them Kogasa?">"How am I supposed to know?!" Kogasa asks, "I was in that vase for about twenty minutes until you came back..."
>Head back. Also, retrieve our winter clothes and put them in our hammerspace sleeves.>You backtrack to the guest room and grab your winter clothes, still neatly folded in a pile, from the nightstand and stuff them into your sleeves.
>Put Mima there too.
>"Maybe we should just ask Orin...">"Yeah." Kogasa agrees, "Maybe she knows where the bath is..."
>Didn't she head off toward Satori?>You are pretty sure she did.
>Go find Orin.>You make your way to the room Satori is being kept in.
>"Um, Kogasa wants to know where the bath is, and I need to tell Okuu something, if you don't mind.">"Certainly. Just head upstairs and to the right." Orin replies.
>"Alright, thanks.">You follow Orin out of the room. She leads you past the guest room and the three of you continue down the hallway. Eventually you end up in a kitchen, sitting on a counter appears to be a large hunk of meat. A portion has already been carved off. There are also a couple of pots sitting on a stove, but you can't tell what's in them from here.
>Follow Orin.
>Make sure Mima didn't fall out of out sleeves.
>"What kind of meat is that?">"It's my famous mystery meat." Orin replies as she grabs a couple of plates from a nearby cupboard, "It's a slab of meat by putting the meat of a bunch of random animal corpses from the surface together. Do you want to try a piece?"
>"DO I NEED TO REMIND YOU WHY YOU'RE IN GENSOKYO RIGHT NOW?"
>Insert a certain Old Spice commercial...
//Lol I knew it.>Smells like Terry Crews. (https://youtu.be/fU3jfk-O7L0?t=49s)
>"Uhh, I don't know.">"Well, I'll cut off a small piece for you if you want to try it. I'll cut one off for your friend too."
>Hell, try a piece.Get it? HELL?!
>"Hey, you mind if we have some? I haven't eaten all day.">"Certainly. There's plenty to go around!" Orin replies, as she loads the plates onto a tray and carries them towards the pots on the stove, "Just grab a plate from the cupboard and bring it over. My hands are a bit full right now."
>Who would have thought a cat was good at cooking?>Only in Gensokyo would such a thing be possible...
>Get a plate from the cupboard.>You walk over to the cupboard and retrieve a plate.
>Punch my computer.
>Give Mima a plate.>You hand Mima a plate.
>Anticipate delicious cat cooking.>The two of you carry your plates over to he counter. Orin comes over, takes them from you, and cuts off a hunk of meat for each of you.
>"I'll take a bit of both, surely they're as good as this!">"Yeah, I'll take some too." Mima chips in.
>Eat and walk. This food is>As you follow Orin back down the hallway, you begin to devour the culinary perfection that is Orin's cooking.gr8 m8 I deb8 and concentr8 to r8 8/8good.
>"Mima, do you even have a butt anymore?">"What kind of stupid question is that!?! Of course I..." she thinks for a moment "Huh... You know what? I actually don't really know... I mean I guess I technically have- wait. WHY THE HELL ARE WE TALKING ABOUT MY ASS!?!"
>I get the feeling this isn't the first time she has been named as such.>If you were to guess, Reimu or somebody else probably called her that at least once before she was sealed away...
>Shit>This could end badly...
>"Uhh, Mima! Do you know what an atomic bomb is? Because you're provoking one right now!">"An ah-taw-me-WHAT!?!" Mima responds.
>"One shot from that cannon would kill us all, please just calm down!">"Joke's on you! I'm already dead!" Mima exclaims, "...But luckily for you, I need you for protection."
>"Hey Koishi, could you be a little more polite. Mima here is very sensitive about her phantom posterior, so please lay off a bit. Not to mention she's a special guest, I would've basically been dead if it weren't for her.">"Oh, okay..." Koishi replies, "I'm sorry..."
>>Check to see if Mima actually has a butt.My Kanakonda don't want none unless she got buns hun.
>"Thank you.">"Unyu? She does? OH YEAH! THEY STILL NEED ME THERE! Well, I guess I don't need to comfort Koishi anymore, so I'm just going to head back! See ya!"
>"Hey Okuu, Lady Kanako wanted you to return to the other room."
>Continue eating.>You continue to enjoy delicious cat cooking.
>"This is really, really good Orin. I should come down here to eat more.">"Really? You think so? Well, I'm flattered, but I wouldn't say I'm that talented..." Orin smiles.
>"I'll have to check up on Kogasa soon.">"Why? Are you worried about her? Did she get trapped in another vase? Are you going to have another moment with her? Is she still in that vase? Does she want more butter? Do you just want to see her? Is she causing trouble? Is she in trouble? Why?" Koishi asks.
>"Another mom-Wait, nothing happened there, okay? I'm just going to see if she's fine because if she gets into trouble, it'll be my fault for bringing her here. And why are you so intrested? Are you jealous I'm not spending as much time around you?">"Okay. And why would I be jealous about that?"
>"Well you're always asking so many question and- nevermind.">"No. Not really." Mima replies.
>"So, any preference on what you want to do before we check up on Kogasa, Mima?"
>"On second though, maybe we should leave her alone for now. Don't want anything else weird happening.">"Yeah, I was about to say..." says Mima, "I mean she was going to take a bath, right? What were you going to do, peep on her?"
>"By the way Orin, where'd Eirin go after she finished with Satori?">"She's around..." Orin replies, "I know for a fact that she hasn't left the Palace, though. So don't worry."
>"I would NOT do that!">"So what would've you done?" Mima smirks.
>"Throw you in there, because you probably haven't bathed in years." Smirk back.>"At which point, I'd say I was there to deliver a message from you, and say something embarrassing." she returns the smirk with double intensity.
>OHHHH SICK BURN!!>You are so good at burns! (?)
>Probably not a good idea to provoke an ancient and powerful spirit...
>Eh no worries. She knows we're kinda on her side.>If she wasn't your "ally" then provoking her would probably be a bad idea.
>"Eh? I guess you got me there.">Mima's expression changes to a smug grin.
>Man, Mima has no chill.>She probably has no chill in a metaphorical sense.
>Except she's dead, so she's probably physically chilled.
>"Tempura-butt - 1, Sanae - 0">"Gah! Y-You-!! Don't you start calling me that now!"
>Troll face.
>Jump on the troll patrol.>There is no "troll patrol" in this area, and therefore, you cannot jump on it.
>"Sorry, witty banter got the best of me.">"It's fine, just don't call me that again..."
>"We should probably check on Kanako, right after I finish this delicious meal.">"Kanako... Kanako... Was she that purple-haired lady I met when we got here? I never really learned her name."
>"See you later Koishi.">"Bye!" Koishi replies.
>Head for the reactor room.>You leave the balcony and begin to make your way towards the Reactor room.
>At least I have a butt...
>"Sorry. Everyone keeps thinking Kogasa and I are a couple when we're not. To answer your question, Lady Kanako is one of my Goddesses.">"So yes... she was the purple-haired lady I met when we got here... And that's funny, how people think the two of you are a couple. You know, the two of you remind me of a moment I had with Marisa a long time ago... You see, there was this girl Marisa and I met during the whole Makai fiasco. After we kicked her ass, I noticed the girl staring at Marisa as we were leaving, and so I teased Marisa that the two of them might make a good couple... Her reaction was priceless... She was so annoyed! Ahahaha~ ...What was that Makaian brat's name again, anyway...? It started with an 'Al' I know that... Let's see... Allie? Allison? Alaina? Alice...? Eh... It doesn't matter what her name was... The point is that that moment was hilarious! ...Though I wasn't kidding about the couple part, I could tell that the girl was at least a little interested in Marisa... Perhaps they actually would've made a nice couple under different circumstances..." she pauses, "So... What are you going to do once we get to Kanako?"
>"I've heard chat about an Alice, but I haven't got to meet them yet.">"Maybe that was the brat's name... Eh... Like I said, it doesn't matter."
>"Well, we still need to figure out what to do with you... If you go to the surface, your begging for Reimu to find you. Maybe not, due to the low visibility, but it's over if Aya catches sight of you.">"Who the hell is Aya?"
