As with the previous version of ULiL, version 1.10 won't start up on computers that (as I've heard) use Nvidia Graphics cards, or something of the sort.
However, last time, I was informed you could open it with a hex editor and change the code to make it run. Before version 1.10 you could change address "00257e16" from "0f 83 d8 00 00 00" to "e9 d9 00 00 00 90." However, since updating, the code seems to have been altered. While the first string of hex values (0f 83 d8 00 00 00) are still there, changing them doesn't help, and the game still won't open.
Of course, simply opening it in Applocale doesn't do anything either.
In any case, I was hoping someone more knowledgeable about programming might have an idea. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Care to help someone having the same issue? I can't get my copy working anymore. Ran as administrator, used compatibility mode, used Applocale, nothing. Doesn't boot anymore.

Make sure you're updated to version v1.11.
Out of curiosity, could you check if the (in-development) English Patch is able to fix the crashes? The latest build (th145e-RC2 as of this post) can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/TouhouPatchCenter
Otherwise, someone made a launcher that should open Touhou 14.5 v1.11 without any fuss: https://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,17762.msg1207892.html#msg1207892

Was updated to the most recent version; adding the English patch finally got it to boot. Thanks!
