If you have no idea what Shanghai Exe is, it is a Touhou version of Megaman Battle Network, made by the people who did Touhou Live a Live.
The main character is Alice, who goes to school with Marisa, Remilia, and Rika (!!!). They control, respectively, Marisa (as a navi), Sakuya, and Tankman.
It's completely in Japanese, but with a little help from the wikis, it's quite possible to progress.
default controls:
x: enter button, press to use chips
z: exit button, hold to run, press to buster
v: start, opens menu
c: select, chooses reg chip for folder, skips cutscenes
a: l button, runs in battle
s: r button, jack in, jack out
Does anyone have any tips for getting S ranks on the v3 bosses? Also, I'm not sure whether chapter 3 is finished-- according to the readme, it is, but I have no idea how to progress in the story once Medicine is defeated. Thanks!