>"Someone you really, really don't want to meet. If she was here a minute or two ago, all of Gensokyo would probably start calling you Temp- er, that name.">"She sounds annoying. I hope I never meet her."
>"She's a Tengu 'news' 'reporter', by the way. And yes, she is obnoxious.">"Ugh. That sounds even worse... Again, I hope I never meet her."
>"Not really, we're just checking up in here. What was that all about?">"Don't worry about it. Just Utsuho coming up with a rather reckless and idiotic solution to our problem..." Kanako replies, "Anyway, I appreciate your concern, but we're fine for now. There isn't really anything you can help with here yet..."
>"Oh, alright..">"So... Now what?" Mima asks.
>I WANNA FEEL IMOROTANT, THIS IS "WIND PRIESTESS QUEST" AFTER ALL!
>I am mildly disappointed with the lack of nuclear physics I know.>If only you knew more about the subject, then maybe you could be more helpful here...
>"Not sure. Not really much I can do here. You got anything?">"Nope... Not really..." Mima replies.
>"I guess we can go back to the guest room. Unless you know anything about nuclear physics?">"Nope, sorry, all I know is cons, petty thievery, and magic. I never even heard of this 'new-klee-arr-fizz-icz' thing..."
>If not, head for the guest room we were in.
>"I suppose I should go back and not let her worry too much.">"Alright, but before you go, I have something I want to give you."
>But that then poses the problem of Mima being here...>You still haven't decided on what to do with Mima.
>Look at Kanako expectantly.>Kanako reaches into her pocket and holds out her hand.
>KappaTek Get! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPZXxlckBSs)>You take the cell phone from Kanako's hand.
>"This would definitely get a lot of faith, bringing something so convenient into Gensokyo!">"Yes, but I'm still not entirely sure if it would catch on..." Kanako replies, "Besides, it's untested at the moment... Oh, and don't lose that. These prototypes weren't cheap to make, you know?"
>>"Wait, doesn't Hatate already have a cellphone?"
>"Will the elevator be functional? And what do I tell Suwako-sama if she asks?">"I'm afraid not, Suwako might get suspicious if you used it, with it being on lockdown all day... You'll have to take the long way around, but Parsee has been instructed to allow you passage... As for Suwako, if she asks, just make something up... Improvise! I don't know... Say you haven't found any leads or something... And don't do anything that could make her suspicious, such as letting her see the phone..."
>"Okay Kanako-sama, I won't disappoint!">"I know you won't." Kanako smiles.
>"Should I take Kogasa back to the Shrine? If I leave her down here, she might get caught up in this.">"The less people know, the better, so yes, I'd rather you take her with you... Actually, before you do, exactly how much about this does she know?"
>"I haven't told her anything and as far as I know, she hasn't been here yet.">"Has she at least seen Satori? If so, does she know why she was in her condition?"
>"I don't believe she knows. She didn't seem that curious about it though.">"Well, if she starts asking questions, then it should be easy to come up with a cover story... Anyway, you should probably take her with you, lest she gets bored and starts snooping around."
>"Got it Lady Kanako. Take care!">"You too, Sanae."
>Run around andsearch for the bathroom, but don't touch that door.
>There's probably butter on the knob.>You head back, and, recalling the directions Orin gave Kogasa, you make your way towards the bathroom.
>Knock>You assertively pound on the door.
>"Kogasa, you in there?">"Yeah, I'm just finishing up, why?" you hear Kogasa's voice call from the other side.
>"Well, we're heading back to my shrine. Do you have everything you need?">"Well, a fresh change of clothes would be nice, so I don't have to re-wear these ones... but other then that, yeah, I have everything."
>"Also, there's butter on the doorknob. Get a towel or something for that.">"I know, I'll get to that..."
>...Do we... still have... our maid uniform? >:3>Yes. You do.
>"I got something you could wear. I'll leave it outside the door. Meet us back at the guest room.">"Okay..."
>Place Maid Outfit outside the door.>You take out the spare maid outfit you borrowed from the SDM and lay it by the door.
>"Alright Mima, we should go back to the guest room and make sure we've got everything.">"Well, I already have everything..." Mima smirks, "So it's mostly just to make sure you got everything... Am I right? ...Anyway, let's go."
>Head back to the guest room and wait for Kogasa.>You head back to the guest room with Mima.
>Look around again.>You look around.
>Equip shoes.>You put on your shoes. It would be silly to leave without them!
>Pick up the vase and place it in the corner.>You turn the buttery vase upright, and place it neatly in a corner.
>"She's not going to wear it. She'll stick to her old clothes...Then again, she got stuck In that vase somehow. Maybe I shouldn't have given it to her. Things will just get more awkward."
>"She's kinda cute in a really annoying clueless way. I bet her cheeks are going to be on fire when she comes in here, even if she doesn't wear it. What do you think Mima?">"Cute eh? I thought you said you didn't like her." Mima smirks, "But yeah, it's going to be hilarious when she comes in here..."
>"Just because I don't like her personality doesn't mean I don't like how she looks. Her she's are different colors and she wears teal, that's adorable.">"So what you're saying is... that you don't like her personality... But you find her attractive..."
>"What? No! I find her cute, that's different. It's not like I'm gonna marry her or something."
>Tsanaere>
>"It's...It's like how people view pets. I might have wanted to just keep her in the vase because of how it looked. Kinda like a kitten trying to fit in a bowl.">"So you wanted to take her home with you." Mima chuckles, "You aren't really helping your case."
>"If she wasn't so focused on surprising people I'd probably like her...maybe">"So you admit that you're at least a little bit attracted to her."
>That IS how she survives, so I can't really hold it against her.>It really isn't fair though, to judge someone based on what they do to survive...
>It'd help if she were any good at it...>But it's okay to judge them if they're terrible enough at said task that they become annoying to the people around them.
>"Well, maybe I would be if she wasn't so damn annoying.>Mima chuckles, "Heh heh heh... This is like Marisa and that Makai brat all over again..."
>Turn.>You turn and see Kogasa. She's wearing the maid outfit, and her face is red.
>"Oh my god ohmygod ohmygod she wore it!">You will yourself to not laugh.
>Hold in laughter.
>Fail to not blush.>Even though you were able to hold in your laughter, you were unable to prevent yourself from blushing at the sight of Kogasa.
>"Uh, *giggle*, yeah Mima and I *giggle* ate some food *giggle* that Orin made.">"Oh... Okay..."
>"Yes that's all I had. Don't worry, it looks really good on you.">"That's a lie and you know it!"
>"You look cute-I mean good in it. What did you do with your clothes?">"Um... what!?!" you swear Kogasa's face grows redder for a split second, "Um... Anyway... I stuffed them in my umbrella..."
>"Well, the only other things I had were my winter outfit, which I kinda need, and...my clothes. I'm pretty sure you'd rather wear that than my clothes...">"Okay... Can we... just go now?"
>"Sorry for not having anything else. You could probably just get new clothes back on the surface.">"It's... fine..."
>Head out with our trio.>You leave the room with Mima and Kogasa.
>"By the way Kogasa, I'm curious. Where do you even live? Surely people are worried about where you've been all this time right?">"I live about halfway up Youkai Mountain..." Kogasa replies, "And people wouldn't worry about me. I live alone."
>Probably, like, an entire umbrella rack is concerned about her well being!>You almost chuckle at your internal joke, but you resist it.
>"What? No! Why would we need plates, and that's just rude!">"Then why are we still carrying them?"
>Do we have anything left on our plate?>You have a little bit of meat left on your plate. You don't know how warm it is though.
>If so. "Want some Kogasa? It's Orin's cooking and it's really good.">"Yes, please. I haven't eaten anything all day..."
>"Oh..."
>Look for the Kitchen.>You make a u-turn and start heading in the direction of the kitchen.
>Eat a piece of meat, if it's warm, give the rest to Maid-chan.
>Hey, we should give the last of it to Kogasa. We've eaten well already.>You were about to cut off a small piece and put it in your mouth, but you thought it would be better to save more for the hungry karakasa.
>"If you keep pulling off amazing feats like that vase one, you might start getting better at surprising people. I bet you could get Reimu if we set up something like that.">"Really? You think so? ...Well as long as I don't get stuck in one again I guess..."
>"Hi Orin! We came to return your plates and silverware. I'm gonna have to come back for your cooking some day.">"Alright, just set them by the sink and I'll take care of it." Orin replies, "And you're welcome to come back any time!"
>"You finished Kogasa? And you Mima?">"Yep." Kogasa answers.
>Set the plates by the sink.>The three of you set your plates by the sink.
>"Okay, we're going.">"Alright, be careful and stay warm out there!" Orin calls as you leave.
>Continue back on the path out.
>Take out Winter clothes and equip them.>You stop mid-flight and equip your winter clothing.
>"Do you want a scarf or something? The maid outfit... doesn't...cover much.">"Sure..." Kogasa replies, "Hey, by the way... Where did you even get this maid outfit in the first place?"
>"Well, I was helping someone frozen in a lake from certain danger, when the ice gave way below me and I fell into it. She saved me, but my clothes were horribly drenched, so we went to the Scarlet Devil Mansion. There, Sakuya, the head maid, lent me a spare maid outfit, but it's really tight and uncomfortable to me.">"Wait... You wore this... before me...?"
>Give Kogasa our scarf.>You hand Kogasa your scarf.
>"Well, it beats having to borrow the clothing I'm always wearing, right?">"Well... yeah..."
>"Hey, have you ever played Truth or Dare Kogasa? I bet you'd love it, because it's perfect for you. We should play it sometime.">"No, I've never even heard of it. How's it played?"
>"Exactly as it sounds, more or less. One person asks the other 'truth or dare', then the other person chooses whether to give their honest opinion about something or do something the other asks them to do. The person who asked gets to choose what they have to do. It can be surprising to learn things about the other person or see them do interesting stuff.">"Huh, interesting..." Kogasa replies.
>"Let's try one, go ahead and ask me.">"Um... Okay... Uh... Truth or dare?" asks Kogasa.
>"I'll go with Truth.">"So... Uh... What do I say now?"
>"Well, you ask me if something is true or not, then I have to tell you the truth.">"Oh okay... Uh... Is it true that you fell into a frozen lake today?"
>"Yes, but I already told you that. Come on, you have to request better things.">"I'm sorry! I couldn't think of anything!"
>"Okay, my turn. Truth or Dare.">"Uh... Truth."
>"What were you thinking when we uh...fell?">"Oh... Uh... Well I uh.... I was thinking about how... um... awkward... it felt..."
>"Oh, that's all huh... Okay, I'll go with truth again. You have a better one right?">"But I haven't even asked the question yet! Okay... fine... um... were you really surprised when I surprised you earlier?"
>"Yes I was genuinely surprised. There's probably a few people in Gensokyo who can fit in a large vase like that, but you were one of the last ones I would've guessed. I also expected you to be hiding behind the vase, since you'd usually do that...">"Truth."
>"So, your turn now. Truth or Dare?"
>"Yup, unless you want to join?">"What's the point? It's a stupid game. Besides, what's there to stop somebody from either lying or refusing to do the dare?"
>"Is it true that Koishi came up with the plan for you to surprise me while invisible?">"I don't remember Koishi ever telling me a plan like that..." Kogasa answers.
>"Mima, just try it, it's really easy to get into. I'm sure it isn't that bad compared to being stuck alone for years.">"Ugh. Fine! If you insist." Mima replies, "Truth and or Dare...?"
>Let's give her what she wants.>"Okay." Mima smirks, "Before I say anything, if I dare you to do something, you absolutely have to do it, right?"
>"Dare."
>"Generally, yes. Just, don't go too overboard.">Mima puts on a sadistic smile.
>God damnit I knew it.>You somehow knew this was coming...
>Well, at least she's cute.>She's annoying yes, but cute. Especially in that maid outfit.
>"You are one sick perv, Mima. Well, Kogasa, pucker up!">Mima gives you a sinister grin.
>APPEASE THE SPIRITS>You grab Kogasa and give her a peck on the lips.
>Stare for a minute.>You stare at Kogasa.
>Hold on, wasn't that our first?>You do believe it was.
>"W-W-Who's turn isitnow?">"I-I don't know... Y-Yours I think..." Kogasa replies, "Um... S-Shouldn't we get going though... We still have a long way to go..."
>Continue flying.>The three of you continue flying.
>Examine Kogasa.>You glance at Kogasa.
>Continue flying>The three of you continue flying. You are over the bridge now.
>Examine Kogasa.>You glance at Kogasa once more.
>Make sure to examine Kogasa.>As the three of you enter the path to the surface, you gaze at Kogasa once more.
>"Hey, Kogasa, I...Are you alright. I mean, that outfit isn't that thick and it's probably still freezing out there...">"I... I'm fine for now." Kogasa replies.
>"Mima, sorry to keep asking this, but you got anything for the cold?">"Pffft. Do you really think I'll freeze to death?" Mima answers, "I'm already dead!"
>"Seriously? Out of all the magic you could know, you don't know anything that could create some heat?">"What? Why do you think that? Of course I know magic that does that!! It's ELEMENTARY magic. Even a complete idiot could do it! Why the hell would you assume that I, a powerful sorceress, wouldn't know it!?!"
>"Because I just asked if you had anything to help with the cold, and you didn't give me good reason to think you did.">"Well, when you asked that, I thought you were asking if I had a way to keep warm. Since you were literally just asking the karakasa if she was going to be okay in the cold... You should've spoken more clearly!"
>-_->Mima...
>"Why can't you be more like Piccolo and know clothes beam?"
>"Could you create a small fire or something so we won't have to travel in this sheer cold?">"Now see, if had asked that in the first place, we wouldn't be having this conversation!" Mima remarks before proceeding to summon a red orb of some kind, which starts begins to float in sync with the three of you and emit a warm aura.
>Head out.>The three of you exit the cavern. It's obviously nighttime now. It's very cold out, not to mention dark. Mima's red orb provides a bit of illumination, though.
>"Yes, Mima, Kogasa and I are very happy now.">"Good."
>Continue flying.>The three of you fly in the direction of Youkai Mountain.
>"Uhh, sorry, Mima. I was kinda rude. You probably know way more about magic and stuff than I do, I specialize in faith but I can't really use magic like elements and stuff. Thanks for the orb...">"It's fine... And you're welcome."
>"Any of you...see that. I've had enough fights for today, but someone might be in trouble fighting those annoying orbs."
>"Or somebody unsavory is stirring up trouble.">"Yeah, I see it." says Kogasa, "Should we... Should we investigate?"
>"Yeah, I feared that as well."
>"Let's just get to my shrine.">You ignore the light show and continue onwards.
>continue
>Ascend>You begin to fly up the mountain. It's starting to snow again, but it's light.
>"Hopefully Suwako-sama hasn't been bothered by anything recently.">"So... Exactly who is this Suwako I keep hearing about?" Mima asks, "Is she another priestess at your shrine?"
>"No, in fact, she's the other goddess of my shrine. Kanako hasn't said anything to her about what's going on, so don't mention the reactor or Kanako.">"Your shrine has two goddesses!?!" Mima exclaims, "And reactor, huh? So I'm guessing that was the dangerous looking thing I saw when we came back from Reimaden?"
>Crap, we can't pass it off as nothing because Kogasa will carelessly reveal it at some point.>Uh oh...
>"Oh.........So um, Kogasa, can I ask you something?">"What?"
>"If I tell you a secret, you have to promise not to mention anything about it, okay?">"Okay..."
>We already kissed her, so she'll probably be relieved to not hear "I love you." How badly could she take it?>You wonder how bad she would take it if you said "I love you..."
>Tsanaere>It's not like you like her or anything...
>"The reactor we're talking about was from the palace. It powers our shrine with electricity for things like the heater and television. Recently, we've tried to make more power from it. The result was...this freezing Gensokyo.">"Whoa... Wait. YOU GUYS CAUSED THIS INCIDENT!?!" she shouts.
>"So it's really, really important that you don't say anything about it. I can't express to you two how hazardous this could be for me if anything got out.">"..........Alright, your secret's safe with me. I promise."
>"Thanks Kogasa.">"You're welcome..."
>Continue the ascension.>You and your cohort continue to ascent Youkai Mountain.
>"Did Suwako-same permit you to make this igloo? It looks like it might get in the way...">"Nuh-uh! It won't get in the way! We built it off to the side! What are you, blind!?" The fairy replies, "Besides, frog-goddess-lady hasn't said anything about it, so I guess it's more okay!"
>"Well, you guys are still helping out, somewhat. Doesn't seem like anyone will come to pray here in the cold anyways. Just don't get carried away and build a whole village here.">"Huh? Why would we want to build a village... Wait. Green-haired lady! You're a genius! We should totally build a village! ...Well... When it warms up... Building stuff isn't fun in the cold... But anyway, thank you! Now I need to tell the boss about this awesome idea!"
>Go inside.>You enter the shrine and see Suwako pacing by the Kotatsu in a manner similar to the way she was this morning. As soon as her eye catches you, she stops, and then quickly runs over to you."Honey I'm home!"
>"It's sort of a long story, so I'll tell you the quick version. We went to the underground to see if we could find anything about the incident, but they were just renovating, as they tried to explain. We were allowed to go inside and we spent a while asking around. Kogasa ended up trying to surprise me by hiding in a vase, and she got stuck. Things...happened and she needed a change of clothes, so... Yeah. Also, this is Mima, and I met her down there. She's agreed to help out.">"But" Suwako frowns, "that doesn't explain why you were gone for so long... And it's nice to meet you, Mima."
>"We had to get something for someone and we kinda had dinner too. How come you never told me Orin was a great cook?">"I didn't even know she was a good cook. I've never had a meal down there... By the way..." Suwako's expression grows concerned, "Did you... by chance... happen to learn anything about Kanako's whereabouts while you were down there?"
>"No, they hadn't seen her recently either.">"...Damn..." Suwako's brow furrows, "Where could she be...?"
>Feel bad for lying. The other things were actually all true, but this...>You feel guilty for lying right to Suwako's face.
>"You could probably change now Kogasa. I'm still sort of borrowing that.">"Into what, exactly?" Kogasa asks, "My other clothes are still dirty..."
>"Suwako, if Reimu comes, could you please hide Mima? She kinda did something to make Reimu really mad in the past and Reimu might still be aggressive if she spots her. It was probably a joke she played on Reimu that went too far."
>"Seriously, do not let Reimu see her.">"Sure, I'll try my best." Suwako answers, "But knowing Reimu, she'll probably find her eventually..."
>Back to Kogasa: "Well, I'm sure I have some clothes that are more...modest. You wouldn't mind wearing one of my outfits instead, would you? At least then, if it gets dirty, I won't get in as much trouble.">"Normally, I'd mind, but since it means changing out of this, I won't. I feel ridiculous in this outfit..."
>Lead Kogasa to our room.>You leave Mima with Suwako and lead Kogasa through the living room and into your quarters.
>Unequip Winter outfit>You unequip your winter gear.
>Check our closet for something Kogasa could wear.>You open your closet and begin searching for an outfit for Kogasa.
>Let's visually compare Kogasa to our old school uniform then, see if it would fit well on her.>You glance at Kogasa, and then glance at your school uniform. It would probably fit nicely on her.
>School uniform, definitely.>You decide that you'd have Kogasa change into this.
>"Found something. These are typical clothes worn in the outside world. Somebody might be surprised by them.">"Really? How would they surprise people? Do they look scary?"
>I am NOT a perv.>You assure yourself that you're giving Kogasa the uniform because she needs a change of clothes, and not because of perverted intentions.
>"Uhh, they're more or less unusual than scary. But some scary people in some books I read wore stuff like this."
>Give her the school uniform.>"Well, I guess you have a point there." Kogasa says as she takes the uniform from you.
>"Well, people might be surprised by the unexpected look too."
>Not talking about manga or something, novels of course.>
>"So, aren't you going to try it on?">"I'm waiting for you to leave."
>"O-oh, of course. I'll get out of here while you do that..">You leave the room and close the door behind you.
>Leave the room.
>Peep>Your door does not have a keyhole to peep through. You'd have to crack the door open, and hope that she doesn't notice, in order to do that.
//oh dear god that was meant to be crossed out. Well, might as well be a pervert.// XD
>crack the door open
>Take a quick look, just for a second, or two.
>'look around'//Not intentionally. :P
//congrats, you've become a voyeurism fic writer.
//One of these days, we'll play as a blind person or Rumia. And when that day comes, R.I.P. look around command.
>We are playing a very dangerous game here.
>Oh dear, so hawt. She is cute. So sugoi desu ne.
>Leave the door open, but walk away. It is way too risky to shut it.>You leave the door ajar and walk away.
>Question morals, maybe we shouldn't do this...>You wonder whether
>Stand at the side of the door, turned away.>You walk back to the door and face away from it.
>"You done yet in there? And If you mess anything up, I'll get you.">"I just got the outfit off!" Kogasa replies, "And don't worry, I won't mess anything up!"
>Okay, one more quick look.>You're going to go to hell for this... but...
>Enma-sama is going to send me to voyeur hell.
>Hm, we could probably say that our door is messed up and doesn't stay closed all the time if we get caught. IF.>You quickly think of a cover story in case she notices you. IF she notices you...
>Well, I creeped on an umbrella. Time to take that off my bucket list.
>Leave before karma bites me in the ass, because it will.
>Alright, that's enough.>With all the willpower you can muster, you tear your eyes away and walk away from the door.
>>You sit down by the low table in the center of the living room.Reluctantlystop and sit down away from the door.
>It's the low table for low people, like me.>You believe that you have sunk to a new low due to your actions.
>I mean, at least she's cute...>Well... At least you had a reason to sink so low...
>Look around>You glance around the living room.
>All this looking around, I must bring my vision to a world apart.
>Pull and Oedipus Rex.
>Wait for Kogasa, savor and despise my morality.>You do so.
>Ah, a true Gensokyan classic.
>"Are you done yet? You're taking a long time.">"I'm almost done!" You hear Kogasa shout back through the door.
>Keep waiting.>You keep waiting.//I almost want to do it, but I'm super lazy.
>Only one way to find out. Examine Kogasa.
>God she is adorable.>You do so.
>"Uhh, yeah, I mean, yes, cute, uhh, maybe?">"H-Huh!?! Did you just say 'cute'?!"
//Must have been all the corpses Orin collects piling up. The meat was good, but I'm pretty sure we commited cannibalism.>After further examination, you deduce that school uniform Kogasa isn't as cute as maid Kogasa. It's even better!
>Just as cute? She looks even better. Even though it's mine..
>"Oh dear, she is too cute. It looks really really good.."
>She knows I'm creeping on her, not what happened a few minutes ago, but I feel like maybe I'm staring too much.>You have a feeling the she at least partially knows what's going on...
>Return to the room.>You head back into your bedroom. Kogasa follows.
>"Let's finish that truth or dare game, since it was interrupted, please. So, Truth or Dare?">"Um, okay... I think I'll go with Dare this time..."
>>Now, my love, we KISS!
//GOD I LOVE UNDERTEM!>"I dare you to kiss me!"
>"I dare you to...ki-...do your best surprise face!">"Okay..."
>"Uhh, maybe I could teacher you a few things..."
//They call me the meme machine, already seen it.
//I present this (https://youtu.be/47zXPz0XQg0) as my comeback.
>"I wanna do truth again, so shoot.">"So... Um... When Mima... Dared you to um... ...kiss... me... What did you think of that...?"
//Mettaton -> Burn.
>SO SHOOT BABY SHOOT!
>"Well, I was really embarrassed, but you can't go back on a dare or lie on truth. But, after kissing you, I realized that.......... you're really... cute and adorable. And it was my first kiss. I kinda liked it. And I think I... kinda like you."
//Oh snap, we gonna go with that route? MEME WAR COMMENCE (https://youtu.be/rcIpIw4YtZk)!
>Oh snap, did we just say that...
>"I said I like you. Because you're cute and adorable and you're not as annoying as I always say you are. I mean, you could be great at surprising if you practiced more. And because you're really unique too, and that's why I like you. Do you..........like me too?">
//god damnit this is a bad fluff fic//lol aren't there a lot of RPs that are like that or somehow end up that way though? Don't worry, the main plot is still continuing at a reasonable pace as this humorous romantic nonsense occurs...
>"Do you... feel the same way?"
//I LOVE IT
>Hell, I should kiss her again, just for good measure.//Hey, I was like that until up to a few years ago. And now I'm a somewhat-not-terrible (?) GM I still don't know everything about RPs. :P
>SMOOTH SANAE, ACTIVATE!
//This is really the first RP I've done, I live a very RP secluded life.
>You slowly walk over to Kogasa, gently grab her, and lead into a kiss... And Kogasa reciprocates.//I have been searching for rp's of the Touhou variant. I was actually drawn here by FlamingRoc's Don't roll to dodge thing, but it didn't last, it seems. If I were here sooner, I probably would've hopped on that Immortal Quest.
>Go for the kiss.
//that name is genius.>The two of you kiss again. A bit longer this time.
>Hell, one more for the road.
////RtD Arena is great though! It's really fun!I'm not going to make a joke about afterbirth.I tried (and failed) to make a rp recently. What I really want is to have another game like Don't Roll to Dodge, so I made RtD: Arena. (But it's not the same Q.Q)
>"So, um...Koishi was right..."
>"I peeped in on you changing earlier. I'm sorry, I couldn't stop myself until later...">Kogasa's face flushes red, "Y-You what!?! Uh... W-Well... I guess now that the cat's out of the bag.... it's... okay...?"
>"I think we should head back to the others, before they get suspicious... Should we tell them about... us?">"I-I'm... not sure... It's up to you..."
>>You grab the maid outfit and your winter gear and stow them back in your inventory.
>"I'll tell them. And when we have time to, I'll try to teach you what humans are afraid of.">"Oh, okay..."
>Head back to Suwako and Mima.>You and Kogasa head back to Suwako and Mima.
>"I'm not entirely sure how to say this, but thanks a lot Mima, for helping us realize our emotions...">"Huh? What are you talking abou- Wait a minute... ARE YOU TWO A COUPLE NOW!?!?!" Mima exclaims, "Wow... And all just because I dared you to kiss her? Heh... This day just keeps getting interesting doesn't it? But you're welcome, I guess..."
>"Um, is this alright with you Suwako-sama?">"Oh um... Well, I'm not one to judge people based on who they love. So as long as it makes you happy... I'm fine with it." Suwako replies, "Though if Kanako were here she'd probably say something along the lines of 'But if it ever gets to the point that she wants to move in with us, she better pull her weight...' or something like that... Where on earth could she be...?"
>Head back to our room>You return to your room with Kogasa.
>"I'm going to call Lady Kanako now. I bet we can surprise her good like we did to Mima, heh. I hope she allows this...">"Um okay..." Kogasa replies.
>Get the prototype phone from epic sleeves.>You take out the prototype cell phone.
>Dial Kanako>You activate the phone...
>"Well, Kanako never gave me her number...">"What is that thing anyway?" Kogasa asks, "How does it work."
>What else is on this prototype?>It appears to have a built-in camera and an internal clock. There's a music player too, but checking it reveals that there are no music files to play, aside from the default ringtone...
>"This is what is known as a "cellular phone", or just cell phone for short. You can use it to call people from large distances away. This one is just a prototype though, and you need someone's number to call them...">"Huh... Interesting... Can they be used to surprise people?"
>I wonder if it can do THIS!>You quicky tap 9-1-1 into the phone and put it to your ear.
>Dial the police.
>"When Kanako does call, I'll have to tell her how things went so far. You can also tell her the, um, news to surprise her if you want to, or I can do it.">"Oh... Okay..." Kogasa replies.
>"Don't hesitate to come over more often. I can probably teach you how to surprise better, and maybe we could just hang out sometimes.">"Yeah." Kogasa smiles.
>"Speaking of which, about surprising people. It's usually about doing things that are unexpected or scary. Anyways, something I can recommend is that actions speak louder than words. Sneaking behind someone and yelling 'Boo!' will end up dulling over time because they'll expect it. But sneaking behind someone and doing something else will work much better.">"Like what?"
>"I've got a plan.">You dial the number 1 on the prototype phone.
>Dial 1.
>"No, I was just trying to call again.">"Well... What if one of us... distracted them?"
>"We're going to try and surprise either Mima or Suwako-sama. Wait... Now that I think about it, trying to sneak up on either of them won't work because the other will see. Darn."
>"I think that will work. I'll get their attention, then you can do the rest.">"Alright!" Kogasa smiles, "Well, what are we waiting for, let's do it!"
>"I hope you can find a way to sneak around them.">"Well, I'm hoping you manage to draw their attention away from where I'm coming from."
>Head out>You head out of the room and make your way back to the shrine's main room. Kogasa lags behind.
>Sit down with them on the side closest to the shrine exit.>You do so.
>"It looks like you two are getting along fine.">"Yes, Mima here was just sharing with me some amusing stories from her past." Suwako replies, "Did you know that Marisa Kirisame was once her apprentice? ...Oh, and she also offered me a drink."
>"I guess so...">You don't have anything to drink out of, unless you were to drink directly from the bottle like
>Go ahead and drink.
//Sorry I took so long. I was waiting for the site's Security Certificate to be updated. They took their sweet-ass time this time. Last time, I swear they did it within 48 hours.//I just did what everyone else did and not care about that. #thuglyf
>"Should I get something to drink from or is drinking from the bottle okay?">"I don't mind you drinking from the bottle." Mima replies, "Just remember to save some for the rest of us."
>Ask for a cup>You request a cup.
>"So, what will you do after this freezing incident is resolved Mima? Where will you go?">"I'm actually not sure..." Mima replies, "I was thinking of probably crashing here for a bit..." she smirks, "Well, at least until Reimu isn't an issue anymore... After that, I'll probably find some abandoned shack somewhere and live in it... Then I'll try to find a new purpose in life, I guess..."
>"I believe Marisa lives in the Forest of magic, if you ever wanted to visit her again.">"Ha! If I ever wanted to visit her?" Mima takes another swig, "It's not a matter of if, Sanae, it's a matter of when. ...And... Well... That when is probably going to be never... -Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to see her, I've forgiven her for what she did to me- But I don't think... I don't think she'll be happy to see me... Especially after that Hakurei Bitch poisoned her mind..."
>Look around (Specifically for Kogasa)>You stealthily glance around.
>"I don't think she'd hate you if showed up with different intentions. I became friends with her almost right after they uh... beat me up. And not to mention you've been with her for a long time. She'll probably be happy to show you all the tricks she learned.">"Eh, maybe you're right..." Mima takes another sip, "...But what if you're wrong? Besides, I'd rather not chance a meeting with her... She's still Reimu's friend after all..."
>Attempt to re-stock on Faith.>To do so would require you to go to the worship room, and to have permission from one of your goddesses, since you'll be obtaining more than your daily allowance.
>"You should see her anyways. If she's happy, then there you go. If she's angry, then... Anyways, you can't just avoid her forever.">"Well, technically, I could if I wanted to... But I don't..." Mima frowns "I'll do it eventually... But probably not anytime soon..."
>Drink some.>You take a sip of booze.
>"I don't think I would survive drinking straight from the bottle of something this powerful...">"So I take it you don't like it then?" Mima frowns.
>"Has anyone been here while I was absent Suwako? Well, besides the fairies.">"No, we have not had any more visitors today." Suwako replies
>We shouldn't get drunk during an incidentOops...Well, it'd be rude to turn down someone who's been saving something for years...Because we're a good girl.
>"No, it's good. It's just that I... I shouldn't be drinking while there's an incident going on.">"Oh... yeah... you have a point there..." Mima remarks, before taking a swig.
>"Is there anything else you were capable of when you had your original power?">"Well, Reimaden was probably the greatest feat I've ever accomplished. So it doesn't really get more impressive than that... Anyway, I knew tons of powerful dark magic. I was also working on a brand new spell, involving focusing and unleashing a huge amount of my staff's power at a single target. If I perfected it, it would've been quite destructi-"
>Try not to laugh.>You hold in your laughter.
>God damnit Kogasa...>She just never learns, does she?
>Sigh>"I am?" Kogasa replies "Thanks..."
>"Kogasa, I told you that actions speak louder than words. You had it up till the end though, so I'd say you're getting better."
>"Surprise you two. You didn't expect her...right?">"No. But I wasn't surprised..."
>"Well, that's one step; Being unexpected. Now you just need to stick to doing something more surprising than shouting 'boo'.">"Would boogabooga be acceptable?" Kogasa asks
>"Speaking of magic, don't you have some useful ability or trick Kogasa? Maybe that would help.">"No, not really." says Kogasa "Unless you count sticking a tongue out of an umbrella..."
>"If you can sneak up right behind someone and shout it in their ear, it'll definitely surprise them. But, doing something like that might get you scolded and punished...">"Okay. Maybe I'll try that next time..."
>"Well, do you have any ideas Mima?">"Well, are you going for surprise! surprise, or jumpscare surprise?" Mima asks.
>"Any surprise will do. I'm not sure Kogasa could pull off a jumpscare though. Just look at her. She's freakin adorable.">"But jumpscares are easy! You just have to be quick and intimidating, like this!"
>"Kogasa isn't intimidating though. And if she did that to almost anyone in Gensokyo, besides Fairies and children, I'm pretty sure they'd attack her in retaliation.">"Anyone can be intimidating if they had enough spine." Mima replies, "And you could always just start her on fairies and children and have her work her way up..."
>"Well, just wait until I teach Kogasa how to surprise even someone like Reimu.">"HA! Good luck with that!"
>"Oh don't you dare underestimate the power of my>"Oh yeah, that. How do you want to go about solving it? "Determinationmiracles."
>"But we shouldn't be worrying about that right now. We need to finish this incident."
>"Everyone's been searching for the culprit, but they haven't thought of how to stop the cold if said culprit is unreachable. Of course this is too much a problem to fix with just miracles...">"So how do you plan on stopping the cold?"
>"There doesn't seem to be much we can do currently. Plus, It's been too long a day. I just want to go to bed so we can deal with this tomorrow, though I still have to return the maid outfit I borrowed from Sakuya.">"Who the hell is Sakuya?"
>"She's a human (surprisingly) that has the ability to control time. I don't know what it's like for her, but she just pops in and out of nowhere. Sometimes she leaves a couple of cards (or knives) where she left too. She's the head maid at a large mansion. Then again, the only other maids are just fairies.">"Interesting... I always wondered what it would be like to manipulate time, and if anyone had that power." Mima smirks, "Maybe I should pay this Sakuya a visit some time..."
>"Also, if you meet her, don't mention pa-ssing the gate guard easily."
>Pad joke blocked by Meiling.
>"Why not now? I need to return the maid outfit to her and it shouldn't be too late to fly outside.">"Okay, yeah. I'm fine with doing it now. As long as it isn't storming out..."
>Check to see if it's okay outside.>You walk over to the shrine door and open it.
>Close doors.>You shut the door.
>"Nope.">"So I guess we're calling it a night then?" Mima asks.
>"Yeah. So where are you going to sleep? And uh, what about you Kogasa?">"I'm a vengeful spirit. Does it look like I need sleep?" Mima frowns, "But I'll probably find some place comfy to rest..."
>"Okay. Goodnight Kogasa. Goodnight Suwako-sama. Rest in Peace Mima.">"Goodnight." Kogasa smiles.
>Drink some more of our drink before heading back to our room.>You quickly finish off your cup and head back to your room.
>Check to see if we received any messages from Kanako.>You check the cell phone prototype.
>Take out the pajamas from our wardrobe and put them on.>You open up your wardrobe and equip your pajamas.
>Experience Bed Tem.Go to bed.
>Look around>You do so.
>Guess we should just feel happy up here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCHjAWUxvrA).>You concentrate.
>Lucid Dream it up!See if we can make someone we know appear.
>Locate Pigmy Marmoset Kaguya
>"Kogasa!">You fly over and give Dream Kogasa a warm embrace.
>Hug Dream Kogasa.
>You kiss Dream Kogasa.//Running gags are my thing~. But this one was because, for some reason, it reminded me of "Go Diego Go".
>Might as well follow up with a kiss.
>Uh oh. Grab Kogasa and dive horizontally this time.>You grab Dream Kogasa and fly horizontally.
>"It looks like that place Mima and I had to fly through to get back here. Going there is a bad idea.">You turn away and see two figures flying in your direction.
>Fly away from it.
>"Hey, you two. What's going on here?">The non-winged glances at you.
>"No this isn't. It's about that egotistical thing in Gin-moo-kai or whatever, right? I've been there, twice. Both in this day in fact. So, better question; Who are you two and what are you going to do to stop it? Maybe I could help?">"Gengetsu! She's smarter than I thought."
>"If it caused something before and Reimu beat it up as well, then this super nightmare thing might be serious. Mima mentioned the Dream World before, so maybe she can help...">"Reimu... Why does that name sound familiar...? Oh well... It doesn't matter. Anyway, a Super Nightmare event would be serious. The last one happened millennia ago, and the Dream World still hasn't fully recovered from it. It's the reason why the boundary between the edge of the Dream World and Genmukai is as unusually thin as it is today."
>Kiss Dream Kogasa goodbye.
>Try to wake up.>You pinch yourself. It hurts.
>"Well, there's a very, very, very high chance that it's agitated at me and my goddesses for some reason. It also seemed to really like insulting me every chance it got...">Gengetsu smiles, "Oh... No... I won't kill you." her yellow eyes begin glowing an unnatural red, and her smile becomes sadistic, "But you still need to go!"
>"You're not going to try and kill me heh heh... are you?"
>Geez, Freddy Krugetsu...
>Get up and look for Mima.>You get up and get dressed.
>Hold on... Make sure Suwako isn't around.>You glance around.
>Try and use the phone's camera function to take a picture if she isn't.
>"Well, at least you can still dream freely...">You enter the main room and walk towards the shrine door.
>Go into the other room and check outside to see if there's a blizzard.
>"Oh. Good morning Reimu. What's the occasion?">You allow Reimu inside, and shut the door.
>Step aside, let her in then close the door.
>"Haven't found anything else useful for stopping the incident on my end, even considering how wild yesterday was for me. The underground yielded no solution to the incident.">"So the Underground was a dead end too, huh... Well, if it turns out that you were telling the truth about your goddesses, I guess I'll have to resort to the old-fashioned incident-solving method."
>"Wait, don't tell me you're going to start beating everyone up.">"That's exactly what I'm going to do."
>"H-Hold on! I might know er... a few things...">Reimu raises and eyebrow, "Like what?"
>Get between them.>You do so
>"Okay, hold everything! Yes I know who she is. Things are different now though. Why do you think she just waltz into here like a lousy roommate? You've got nothing to worry about from her, okay?">"Nothing to worry about!?! Sanae, Mima is pure evil!" Reimu glares at you, "She can never be trusted! No matter how friendly she may seem, she'll turn on you eventually. And I bet this is what you were about to tell me about, isn't it! She's the mastermind of this incident isn't she!"
>"Hey! Let me explain! Mima had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with this incident until just recently. And that's because she's helping me out now. Things happened and I ended up getting stuck in that realm she was stuck in, and we helped each other get out. I know, 100%, without a single trace of doubt, that Mima is not the cause of this incident.">"Even if she's not behind this, she still can't be trusted. Now stand aside so I can seal her away!"
>"I didn't want to have to say this, but since you're already planning on beating up everyone until you get answers, I have to. I actually do know exactly why this incident is happening and who's causing it.">"You do?" Reimu frowns, "Who is it, then, if it's not her?"
>"Mima can be trusted. She had the opportunity to get rid of me when we were escaping back to Gensokyo, but she didn't do it. She probably could've killed me in my sleep yesterday night, but she didn't do it. She even had the perfect chance to kill thousands in one moment and make it look like an accident that no one would ever suspect was her, but she didn't, DO IT! ... Sealing Mima would only bring negative effects. She's given up on the genocide thing anyways. She's been more helpful than not.">"Grr... Alright, fine. Have it your way." Reimu snarls, before looking at Mima, "But don't think this means I trust you. Mark my words, if you cause trouble just once, I won't hesitate to seal you away. And this time I'll make sure it's permanent."
>"You were right. It's us, okay. But this wasn't supposed to happen and we're trying to stop it. We needed you to stop snooping around long enough for us to fix it, but you just wouldn't. You can't just ruin everything now. You can't do it. Please, don't. You don't understand what you'll do to us...">Reimu glares at you.
>"S-Suwako-sama! We were just talking about uh, p-progress. Things are getting kind of hectic though, so uh, I guess we should take it outside. C-come on Reimu.">You grab onto Reimu's hand and drag her outside.
>Take Reimu's hand and exit the shrine.
>Take Reimu to the other side of the shrine, hopefully away from the fairies.>You drag Reimu to the other side of the shrine, much to her annoyance. Mima follows soon after.
>"Lady Kanako made a mistake and Suwako can't hear about it. If she does, it'll just make things worse. I need you to stay out of this because if the residents of Gensokyo realize who's behind this, we really would lose everything. I'm not just talking about respect or popularity or anything like that. I'm saying no one would have faith in us anymore and my goddesses would disappear. You might not care about them, but they're my family.">Reimu stares at you for several moments.
>"Thank you, but you can't make a promise like that Reimu. This incident isn't the only thing against me. I can't relax while I'm awake because of this incident and I can't relax in my dreams because there's something after me in Genmukai. Even if we do fix this, that thing is hell-bent on trying to reach me every chance it gets, whether I'm unconscious or in another world. I can't even do anything to stop it, hahaha... (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXpuRIZzJog)">"Gen-moo-what!?!" Reimu exclaims.
>"So you have been there. Anyways, why is the thing there trying to go after me?">"Well, could you please describe this thing? I've seen many things in my lifetime, plus, I was like... a kid... back then. You honestly can't expect me to remember stuff from so long ago off the top of my head, can you?"
>"How come your turtle is never around whenever I visit though?">"Because he passed away several years ago..." Reimu frowns.
>"Well, it sounded really arrogant. I didn't see it in any form besides a group of orbs so far. It also tried to break into the dream world or something, though it apparently already broke through once long ago.">Reimu's eyes widen, "Did you just say... a group of orbs...? ...Were there five of them? Were they grey?"
>"Yeah, 5 gray orbs. At least until they started to glow blood red and attack me...">"...I know what you're talking about... I've seen it before, a long time ago. That... thing... made me feel uneasy when Genji and I encountered it. It's the only thing that ever legitimately creeped me out..."
>"I know I should be focusing on the incident, but knowing that that thing is locked on to me and my goddesses specifically just doesn't sit well with me. You've stopped it before, so you can do it again, right?">"I don't know. That thing was incredibly resilient. I managed to wound it, but I don't think it's possible to destroy it. If I wounded it again, it will probably come back eventually... Besides, I have no way to get to it. I've only been to this Genmukai place once, and that was because Genji and I were pursuing her." Reimu points at Mima.
>Head back into the Shrine>You escort Reimu and Mima back towards the entrance of the shrine. A couple of fairies are running around chucking snowballs at each other, while other fairies huddle near a newly relit bonfire, watching the action.
>"There's also one person who is a major key component in resolving this incident...">You lead Mima and Reimu back to the living room. Kogasa is still fast asleep.
>Locate Kogasa
>Nod in a completely serious manner.>"You've got to be kidding me..." Reimu sneers, "Also, don't you hate her?"
>"You can't let yourself be held back by common sense Reimu.">"But exactly how in the hell is Kogasa a 'major key component in resolving this incident?' "
>Try to wake her.>You kneel down and gently nudge Kogasa's shoulder a few times.
>"Okay, you got me. You win Mima... for now. But don't worry, I still have tricks to pull.">"How did I get you?" Mima asks.
>"Yes, everyone else is up already.">"Oh..." Kogasa says as she sits up, rubbing her eyes, "Huh...? Why is Reimu here...?"
>"I told Mima that Kogasa would be able to surprise you, Reimu. But I know we can pull it off.">"Oh, yeah, that." says Mima, "Yeah, I honestly doubt she would be able to do it."
>"That's why I'm going to teach her how to, then you'll be sorry!">"Pffft. Good luck with that!" Reimu chuckles.
>Lift Kogasa up.>You slide an arm under Kogasa's legs and lift her up - complete with the blankets she's under - princess-style.
>"Get up Kogasa. You're gonna surprise Reimu. Go for it!">"Wait. What? I-I uh... um... uh..." Kogasa exclaims as she looks around frantically, she then quickly looks at Reimu, "Uuuuuhhh..... BOOGABOOGABOOGA!"
>Set Kogasa down>You gently set Kogasa on her feet.
>"Admit it, you were surprised.">"Ahahahahaha~ Ah.... No... I wasn't surprised..." Reimu smiles, "That was more funny than surprising..."
>"I know she can do it. She just needs more practice. We already surprised Mima before on accident, so it's bound to happen eventually. Don't ask how.">"What? When did that happen!?!" Mima asks.
>Check phone for messages.>You take out the cell phone and check it for messages.
>Set Kogasa's picture as background image.
>"Remember yesterday, when you didn't expect a certain something to happen, at least, not so quickly, but it ended up happening anyways...">Mima averts her eyes, "I-I wouldn't call that me being surprised... Ah what the hell, you got me."
>"Hm? What's what?">"That thing you're holding!" Reimu exclaims.
>"It's just a camera. You know, like Aya's. I was just checking this picture I took earlier...">"That's a weird looking camera..." Reimu frowns.
>"It's still just a camera though.">You hold up the phone and snap a picture of Reimu and Mima. Both of them are standing close to each other.
>Take a picture of Reimu and Mima. Preferably next to each other.
>"Just wanted to save a few things for memories. It's not like I'm going to take a picture of anything scandalous.>"Whatever..."Like your socks."
>Stand next to Kogasa and take a>You stand close to Kogasa, smile, and snap a picture of the two of you.Selfiepicture. Then put the phone away,
>"In my dream yesterday night, there were 4 people. Me, Kogasa, Gengetsu and Mugetsu. Gengetsu ended up having to shoot me and wake me up to stop that thing from breaking through into the Dream World or whatever. Anyone know who those two are?">"Nope. Doesn't ring a bell." says Mima.
>"I thought of someone, and you appeared. We were both happy to see each other, then we um... Well, It was a nice and pleasant dream for a while.">Kogasa smiles.
>"Anyways, it was ruined by cracks from out of nowhere. I could see that place was on the other side. Thats when I met Gengetsu and Mugetsu. Mugetsu looked kind of like a maid while I think Gengetsu was the one with a single white angel wing. She could also shoot danmaku really fast.">"I think I remember a couple of demons that looked like that, once. A long time ago." Reimu began, "Back when Marisa was still loyal to Tempura-butt over here..."
>"I realized why I thought she was annoying. It's just because she's not that good at surprising. If you look past that, you'd see that she's, well... not that bad a person. That's why, if she can get better at surprising, she wouldn't be nearly as annoying.">"...Well... Okay then..."
>Poker face>Keeping a straight face, you quickly slink into your room and lock the door behind you.
>Silently and slowly head into our room, closing the door behind us so they can't get in.
>Check whatever it is.>You sift through your inventory and notice that the there is now a blinking light on the prototype phone.
>Try to answer it like a regular phone.>You put the phone to your ear.
>Check the messages.>You check the messages.
>Read the messages.>You read the messages:
Hey! Good news, I think we've finally made a breakthrough! They were up all night,
but Nitori and Utsuho think they found a way to reverse this. They tried it, and it looks promising
so far!Shit. Scratch that. False alarm. I think we only made it worse... Nitori is running some simulations now.>_
>Try to dial the number 321-4567>You dial the number and hold the phone to your ear.
>Speak relatively softly so those outside can't hear. "You never gave me your number Lady Kanako. Anyways, I have some bad news and good news of my own to report. Which should I explain first?">"The bad news. It's better to just get it out of the way..." she replies.
>"Okay...Reimu is here. Even though I was able to convince her again that I found nothing out, she had decided to just give up and resort to exterminating everyone till she gets answers. I had to tell her that I knew about the incident to stop her. I'm sorry, I failed you Lady Kanako...">Kanako remains silent for several seconds.
>"There's still the good news. I managed to get Reimu to promise some things. Among them, she's giving us one more day until she steps in. The other thing she promised was that nothing bad would happen to us when she intervenes. There's still hope.">"I hope you're right..."
>"The only ones who know of those of you who there who are involved, Reimu, Mima, Kogasa, and myself. I've managed to keep it hidden from Suwako-sama. Kogasa managed to link together the pieces of the puzzle, so I'm looking after her.">"Well at least Suwako hasn't found out about it yet..."
>"Speaking of Kogasa...is it alright if she...lives with us...for a bit...so we can be together longer? I-I mean, y-you know, to make sure she doesn't um... doesn't tell anything?">"Huh? Well... that's... a rather odd request... I'm pretty sure you could find ways keep her mouth shut without resorting to that... Is there something you're not telling me?"
>"Mima caused Kogasa and I to get into some pretty embarrassing situations. One of them resulted in making us...well... we kissed. I didn't hate it though, in fact, I sort of liked it. A few moments alone, and we realized we actually liked each other. She used to be annoying because she couldn't surprise people well. If I can teach her how to surprise others better, she wouldn't be annoying at all...Then again, I'm fine with the way she is now...">Kanako chuckles on the other end of the line.
>"I should've prepared for that. Suwako said you would say that exact thing. Anyways, the only other news I have is of the nightmare I had after being struck by lightning. In short, it seems it was real. Something Reimu confirmed about the dream world and the place I went to. I don't want to trouble you with it unless it becomes something that would, so take care, and good luck.">"You take care as well."
>Hang up. Put the phone away, then exit the room.>You do so.
>Hug Kogasa. "You're allowed to stay! You would have to support yourself if you want to stay though. Of course, you don't have to be here if you don't want to...">Kogasa returns your hug "T-That's great! I-I want to stay..."
>"Oh, it was nothing.">Reimu looks weirded out, "What do you mean it was nothing? And... And... What the hell is going on here...?"
>"It was something, but knowing about it would just complicate things more.">"How so?" Reimu raises an eyebrow.
>"And we are sort of a couple. Surprising, huh? In the end, I couldn't really stay annoyed at Kogasa...">"Yes, it is surprising..."
>"I can't really leak anything about it. We should focus on the other possible incident right now.">"Hang on a second. Did you just say the other incident?" Reimu scowls.
>"If you had one, did anything weird happen in your dream Kogasa? Any angels or cracks in the sky?">"Well, I really couldn't tell you. I don't really remember my dreams if I had any..."
//Return of//Yaya! Welcome back.JerryTemmie
>"Other possible incident. The thing Gengetsu and her sister talked about. She said: 'If that thing breaks into the dream world, it'd cause another 'Super Nightmare Event' like the one a long time ago.' Hey Mima, do you have some sort of ancient dream viewing magic that could make you see what I see in my dreams?">"Well it better stay 'possible' " Reimu frowns, "One major incident is enough. We don't need two to happen at the same time..."
>"I really don't want to have to go all the way back underground...">"Well, unless you can find another way, that's your only real option if you want me, or anyone else for that matter, to see your dreams..."
>"Well, It doesn't seem to try anything unless I'm nearby, unconscious or otherwise. It probably won't try anything else as long as I don't have any dreams, but still, this is just unfair!">"Life is unfair." Reimu snarks, "Get used to it."
>"Did you know the average teenager says "That's not fair." Around 83 times a day?"
>"There doesn't seem to be much we can do to help out with the incident right now. However, I still need to return something to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and there's that mysterious hatch at the bottom of Misty Lake. It's a really crazy guess, but maybe it could be the way? We should at least check it out if we can get it open.">"I'm fine with doing that." says Mima, "Actually I'm fine doing most things at the moment, considering I've been doing very little for the past... how many years was it...? Ah forget it, that information's not important anyway..."
>"As long as you two can keep from killing each other, I'm all for the extra firepower, if it comes to that.">"Alright, then. I'll meet you at the Scarlet Devil Mansion in about an hour." Reimu replies, "Should I bring Suika?"
>"You should get around and meet the new people at Gensokyo, Mima. There's bound to be some interesting people.">"I bet there is." says Mima, "I'll probably get around to it eventually."
>"Will you be staying here or coming with us Kogasa?">"I'd like to come with you. But I'll have to stop by my place first, for... you know..." Kogasa pinches a small portion of the uniform she's wearing, "But If you'd rather I stay behind, I understand."
>Go back into the main room.>The four of you depart from the living room.
>"Mima probably doesn't have magic that could open it, so please do bring her.">"Well I feel offended!" Mima remarks, "My magic could probably blast it to kingdom co-wait. Who the hell's Suika!?!"
>"You should come with us, we might need all the power we can get. I've got no idea what's under that hatch."
>"I'd like to see your home too Kogasa. If you sleep for that long, it must be really comfortable.">"It's not that comfortable. I guess I was just really tired last night..." Kogasa replies, "Anyway, I'll come with you, then."
>Where does Kogasa live anyway?>You recall her saying yesterday, on the way back from the underground, that she lived about halfway up Youkai Mountain.
>"Yeah, we should be okay, as long as nobody tries to piss anyone off. We're gonna leave again when the storm dies down, check out that hatch at the lake."
>"Everything is alright now Suwako-sama. Reimu and Mima shouldn't fight now unless they start calling each other names like children again.">"That's good to hear" says Suwako, "So you're heading out now then? The weather outside's pretty calm at the moment."
>"Uhh, they were cold... and free faith?"
>"It's another funny story from yesterday. A couple of fairies set up a small blockade in order to get supplies to brave the cold. I told them that my shrine can help them. They brought their friends and we ended up with a bunch of fairies. It's a win-win situation on both sides though. They look like they're almost starting to get a bit too comfortable...">"Well don't let them get comfortable enough to start a village or something," Reimu comments, "as amusing as that sounds, I doubt you or the people that come here would enjoy the constant noise that would be caused by such a place..."
>"Hang in there Suwako. Don't let them go about too freely though.">"I know." Suwako replies before turning to the fairy with a beaming smile.
>Equip Winter outfit then depart.>You put on your winter outfit.
>"Would you kindly do that fire magic again, Mima?">"Sure, once we get outside." says Mima.
>"I still want to see your home Kogasa. It'll be a while before Reimu gets to the mansion with Suika anyways. Suika is a small, drunken Oni, in short. You'll learn more when we see her Mima.">"Okay." Kogasa replies.
>"Yes, Suwako-sama?">"Hold out your hand." she replies.
>Well, I know where she lives, but I've got no idea what it looks like.>You have no idea what her living arrangements are. You honestly hope her house is at least somewhat decent when you finally see it.
>Hold out our hands.>You hold out your hand and Suwako places hers in yours.
>"Ah, thank you Suwako-sama! And thank all these fairies, I suppose...">"You're welcome." Suwako beams, "But I should be thanking you. You were the reason these fairies even began to follow us in the first place."
>"I didn't expect such a large benefit from a small thing like that though. I'll try not to waste it, Suwako-sama.">"I know you won't" Suwako smiles.
>Head out.>You exit the shrine with Kogasa and Mima. Near the igloo's entrance, you see the fairy from before frantically telling her comrades about the so-called "warship."
>"Oh yea, you don't know why that's useful yet, right Mima?">"Why what's useful?" Mima asks, "Having a group of fairies camped outside? Because I know how useful that could be. Lots of free test subjects and cannon-fodder..."
>"I'm practically a goddess...sort of. With faith from others, I can make miracles happen. From making flowers bloom and enhancing the effects of objects to>"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" (https://youtu.be/_5XBNEPmdoU?t=20s)becoming a playable character andhealing injuries or temporarily changing the weather if I have a lot of faith. The whole reason we got beat up by Reimu and Marisa was because we tried to obtain all of the faith in Gensokyo."
